Omahyra can really do no wrong in my eyes. The hat is questionable, but I'll let it slide because it's her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:49 AM) :

haha i really really like this one!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:55 AM) :

fierce!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:12 AM) :

Enough to turn a man off women for life!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:28 AM) :

Omahyra is my favorite model ever! She is so cool.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:37 AM) :

She can do no wrong in my eyes!

Blogger alex said ... (5:02 AM) :

The outfit is amazing, but the hat...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:17 AM) :

always loved her. more designers should use her.

Blogger The Voracious Vegan said ... (5:23 AM) :

Oh I love it! So much humor, I love the smirk!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:24 AM) :

Is she American?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:16 AM) :

wow, what a stunner!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:22 AM) :

I love Omahyra. She can pull ANYTHING off...and she's always had this rock star i-don't-give-a-crap attitude..unlike some Hollywood celebs that try too hard to get the same look and vibe, she's natural.

Blogger The Beauty Mum said ... (6:37 AM) :

One of a kind...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:07 AM) :

decidedly not a girlie-girl!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:14 AM) :

truly brilliant!

Blogger color lili said ... (7:50 AM) :

great urban and etnic mix !

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:28 AM) :

Man or woman?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:41 AM) :

she was wearing the exact same outfit on Face Hunter....doesn't she have anything else to wear?!
great style though

Blogger Karishma Harjani said ... (9:12 AM) :

I absolutely love Omahrya! I am actually surprised she has gone for such a feminine look (dress & sandals).. but of course she had to top it up with the cap to make it more her! She pulls it off only because it is her!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:24 AM) :

She hot!

Blogger Landis said ... (10:52 AM) :

wow.
havin a nineties versace meets beastie boyz flashion-back.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:37 AM) :

this was on garance dore about a month ago, but it's still a great photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:45 AM) :

love how she is fearless and fun in her approach to fashion. a true inspiration!

Blogger John Jannuzzi said ... (12:31 PM) :

amazingggggggg

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:36 PM) :

No,I don´t like her cap. The dress is an extreme already,so why top it with a cap so plain ugly?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:40 PM) :

THE BEST
I never see her anymore, not that she probably even needs to work these days.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:44 PM) :

Horrible. The cap really ruins it. The sandals look great though

Blogger ricola said ... (12:49 PM) :

She really is stunning. I wonder what she's been up to.

Blogger Rumi Neely said ... (12:51 PM) :

The definition of cool.

Blogger O!Lightning said ... (1:35 PM) :

NICE!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:40 PM) :

love the kaftan dress....with a bit of rock chic look

Blogger Monday Afternoon said ... (1:52 PM) :

beautiful, she is definitely my favorite model.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:54 PM) :

omg.

it.looks.terrible...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:09 PM) :

ridiculous hat

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:46 PM) :

that hat is so new york ymca/ graffit scene. it breaks the ethno-look and goes perfectly together with the tatooes and the rough attitude. the feminine robe is complited with that uncomlicated attitude of her by wearing that stupid but cool hat

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:59 PM) :

I LOVE Omahyra! One of the few Dominican's in the fashion industry. Coming from a third world country where fashion may often be viewed as frivolity, it's nice to see that we too can enjoy clothing, fashion and art without guilt.

Thank you!

Blogger Maggie May said ... (3:03 PM) :

i respect it but i don't like it

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:53 PM) :

Hum... Definitely not the kind of style I am interested in...

Blogger natasha said ... (4:13 PM) :

what happened to her modelcareer? i really like her : )

Blogger danielle said ... (4:39 PM) :

right.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:47 PM) :

now that's what i call fashion.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:09 PM) :

reminds me of the thompson twins

Blogger Simone said ... (5:38 PM) :

love Omahyra!
especially the shoes

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:38 PM) :

Put the dress and sandals on a different model, and there you go, a nice outfit. But she ruins it.

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:04 PM) :

What a BAMF.
I think the pattern of her dress is gorgeous, especially with the glads.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:38 PM) :

she's f***ing awesome!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:53 PM) :

i love omahyra!!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:45 PM) :

Wow. She is so striking. An unforgettable face and attitude.
And I love what she's wearing. The dress is fabulous, and the hat makes what could be a rather trendy outfit truly belong to her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:04 PM) :

She is Dominican, she rocks!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:28 PM) :

something isn't right...it's almost like a guy wearing a dress...the look might have worked on someone feminine looking.

Blogger FlashBastard said ... (11:45 PM) :

Nah

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:02 AM) :

Don't care who she is. Yuck!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:19 AM) :

Work miss THANG!! i love it !!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:02 AM) :

I like her outfit except the hat, but don't like the attitude, somehow it has an aura that doesn't match the clothing.

-VD-

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:10 AM) :

I ran into this one as she waiting for a storm to pass with an equally as attractive male last fall in Manhattan. I've never seen someone pull of the drowned rat look so flawlessly.

I llllove this chick and wish that she was around more.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:22 AM) :

Badass with a capital F***ing!!! Talk about a style maverick right? And with such ease nonetheless.

-AM

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:05 AM) :

Really hate the hat . . . it's giving me early 90s flashbacks to those sequined caps from Thailand that you could buy at every street market in London. They were so ugly they even made it into one of AbFab's many fashion sight-gags! Some trends don't deserve to be revived.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:06 AM) :

Incredible. What a sense of confidence and personal style, and yet it nods to so many key trends. A brilliant example of how to work a trend rather than slavishly follow fashion.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:07 AM) :

OHHHHHHHHH YESSSSSS!!!!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:11 AM) :

She is a beautiful woman and while I like the shoes and dress and also appreciate a "tougher" look, there is something about the hat, pose and expression that I find obnoxious and the opposite of true style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:47 AM) :

great great great look!

more models with tattoos!

more attitude!

love everything about her!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:01 AM) :

love the dress, need the shoes... love how she pulled it all together.

Blogger norawoah said ... (11:47 AM) :

She looks amazing. How do you manage to run into models, on the street, like everyday?

Blogger liz song mandell said ... (11:59 AM) :

how unexpected.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:18 PM) :

Doesn't she look like that Royal Elastics model?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:07 PM) :

what a sweety...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:19 PM) :

I'm a little confused about the dress... is it tucked in to her underwear at the sides?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:42 PM) :

Nenah Cherry lives!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:09 PM) :

its like boho meets rocker love it!!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:28 PM) :

Part hippie, part hip hop, all sass! She knows she does not have to be just one thing at a time. I'm so glad that her gorgeous butchness does not get lost in the very femme dress. Her vibrant personality shines here--and isn't that the best thing about her style?

Blogger comfies said ... (5:35 PM) :

the irreverence already. love.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:10 PM) :

love love love
thats all i have for this look
she pulls it off with such ease and its the perfect mix of summer sweet and punk cool

Blogger matt williams said ... (7:13 PM) :

I love Omahyra. I guess she has retired from modeling now. She is really tated up.

Blogger Charlé said ... (7:52 PM) :

AH! One of my favorite models. This is truly inspirational personal style.

Blogger CULTURE CREATORS said ... (8:51 PM) :

I LOVE her and her bad ass ways.haha:)

xCC

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:31 PM) :

kick ass!!!

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:38 AM) :

Very edgy and original...I love it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:09 AM) :

Strange blouson effect she has created by tucking her dress into her underwear. And don't get me started on the trucker cap.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:55 AM) :

This girl is wearing 5 decades worth of style!

Late 60s: Indian print
Early 70s: Dashiki style
Early 80s: Curls peekin' out under oversized sideways Hip-Hop/New Wave baseball cap
Early 90s: Hmmmm. The tats are in the current "mess style" design, but I'm puttin' them here 'cause that's when people my age started - and finished - with the tattoo.
Current day: Gladiator!

She rocks.

Blogger junglesiren said ... (3:53 AM) :

Omahrya!!! My favorite model and the very definition of "a hot mess". This girl leaves the runway in smoldering embers. I'd hate to have to follow her, that's for sure. All those girls look interchangeable marching out, she really breaks up the monotony.

No, I don't dig the hat but you know....I can't say I hate it (which I would on probably anyone else) and that's 'cause of the confidence she exudes. Sexy, crazy thang.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:58 AM) :

I adore Omahyra. She is a talented, beautiful and gifted woman. I love her attitude..and this picture shows is perfectly!
Love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:26 AM) :

wow...her name is beautiful. I don't particulary like the outfit but I love her attitude.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:49 PM) :

Omahyra, when i first saw her on the runway, I totally felt in love with her own unique sense of style.

Blogger cuteboysmakemenervous said ... (1:50 PM) :

Man I don't understand how she mixes that hat with that dress and those sandals and it still looks so awesome. I'm jealous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:32 PM) :

Horrible. The hat, the shoes, even the way she is posing with her fist in the air. Just awful.

Blogger Samantha said ... (4:57 PM) :

Gladiator sandals are a little dated love the FIERCE attitude though

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:26 PM) :

Wow! Scary in a really cool way.

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:38 PM) :

I don't know anything about her, but I don't like the outfit. It's, um, not cute. At all. I like the shoes, but I can see those at Macy's. Seriously, Sart, if she weren't a model, would this outfit really have caught your eye?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:56 PM) :

The hat is really unforgivable. Oy. Great shoes, though.

Blogger Lacroix said ... (2:59 AM) :

so beautiful!

Blogger boxgirl said ... (10:51 AM) :

bring on some sass!
she looks rad. how refreshing.
much more interesting/sexy than most of the trendy designer clones that you often feature in my humble opinion.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:03 PM) :

You've all said it before, but I'll say it again:

Omahyra is awesome! I love that dress.

Blogger Sean Santiago said ... (12:28 PM) :

awesome. just awesome.

Blogger wilsonreps said ... (3:40 PM) :

that's wifey.

Blogger Basco Five said ... (8:38 PM) :

I like it, I do find the sandals just a bit to "Roman Empire" but still it got my attention.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:02 PM) :

oh she's wearing the same dress as when Garance (Garancedore.fr) snapped her a few months ago!!

She still looks amazing though ;)

Blogger Johanne said ... (7:02 AM) :

I agree with Alex here..What's with the hat?? Love the dress though!

Blogger he says, she says, i said ... (9:36 PM) :

i think it totally works -

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:19 AM) :

Yikes. Maybe she's doing that whole "I'm so pretty that I need to ugly myself up a bit to avoid people ogling me all the time" thing. Because she really is hot...when not dressed like this.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:49 AM) :

I love her she is so hot!

really great. i'm glad for this person

Blogger Tu-Anh said ... (10:22 PM) :

this girl doesnt even have to try.

Blogger margaux said ... (8:53 AM) :

the hat is definitely not an element of style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:17 PM) :

wicked outfit! definition of personal style

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:57 PM) :

Hell yes. Personal style at it's best.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:16 AM) :

none of it "goes" but it doesnt appear to matter on this occassion.
She looks like Samantha Ronson in a dress. heh! It's fun with attitude and the dress itself is truly beautiful.

Blogger Louise said ... (8:15 AM) :

Rocks. The pavement is pounding as she walks.
