I told you, Leadenhall Market, mate. Under cover. Lots of Double Breasted suits. Long leg'ed Tottie in Chanel.

Really, you seem to be lost outside of Manhattan.

where are you going to be? I just want to take some snaps of you taking snaps!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:35 PM) :

London is always raining...

Blogger Andrew Hulley said ... (6:57 PM) :

It was chucking it down today and it's not due to stop until Tuesday. Looks like I chose the right day to buy an umbrella, especially when my car broke down and I had to walk.

Darling Sartorialist,

Welcome to the damp but never dreary streets of London! I shall look for your elegant eye my dear...

May, London, rain? - surely you jest!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:36 PM) :

I love London. Great classic style and lively youth culture. I'm excited for your photos!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:22 AM) :

Please, please, please some pictures of people dressing like adults.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:41 AM) :

Go out right this minute (8.43am, Thursday morning)! It's sunnyish. Well, it's not raining anyway.

Blogger Reena Rai said ... (3:42 AM) :

Good news, the weather is set to improve from today, or so the weather lady tells me. By improving, I mean mere sunny spells or cloudy, rather than completely chucking it down. Sart, how long will you be in London for?

Blogger Jo said ... (3:57 AM) :

looking forward to ideas for rainy days

Blogger Jules Evans said ... (4:09 AM) :

Never fear - today and tomorrow there is at least some sunshine and apparently, no rain!

We're not doing much to quash the national stereotype, it's true... but if you lived here you'd talk about the weather all time time too. We love it.

Hey Scott,

It will only cost you 30 euro's (around 45 dollars) to fly to my home country! (The Netherlands)

Please make some pictures of the WANNABE's in Amsterdam.

I can't wait to see some pics of the London folks!

But you packed the sou'wester, the waders, a plastic bib overall, a tarp poncho and Gore-tex fleece lined rain jacket; right? (the temperature won't rise above 55 degrees either). Failing that go to a Barbour store and purchase an ankle length riding Barbour with detachable shoulder cape and you'll be all set! have a great time and try to check out London's great art scene - Tate Modern late night opening on friday's attracts a styish crowd.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:39 AM) :

that won't compare to rain in Scotland!

I want to see pics of:
a punk
a businessman wearing a bowler hat
a pearly king
someone in tweed wearing a deer stalker
and er, a beatle.
Look, if we're going to go on about the rain we may as well get some other cliches in too...

Rain is London is just a good excuse to buy a wonderful, vintage Burberry. I got mine a couple of weeks back at Broadway Market. If you squint, I look just like Audrey Hepburn in it. ;)

Blogger pavlova said ... (3:50 PM) :

It was swealteringly hot today in London before the rain clouds came out suddenly... actually I find that my vintage Burberry trench (inherited from my mother) is no longer waterproof so had to take the rain :(

As for the first comment - Leadenhall market is great for suited specimens. The younger kids tend to head out to Shoreditch and the posh girls hand out in Sloane Square/The King's Road. Happy shooting!

I love london for the fusion of different style. recently believe it has been rather disappointing though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:51 PM) :

Everyone wears them at the beach in france.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:31 AM) :

Paris has the same weather on most days... everyone forgets that. The North is strangely sunny whilst Londoners are inheriting weather fronts from France.

Have you got a particular project Sart?

I love London... Its nice to see raining in London...
