Fantastic. I begin to fall for classic plaid shirts. I love the long cardigan underneath, love dark jeans, love the belt, love sunglasses. But this woman can probably wear anything... Beautiful woman.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:27 AM) :

nothing short of fabulous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:36 AM) :

God I love this women! Something about her is just so radiant!!! She's a real breath of fresh air...you know? Love EVERYTHING she wears...Does anyone know what she actually does for a living? Would love to see more of her!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:40 AM) :

wow amazing shot, love the sunnies & the way she wore that cardigon...

Blogger marchingbandemporium said ... (5:51 AM) :

Beautiful photo and lovely use of blue tones. really sets off her skin.

Blogger Jen said ... (6:11 AM) :

Truly amazing photo. Not only the girl herself, but the weather, the atmotsphere, the clothes..

Again with the bright klein blue to contrast, this is something I need to pick up myself, so inspiring! A hint of colour to an otherwise dark outfit.. Much needed in dull Sweden.

I didn't truly like the jean colour, would've preferred it black or light denim. Or at least not that undefinable dark blue/green kinda Diesel tinto.

Thank you Sart, for doing what you do best.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:12 AM) :

great combination! I love that cardigan

Blogger howe said ... (6:23 AM) :

I believe this girl has been featured on this site before, no? I remember her for her fabulous haircut and dazzling smile.

I love the blue plaid shirt - it serves as a good accent to the comparably sombre colours of the other pieces.

Blogger Cheltenhamdailyphoto said ... (7:08 AM) :

Wow that's very stylish, i like it a lot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:11 AM) :

amazing

Blogger Kara said ... (7:45 AM) :

We've been seeing a lot of plaids from you. I love it.

I, for one, cannot believe how slender she looks with so many layers. It's also a really put-together layered look, as I can see every layer in its order, neatly arranged at her elbow.

Do you think such layering can achieve the very slender effect only on a very thin woman? Or is this sort of look an art that bigger woman could attain to?

Her hair just perfects the overall ease of the outfit. I really like this.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:17 AM) :

She's back!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:22 AM) :

What a joy! She looks really casually well put-together. She is totally and gloriously French in her Charlotte Gainsbourg way. Ravissante!

Blogger tn said ... (10:19 AM) :

This is exactly the kind of look that appeals to me most -- lean, confident, intelligent. Love the coat and the jeans, love her attitude.

Blogger Monika said ... (10:25 AM) :

wow!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:40 AM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:44 AM) :

This is just COOL.
I love menwear on gorgeous women.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:01 PM) :

wow!!! thats all I can say. I wish I would see these people in the streets once in awhile. Just Beautiful, the layering, the long blue plaid dress shirt, that brings alive the entire ensemble. It is so relaxed her outfit, all the way up to her hair, so effortless, yet sophisticated.

Blogger Laurel said ... (12:08 PM) :

WOW. I saw this photo and literally went hand to mouth - she looks incredible. I NEED that flannel.

She is absolutely gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:22 PM) :

Blogger momo said ... (12:40 PM) :

The most gorgeous smile!

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:40 PM) :

wow. perfect. love the sleeves and proportions.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:43 PM) :

Love her hair, her sunglasses, and her beautiful attitude.
The outfit, not so much. The plaid shirt and the belted sweater are already looking too trendy to me.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:46 PM) :

perfect blend of cas chic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:54 PM) :

Gorgeous.
The jacket is superb. It's plain but it accentuates her tiny frame and the arm length is perfect. The blue and the black work really well. Normally, I'm not a fan of those two colours together.
Only thing I'm not sure about is the wash of those jeans.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:58 PM) :

What a beautiful smile and wonderful ray bans!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:59 PM) :

Great photo - makes you want to be there talking to her.

Blogger Blue Floppy Hat said ... (1:45 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:51 PM) :

Beautiful smile

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (1:52 PM) :

Another capture where I don't really notice what she is wearing because of her beautiful smile! Love her wistful hair and the sunglasses.

She's back and she is really just fabulous!

thumbs up sart.

Blogger whyioughtta said ... (2:53 PM) :

I've been an absolute fan of hers since first seeing her on your site--she always looks so good but also very natural. She's a total inspiration. More pics of her please...:^)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:16 PM) :

on the street?
this isn't right before or after a fashion show?
i think it is.
please fairly represent these glamorous people in their glamorous life. don't make us feel like they look like this when they run to the corner store to buy milk.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:28 PM) :

Yasmin's back! Love the cobalt and black. And of course, the hair.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:45 PM) :

Loving how such a simple belt completely makes this ensemble.

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:57 PM) :

This look gives grunge a tailored appeal. The hair is fun. An easy, chic look for a long, lean, lady.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:08 PM) :

she's an understated gorgeous

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:15 PM) :

My favourite indigo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:16 PM) :

so, so fabulous. her personality shines first and then her beautiful hair and smile and then the way that the clothes compliment her body and aforementioned personality. <3

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:26 PM) :

Sleeve placement, jean fit, shirt pattern, belt width, jacket length, ringlet drop... Fab!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:30 PM) :

i really want to comment on this girls outfit and the photo, but i'm out of words.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:44 PM) :

Gorgeous neck!I'm pretty sure the shirt is a Berangere Claire, very hip in France lately.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:47 PM) :

She's amazing

Blogger MARIA H said ... (4:52 PM) :

So totally refreshing!
Incredible: this blue -a trendy color- is brought back to amaze with ingenious use of layers to create a perfect balance of confidence, ease, and great creative sense. Yasmin deserves more credit than some other figures that merely buy and wear whole outfits, loosing all sense of whim or even charisma. Yasmin makes easy to understand the difference between "consumers" of fashion, and a real fashionable self.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:03 PM) :

i love how plaid is making a comeback

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:03 PM) :

she's so beautiful! i love her!

Blogger g.lock said ... (5:29 PM) :

Who is she?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:37 PM) :

Love the girl, the colors and the picture.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:48 PM) :

this woman's hair always looks so great. PLEASE ask her to do a sartoria-list!
I'm really liking the return of plaid.

Blogger Rapunzel said ... (5:48 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:24 PM) :

o, she's so cute, and you captured her enthusiasm perfectly, great shirt, glasses...and anything in paris is obviously wonderful.

Blogger Scent Hive said ... (6:52 PM) :

I love the shots of this woman! In fact, I was just thinking of her because I'm wondering if I should chop my hair off like hers. What a great cut and smile!! She'd look amazing wearing anything.

Blogger www.rcwoolley.com said ... (7:00 PM) :

this is a beautiful woman! her hair tumbles perfectly in the breeze

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:00 PM) :

...and my heart melts. Wonderful photo.

Blogger Victoria said ... (7:32 PM) :

I was just thinking of Yasmin Sewell today, as I'm headed to the hairdresser on Tuesday to give my curls some life! It's amazing how she can make everything work for her body and lines... love the lumberjack shirt and grandpa cardigan with a lovely ladylike coat!

Blogger Chloe said ... (8:05 PM) :

this makes me want a plaid shirt and a long cardigan like NOW.

Blogger Janelle said ... (8:44 PM) :

I love the black jacket with pushed up sleeves. I have seen this done many times and it mostly just looks sloppy. This is effortless and very cool.

Blogger J said ... (8:53 PM) :

I love this shot - the plaid shirt takes me back to the '80s but in a good way!

Blogger trinity0207 said ... (9:27 PM) :

Gorgeous. Sigh. I wonder if it's possible to look similarly stylish if one is working with Gap and Banana Republic rather than Balenciaga.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:31 PM) :

This is a fun and light look, because of her smile.
I like that the layers are fitted, casual but not overly fussy. This is a very flexible look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:35 PM) :

This is Yasmin Sewell: the buying director for Browns, however, it is rumoured that she is to launch her own fashion and retail consultancy business...

Blogger MARIA H said ... (10:14 PM) :

BTW: she is not french!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:19 PM) :

Perfect Proportions.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:20 PM) :

Perfect Proportions!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:02 PM) :

It's beauty blog :D

Blogger pearlaceous said ... (11:07 PM) :

Great photo! A perfect way to wear a belted cardigan. Love the sleekness of her coat, the scrunched up layers at her sleeve, and her hair..

Blogger Chic Closet said ... (11:29 PM) :

HOT HOT HOT! I love how everything she's wearing is so well put together! Love it totally :)

Blogger Shopaholic D said ... (11:37 PM) :

:) D

Blogger Mare said ... (11:46 PM) :

i want to be her friend.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:01 AM) :

the layering is fabulous!

and the cobalt blue really stands out against all that black.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:08 AM) :

love her automatically. such a jubliant face that easily transcends into her style.

A++++

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:15 AM) :

Damn her, she always looks beautiful! The belt at the waist paired with the partly open cardigan might make others look pregnant, but she still looks fabulous. Love the long curving lines of the coat and the casually pulled-up sleeves.

Her smile is downright gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:21 AM) :

Wow! Absolutely stunning!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:44 AM) :

I love that look!!!

When "In Barcelona"? :D

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:38 AM) :

she is australian, originally, and a buyer for a London department store, i think

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:52 AM) :

Yasmin's not French-she is Australian(but lives in London and is/was a buyer for Browns?) One of the things i love about Australia is we represent such great diverse styles - the beach babe "Elle" look, the fashion forward Yasmin's and Cate B's (but maybe not so much the "yobbo" ugg boot look!!)
Anyway, such a lovely happy looking woman-with a great eye for fashion!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:46 AM) :

The ol' flanny, very Sydney-western suburbs, circa 1975 (well, it never really went out of fashion). They'll be laughing their guts out in Blacktown! Perhaps Yasmin is embracing her Australian heritage?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:43 AM) :

I'm sure that this is Yasmin Sewell, buying director for Browns Fashion. She is of course English. Great sunnies, even better smile.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:07 AM) :

Oh she is a beauty! I love your work, Sart. I also think it's awesome that you approve all comments before they are published. I used to run a streetstyle-blog, and when we noticed that not all people are very nice, and that the internet may be a cruel place, we had to enable the comments application. It feels like the time for all the small streetstyleblogs is over, but your work is so great, it won't die out

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:27 AM) :

She's an Aussie by the way.

Blogger OndrejS said ... (7:15 AM) :

What I really like is the way she handled sleeves. Both the coat and shirt are great. Although I would work a bit more on the neck. Why not put the shirt collar over the coat?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:18 AM) :

I love the way this woman is dressed! :)

Bon Baisers de Nice

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:29 AM) :

not sure if this has been said already but it's yasmin sewel and she's a buyer for browns in london (or was last time i heard!)....also....she's not french, she's australian!! yay for the Aussie contingent :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:46 AM) :

I am glad that Spring is almost here. My winter has been so flannel, cashmere and merino wool bakari. This is a great photo that just oozes Spring. In this photo, black has never seemed so full of the life of spring. Brill photo.

T.

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:49 AM) :

She looks amazing the shirt and jeans are both ACNE - the jean I think is the LUV - the best cut ever!, and the jacket Balenciaga

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:17 AM) :

GOSH! I love this look! I like how she belted the cardigan, rather than buttoning. The combination of colors is just wonderful! The splash of blue and plaid is done right, with just a little bit of sleeve showing. And most importantly she's equipped with a beautiful smile. She's absolutely DIVINE!

Lovely job Sart!

Blogger Barbara said ... (8:45 AM) :

I love the jacket. Anyone know who it is by? I've noticed here recently and remembered how nice Browns fashion was when I emailed them about a product. You don't find that too often now.

Blogger Holly said ... (9:39 AM) :

it's simply chic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:52 AM) :

Casual and sexy simultaneously. Very nice.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:06 AM) :

Hah, she's not french, she's australian!..yasmin sewell, former buying director of browns of london. agreed, she is gorgeous with a fantasic sense of style.

Blogger The Spicers said ... (10:40 AM) :

Yasmin Sewell always looks gorgeous, without being a slave to trends. Can't wait to see what she'll do post-Brown's.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:41 AM) :

I love all the lines,so well fitted. I love her coat. I bought those same glasses last month.

Blogger Laguna Beach Fogey said ... (11:56 AM) :

Great photo, Sart. She is FIERCE!! I love the long coat, the denim, the sunglasses, and especially her amazing smile. She looks very happy. Well done.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:23 PM) :

YASMIN!!!
I'm hoping my comment had something to do with the shot. ;)
I missed her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:35 PM) :

Beautiful jacket!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:49 PM) :

Sart : awsome picture...
I wonder what kind of shoes was Yasmin wearing with that outfit??

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:21 PM) :

Uhg. I don't know, Sart. Great photo (as usual), but I have to be honest, I didn't like this look in the 80s, and don't much care for it now. I see absolutely nothing original here.
And all the FAWNING!
OMG, it's really off putting.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:50 PM) :

completely in love with this look... the blue plaid pops perfectly, love the cinched high waist and rolled sleeves.

Blogger Michelle said ... (4:57 PM) :

You always capture people at their best and most beautiful!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:14 PM) :

I am very proud to say that this chic lady is an Australian.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:58 PM) :

Another Aussie!

Blogger Anthony said ... (9:14 PM) :

I simply cannot get over how adorable she looks.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:28 PM) :

Love u Sart!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:52 AM) :

yasmin sewell is a buyer yes? she always looks great but im very surprised plaid is STILL around...

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:46 AM) :

How wonderful...so understated and classy. And she doesn't look like she's trying too hard - she's just naturally fabulous.

I have to say, I'm not usually a fan of plaid, but I'm definitely loving it in the looks that you've been showing us, Sart. I might have to go out and buy some flannel! :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:47 AM) :

It's so funny that everyone says she looks so quintessentially French, because she's actually Australian.

From Sydney, in fact.

Thanks whyioughtta , 10.03.a.m,
not so mad about the whole outfit though...
nevetheless, she looks gourgeous

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:37 PM) :

This woman could wear burlap and look good.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:49 PM) :

Each layer must be paper thin to pull off such a slim look, even the rolled up sleeves don't look bulky, maybe its the lighting, maybe its her, I guess i'll never know.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:20 AM) :

is there any chance you can put australian in the title. people don't read the comments and think she is french. you did after all point out the next photograph of the gentlemen was american.

Blogger Anastasia said ... (7:31 AM) :

the girls got style...love this simple look...the shirt makes it pop! gosh Yasmin has great hair! FAB!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:12 PM) :

Haven´t been commenting for a while, cause nearly all the comments are just so awsome, awsome and where do you get this and that.Kinda sick of all the praising comments. As if everyone thinks the same way. This lady is a refreshing pic. Looks like she is really enjoying herself and why not ,the sun is shining and she isn´t over- or underdressed.

Blogger Amicacarmilla said ... (2:23 PM) :

she left school at 15, has been buyer at browns for several years and now she is setting up her own fashion consultancy business. very powerful woman, fashion-wise.

great smile. she is an inspiration.

browns is a unique shop because as they pride themselves to buy only what they really like. i look forward to explore their bridal section.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:16 PM) :

SOOOO GOOOD!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:12 AM) :

Thank God, one other person didn't like this 80s flannel look - I am not alone! (I wonder if they're Australian too, and if this hatred of flannel is merely cultural cringe?) I suspect no-one would be raving about this outfit if this woman was not tall, thin and beautiful. What makes it is the gorgeous smile.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:21 AM) :

she's australian, i think, her name is yasmin sewell. shes a buyer for a store in london

Blogger Ellie said ... (5:12 PM) :

The plaid print and the blue of her shirt just makes this outfit pop. Absolutely beautiful smile and hair which sets of your pic amazingly.

This beautiful lady is Yasmin Sewell, a buyer for Browns in London and the epitome of chic in my opinion.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:49 PM) :

Ah, Yasmin Sewell. Great combination. The colour of her jeans suits the dark blue section of her plaid shirt. Also, the shirt's sleeve that peeks out a little bit from her blazer/coat gives just that right amount of zest to spice up this whole combo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:32 PM) :

this is just beautiful! no better words come to my mind. I would only like to see the shoes too, so I can have a complete image of how this beautiful woman looks:) I hope to get a short description. (and that wild hair and wide smile, beaut..)
