mmm... love the print.

Blogger Ruby Hoppen said ... (12:19 AM) :

He looks beautiful, I love the fluid line that his outfit creates.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:22 AM) :

love the cigarette in hand.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:25 AM) :

Those pants are an absolute work of art, but the shirt is awkward and the shoes don't flow with the rest of the getup.

Though it seems as if it would be difficult to find anything that could suitably compliment the pants, and much kudos for the attempt and bravery, I don't think this fits together well.

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:47 AM) :

beautiful trousersgyeq

Blogger Uinku said ... (6:39 AM) :

It's Heaven Tanudiredja, he designs/makes jewellery. Anna Wintour walked passed him and said 'wow, chique' and then suddenly all the photographers made pictures of him, haha. He does look really cool, I want the sweater. And I love the way he incorporated the Dries pants (which is meant for women) in this outfit. It doesn't look feminine at all on him.

Blogger Uinku said ... (6:42 AM) :

BTW, I would also loovvee to see more guys that can pull off women's clothes. I've also seen this picture (made by you) of a guy wearing this grey furr coat on style.com. That one was also amazing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:14 AM) :

I am lost on the pants...completely lost. He found a nice sweater to accomodate his extremely long arms. Dig It ! WOW!

Blogger pintón said ... (8:16 AM) :

Oh, this look makes me goose pimple!!!

Blogger blueskies2day said ... (8:49 AM) :

He looks great - it's quite unusual to see men in floral prints, but it really suits him.

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (9:12 AM) :

Love hs look! His pants are amazing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:22 AM) :

How original for a men's look!

Blogger Landis said ... (9:57 AM) :

pssst.

darling.

you're wearing your mommy's lounge pants.

now put down the ciggy and put them back before she comes home.

or AT LEAST throw on some heels . . .

Blogger Style Eyes said ... (10:37 AM) :

Looks great. I'm not so sure how many men could carry off this look!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:38 AM) :

I need to get myself an outfit like this. :)

Blogger La Terpette said ... (10:40 AM) :

Where can I get pants like those?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:55 AM) :

Oh my god, where can I buy his outfit????

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:07 AM) :

it's such a casually chic outfit..he wears it well!

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:23 AM) :

the adventurousness of the outfit is refreshing, but the shapes are unflattering and just don't speak to me. all i'm getting are box shapes without the details to make it anything but soupy. perhaps this would have been better as a moving shot, and the pants could show what they're made of so-to-speak, and add the cheeky elegance they hint at.

Blogger rheak said ... (12:07 PM) :

This is gorgeous, form, fluidity, print, colour, references, but in my opinion probably works so well and seems wearable because he's asian. It is beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:16 PM) :

AWESOME. Modern but still a great callback to heritage and culture.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:23 PM) :

BOAH ! Wie geil ist das den ?
Its breathtaking good but i'dont know why.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:54 PM) :

My goodness - he looks beautiful. I love each piece he is wearing here. Harmonious!

(except the ciggie - why can't someone turn their attention to designing attractive ciggie butts?)

Blogger Sam said ... (12:57 PM) :

My grandmother has the same pants. She's apparently very chic for an 85 year old.

Blogger Laguna Beach Fogey said ... (1:00 PM) :

Nice photo, Sart.

Are they , Lily Pulitzer pants?

Blogger reverend dick said ... (1:49 PM) :

Uuuuuuunfortunate combover.

He's holding the smoke with panache.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:42 PM) :

I love everything about his outfit except for the fact that his shoes are dirty. :-/

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:50 PM) :

Great shot Sart

too funny

Blogger Victoria said ... (7:31 PM) :

This is a perfect example of the completely versatile ensemble... this would work on man, woman, child, senior, short, tall, etc. Not to mention his face is giving a vibe like "What's the big deal? I came out of the womb looking like this"

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:35 PM) :

Everybody talks about the trousers, but what about the cardigan? I love it.

Blogger a side order of style said ... (10:48 PM) :

realistic? No. I can see no task in real life that would call for this outfit. Awesome? YES. I love it. even down to the stray hair aiming to catch up to the rest of his swept bangs.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:30 AM) :

the cardigan is nice, i love the v-neck form. i think it works with those extraordinary trousers, but what definately doesn't work are the shoes.
the foto itself is really great!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:05 PM) :

The pants look a little too feminine.

Blogger Pistachio Of Liberty said ... (12:33 PM) :

I like the cardigan too. And though the shoes could be hmmm... better ... wow I love this. It's true about his slightly F U ish. "What. What are you looking at? What sheep you all are" expression being very sexy [to me, FYI a straight female].

Obviously it could be Auntie's loungewear, as some have said. But I get a Johnny Depp vibe. Like, "I wear it because I can - and I CAN simply by virtue of the fact that I DO". Some womens' garments worn by men look feminine or shout genderbender. But here, even though it's floral, it reads to me as more of a tribal/ethnic.

In the '60s I remember my father wearing floral-patterned shirts, and ties with pink and orange daisies - and to his engineering job! So what happened? Today are flowers really limited only to those very secure in their masculinity?

And yes, his race makes the whole thing look more Eastern and natural, but I think the certain Nordic scruffbabe could rock it - maybe looking like an extra from Jesus Christ Superstar (which is certainly not everyone's cup of tea - but it's mine, so). Verdict? Yum.

Blogger JO said ... (2:32 PM) :

I want those pants! Love them!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:29 PM) :

It's probably all Dries Van Notens wear, as the guy is a Dries Van Noten staff member... or maybe it's Kenzo? See another pic of the guy right here: http://blogs.lexpress.fr/cafe-mode/2008/02/defile_dries_van_noten_1.html#trackbacks

I saw this guy in front of baccarat in paris few weeks a go !! he also wearing fully printed outfit that night from prada together with givenchy cape, and he look super amazing ! He look so much taller also, who is this guy ? so many photographer also taking picture of him that night' and he just smile amazingly and relax go in to the restaurant' ... im in love !!

Blogger khin said ... (12:37 PM) :

I have to say, I actually quite enjoy the shoes, in comparison to the rest of the outfit. Those puppies have been worn out! Whereas the gorgeous trousers and cardigan look comfortable but elegant, the shoes really bring the look to a human level.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:06 PM) :

beautiful !

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:58 AM) :

i just love the way he look. anymore picture of this boy or girl ?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:47 AM) :

Fantastic! It's not everyone who can even think to wear this, never mind look flawless in it! I love this entire outfit and if those pants are really women's, then this must be inspiration for some designer to make them for men.

Energie
