who is this? i recognise him from somewhere... anyway like the look, but i mean it helps when u have an amazing face! the shoes are really great too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:20 AM) :

I don't care what he's wearing under the coat - I want him out of it!

Blogger stylePOVist said ... (9:08 AM) :

1.Severe or stern in disposition or appearance; somber and grave: the austere figure of a Puritan minister.
2.Strict or severe in discipline; ascetic: a desert nomad's austere life.
3.Having no adornment or ornamentation; bare: an austere style. See Synonyms at severe.

I think the above explained it all. He's very sexy!

Blogger Akeem A. said ... (9:18 AM) :

I hope he is, the coat itself is beautiful, but a bit large no?

Blogger Misterparticular said ... (9:23 AM) :

Another great shot sart!
Is this where a coat meets a cape? Those raglan sleeves and that bitty belts meake this coat look so fresh. Of course the slim trouser leg, beat-up shoe, and chisled features don't hurt either. Also nice move not adding a euro scarf ...would have been too much.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:01 AM) :

Isn't this coat a bit bulky, actually?i.e not the tailored look that you would ordinarily endorse. Either way, it looks good. Don't like the pants though and jury still out on the shoes. There's something about this picture and this guy that is right, but at the same time that just doesn't gel. Who knows.

Blogger An Aesthete's Lament said ... (10:06 AM) :

Chic silhouette though.

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (10:07 AM) :

Oh hello. Oh, and that coat is absolutely sumptuous!

Anonymous MensFlair said ... (10:12 AM) :

Essential YSL indeed!

Anonymous tomassocroccante said ... (10:15 AM) :

I love this coat - even if it might be two sizes to big for him. Great color and shape, the raglan sleeves, the movement - and that tie belt. It adds up. I want one.

Anonymous Matt Maddox said ... (10:16 AM) :

Nice one, not even in the US!

Anonymous Jules said ... (10:24 AM) :

Too affected

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:10 AM) :

Lovelovelove those shoes!! The jacket has an interesting texture also.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:18 AM) :

ohhhh wow if this guy isn't a model he should be! what an arresting expression.. very James Dean-esque, and the shoes with yellow laces are charming.

Blogger tn said ... (11:51 AM) :

Stunning coat. I once tried on a YSL trench in Colette. Decided not to spend the euros and have regretted it ever since.

Blogger McTickle said ... (12:02 PM) :

It's a lot easier to be the creepy guy in the dark alley when your coat is dark too. I wouldn't take him seriously if he tried to mug me.

Anonymous miss-tal said ... (12:09 PM) :

how do you spot them? (well i guess that's your secret :-) I have been living for almost three years in this city and I seldom see such inspiring characters...

Anonymous cigalechanta said ... (12:12 PM) :

I like the coat and his rugged looks. Nicely snapped on that brick road.

Blogger cassaundra said ... (12:17 PM) :

5 stars.

what a beautiful man.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:22 PM) :

He's got a bit of film noir going ... like it!

Blogger Dulcinea said ... (12:24 PM) :

hot hot hot, hot damn!

Anonymous Buddhapest said ... (1:06 PM) :

Love the arched window in the background.
Love the belt on his coat, it gives him a monk aura.

Blogger Patrick Booth said ... (2:02 PM) :

"I bet he is wearing a sweater under there." Hahaha, good one, Scott!

Blogger NorthShore Chicago said ... (2:08 PM) :

Nice photo, but this guy looksl ike he borrowed his Dad's trenchcoat, and his Dad is Andre the Giant. And what's up with those shoes? At least his pants are nicely tailored.

Anonymous G said ... (2:13 PM) :

Beautiful man, beautiful coat, beautiful shoes.

Anonymous janejane said ... (2:44 PM) :

Jesus. He's like the man from my fantasies. Haunting, almost creepy, but fascinating.

And that coat.

Blogger miss cavendish said ... (3:00 PM) :

This looks like a very tall chap and he pulls off this oversized(?) overcoat beautifully.

Blogger Butch said ... (3:28 PM) :

Not a great raglan sleeves fan, but this guy could probably pull off most anything.

Except for the shoes--ouch!

Anonymous Elvin A. said ... (3:33 PM) :

Can you please define how long the dress pants should be?
I'm working in menswear store, and I was trained since my first day that pants should end an inch above the floor, or right by the top of the shoe heel. I noticed same length in another stores/ brands across North America. But watching all menswear pictures from europe, i see everybody have theirpants much what's right or what's appropriate for what?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:47 PM) :

What an impressive outfit...makes me think imposing and strong yet soft around the edges.

Anonymous morty said ... (3:58 PM) :

I bet he could wear many sweaters under that coat.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:28 PM) :

This picture reminds me of the Tamara DeLempika painting of the Scientist. It's the trench coat for one and secondly the emotion.

Blogger AdamfromVA said ... (5:25 PM) :

dude looks dope. cant stand the laces in his shoes. if i looked that good i would have a nicer look on my face.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:30 PM) :

nice coat and I like the tight cut of the trousers. colours fit nicely. nevertheless, altogether he looks as if he just jumped out of bed.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:31 PM) :

Cute guy, love the shoes... He knows he's rocking it, all broodish and what not

Anonymous harryrabbit said ... (7:15 PM) :

Coat is wonderful - the biggest raglan armholes with the thinnest tie belt, his 60s narrow pants and those oxblood shoes with the yellow laces. he looks like a young Rupert Everett. i love it.

Anonymous phineas said ... (7:29 PM) :

An exercise in proportion: the perfectly tailored pants (!!!) beneath that rather dramatic coat.

For me, though, the whole ensemble comes together with that belt.

Blogger ricpic said ... (7:51 PM) :

An Italian Jean Paul Belmondo.

I'll bet that coat, because of its material and light color, shows both wrinkles and dirt quickly and needs frequent cleaning to look good.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:53 PM) :

If I had this coat I don't think I'd wear anything under it just because it's so great on it's own. It'd be tied of course and with maybe a pair of slacks or jeans but only so I don't come off as weird.

Blogger Charles said ... (8:37 PM) :

The yellow laces are phat. I'm going to give it a try.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:08 PM) :

Many sweaters many many sweaters lol

Anonymous said ... (12:21 AM) :

looks like the guy from Paris with the striped socks.

Blogger meli said ... (3:10 AM) :

the guy is good.
At any rate, what I'm so into, right now is the colors in the picture. amazing ritrato + colour!

Anonymous maedchen said ... (3:47 AM) :

i love how large the coat is...better too wide then too tight.

Blogger underneath said ... (3:57 AM) :

This guy really has style - it`s rare to see a young guy who dears that extra volume in his coat. I love how it drapes in the back - and the narrow belt!

Anonymous Nico-underground said ... (4:23 AM) :

Guapisimo y muy elegante. ¿donde se esconden estos hombres?
From Spain, Greetings!!

Blogger Diana said ... (5:37 AM) :

Nice guy in a potato sack. An YSL potato sack.

Blogger Laurence John said ... (9:44 AM) :

i don't ordinarily like slouchy raglan sleeved overcoats, but this looks great on him.

Blogger cjdd said ... (10:44 AM) :

each piece on it's own is great, but those boots really don't seem to be supported by the pants at all. i feel like shorter pants look better with shoes, no? anyone?

Anonymous Zakisha Montel said ... (11:12 AM) :

I don't get it. It looks like the clothes are wearing him and not the other way round. Too bad because the clothes are nice.

Anonymous Claudio said ... (12:03 PM) :

Dont like the coat but like the shoes albeit yellow laces (?)

Anonymous Madrox said ... (10:55 PM) :

wow.....He looks like a walking unmade bed.....I guess thats stylish....=p
By the way, where did he steal that
Jacket from anyway???

Blogger Mr. Thouq said ... (2:13 AM) :

nice coat, but too large!

Anonymous veggiebear said ... (1:40 PM) :

Are we playing with shapes? I LOVE IT! At first I barely glanced at it- but when I blew it up I saw that this sweet macho head is well shrunken compared to his giant billowy coat. Then his legs look so bare and skinny (also playing with the light vs. dark!) with those GINORMOUS leather lace up shoes.. Tentatively scuffed perfection is what I call it!

Anonymous Laura Benamou said ... (3:35 PM) :

The coat is too big!!!!

Blogger carson.salter said ... (11:47 PM) :

who is this fellow? you shot him 'Paris chill, Rive Gauche' Jan 23, and FaceHunter shot him in paris Jan 17; always with those old trail boots (they are wonderful), and always in the rain.

Blogger deborah said ... (2:51 AM) :

I love this coat and how he blends in well with the scene.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:49 AM) :

That's Garth Spencer from GQ UK. V handsome.

Anonymous Engineer & Artist said ... (8:51 PM) :

I am really not wild about this coat. The skinny belt's pretty neat, but the raglan sleeves are a mistake dans mon avis.

What is that oatmeal-colored fabric? It's marvelous.

Blogger sandman_gr said ... (5:37 AM) :

Love this look! And the guy too, lol.

Blogger Fermina M said ... (4:03 PM) :

I think he is Sex on legs. He has a Viggo Mortensen quality, raw yet elegant. Funny how italien men are recognizable, classy and sexy, easy on the eyes and something in their posture. Love the coat, seems to have enough space for 2.
