Comments on "On the Street....Flowers, Paris"
love the contrast of the black outfit and the yellow/pink roses. it tells a story.
What an interesting face. Is he French. The tulpis make you look at his black outfit. Nice!
roses still in plastic wrap sticking out from a backpack. that is gonna be an inspiration for my shoot. genius!
simply sexy.
That layering all in black is quite interesting; he dresses like guys in film school do.
I like the role those roses play in such a tough and dramatic outfit: the fact that he is carrying them with such a serious expression makes me think of all the possible unobvious reasons for one to carry such a bouquet.
This is a very romantic shot... for many reasons.
I love the contrast between the bright-colored flowers and the overall dullness in the atmosphere.
i absolutely love it!
this guy is gorgeous!! J'adore sa coiffure!!
thats sexy
i love it!! i'm dying to know who the flowers are for..
this pic is stunning. I love the look on his face, his posture, the black clothes, the rainy streets-- all things melancholy -- and then subtle burst of colorful joy sneaking out of his bag-- oh this is winter!!!
Unreal. Simply unreal.
I don't really go for this type of look, but I think it achieves what it aims for really well. Skinny, short jeans, somewhat off kilter but nice hair, long jacket...it's all of a Joy Division piece.
Beautiful.
Love the hair very much - and the carelessness with which he carries the flowers.
Just where & how do you run into these people???? Visually very inspiring image and vibe captured here! Great!
sometimes it hurts when i smile
wow, first thought was that he reminds me of a very stylish grenouille ;)
Brilliant.
lovely contrast between his clothing and the flowers.
love the contrast, I wonder who they're for?
perfect. he must be a model, right?
LOVELOVELOVE.
So even the Ian Curtis wannabes of Paris buy their girlfriends flowers from the local garage?
those flowers really add a nice touch to the picture..well done!
Makes me wonder whom the flowers are for. Maybe he has a date? That's so cute...
I also like his jacket and shoes.
can bring those floers to me puh-lease!
beautiful.
what a remarkable photo. the roses providing the juxtaposed color focus brushed almost imperceptibly by that peek of argyle in his sock...what a face.
I like the bag a lot, does anyone know where to get it?
Dreamy....
first to comment!
:)
i love the whole like layout. his all black outfit with the yellow roses with the orange fringe tint. beautiful... i love his coat too!
All-black outfits are my favorite. From the cap to the backpack, to the shoes, all black!
Aw. Roses for me? He shouldn't have!
written out like a dream
those are my very favorite roses. why so glum??
Does every kid in Paris look like a model? Black accented by roses! I *think* I can do this look except that I can never fit in those new skinny jeans. I like the shoes too.
Oh, Sart! How this photo captures such a duality! With the head-to-toe black and that expression and yet the contrasting roses in the bag. I don't think you could have planned a more poignant photo. Bravo!
what a beautiful and intriguing shot. the flowers really pop in contrast to the all black ensemble. i wonder who's getting those flowers.
Very intriguing. I wonder who he bought the flowers for. I like how he seems to have stuffed them almost absentmindedly into his bag.
I love this photo! It's amazing how one captured moment can tell such a story. If I lived near one of your galleries I would buy this!
He must be a model. This shot looks like an Ad campaign for a fashio house, and wouldn't said fashion house be lucky to have such a photo as their campaign. Gorgeous Sart, your genius is starting to overflow.
Energie
this shot is ridiculously romantic; the slippery, dirty street and the stark light of the sky... not to mention that face which anchors it all.
it's more than enough to make a girl fall in love.
He's English, his name is Lee and he's a menswear student at Saint Martins
good to see the return of the classic ruck sack. But would it look as good weighing heavy on his back? Never a good look, right?
This shot, Sart, is beyond wonderful.
More people should buy flowers more often. It's very charming and it would make everyone that much happier.

Good gods, man; this is genius. Every time I look at your blog, I feel lucky that we have this opportunity to see your work, and through it, the opportunity to see so many amazing people and memorable scenes.
the roses make the shot!
The composition of this photo is breathtaking. The wall even compliments his hair, and the roses poking out are so charming. Truly one of my favourites.
This photograph is sublime.
This is the kind of guy who (possibly) got dressed in the morning, and didn't really have the intention of being "stylist", but still succeeded effortlessly. And the flowers...they definitely add.
ummm.
haircut: funny. youngsters can do that.
Black clothes: boring. Honestly.
Like my neighbor, the undertaker´s son....
Roses: maybe for his grandma.
In fact, I´m not that enthusiastic about this foto.
Another great find, great look and great shot. It so makes me want to go back to Paris! They pay so much more attention to all of the details of their fashion.
this is a beautiful picture. I think everyone above has nailed it dead on. the black, sleek silhouette, and the sorrow, suttle emotion on his face, is really contrasted with humour with the flowers out of his bag. This man looks like a model you would see on a Dior Homme runway.
Sart- this pic is perfect in every way. really.
As always, lovely photograph of a beautiful person with a flawless style. It is interesting, however, to see this posted on the same day as the NY Times article on on the new silhouette for male models. Hopefully this trend will not have the same devastating results for male models as the demand for frailty among female models has.
Great portrait. Love everything here. Very cool!
many kids in paris do look like models. combination of good taste and those genes. he looks like a french ian curtis.
wow. everything in this picture is sad and depressing except for the flowers. they're happy.
this could be a great start of a romance comedy. a depress guy looking for love. he bought a banquet of flowers in hope of finding love. he walked around the streets and search for the perfect girl....at the end of the day before the flower dies he accidently saved a beautiful swedish girl's life. he gave her the flower and she kissed him.
-the end-
This look makes me happy. After seeing "Control" I wondered why more boys in the U.S. didn't copy Ian Curtis's style. You really have to have a brooding, beautiful face like this boy to pull it off, though.
I really like the dark clothing with the use of multiple colors such as the flowers. It's an interesting concept to have flowers in the backpack. It shows that no matter how dark one can seem, they still have a heart and meaning on the inside.

Sart,
Your photography have opened up my eyes to those around me. Before I would just think 'Oh, love her look' now I look more closely to why I like it. Thanks for the inspiration.
this is a beautiful photograph.
This is perhaps one of my all time favourite pictures.
He is my idea of the cliched perfect French romantic.
This is a smart boy.And I love the contrast of the black outfit and the yellow/pink roses in their bag.But perhaps Its looking sad.
