I love the material on the coat. The texture and the color bounce off the color of the pants beautifully. I would have never thought to put the two together.
Great coat (the cut, the fabric, the making of it... vintage?), and great personal style.
I love the detail of fastening only one button on the sleeves, unfortunately one can rarely do this nowadays with off-the-rack garment, even with the very expensive ones.
cool attitude, but confused outfit tho. one more time, its easy to look nice if u look confident and comfortable. he does. (but those purple pants, for gods sake...lol)
Interesting.. still absorbing the image. but I like some of the things its suggesting, like that scarf!I want men to wear their scarves like that with vests and suits and outerwear and just about everything. I love it!! Its so gentlemanly and i wish I lived in a time where men wore their scarves like that.
I also really love the colors. (but purple pants a little bold for my taste)

frankly i would say i dun't really like the outfit soo much..
his abit sloppy...maybe that jacket, alittle too big..
but when comes to close up on the fabric detailing...damm that is one nice fabrics laa..

Grande Luca, I love the orchestrated texture flow, the brown donegal herringbone db coat is massive, but beautifully complimented by the accent color on the trouser and adding a touch of softness around the neck doesn't hurt. italianos..... what can i say?
Bracelet are amazing. An indigenous touch to a wildly sophisticated man.
Love the daring patterns and colours on this fellow! The coat seems ever so slightly too baggy, but he's got attitude so he's rocking it.
Luca needs to stop all kinds with this outfit. The concept of the non-black shoes with the pants is good...just not executed well, IMO.

That's some good, adventurous taste this gentleman has, and an extremely unusual coat, with its half-belt and operable sleeve buttons.
I would've preferred a less formal tying of the scarf-cum-ascot, and he really ought to button two more buttons on the coat; it ruins the silhouette, hanging open like that.
Still -- big points for verve!

while i admire this guys "devil may care" attitude, in all honesty i think his look is overblown, pushy and more than a bit ridiculous. i didn't say anythimg a while back, when you posted him in that crazy plaid suit. but just because clothes are extremely well made and expensive doesn't neccesarilly mean you should wear them. he's way too much all at once(and yet he doesn't wear a hat, go figure)
I love the colours of this outfit. The combination is strange but it just works.

I love it. The purple trouser are amazing with that jacket. I love how the sleeve on the jacket is left open, & the flair that it creates. That's 2 people now who have left the top buttons of their DB coats open. It looks really good on this jacket. Even the back of the jacket is amazing. Did you see him without the coat on? Losing the brown tweed of the jacket and replacing it with the blue of his sweater looks like it might throw the whole look off.

Lovely. I think this is a wonderful young urban sartorialist. Not tailored to an inch within his life, like he cannot breath, but a bit of fun, flow and color. I think it is wonderful.
Someone said something along the lines of you can wear this if you are 'confident,' are some folks out there still not confident with themselves?
WOW!i love the way he is playing wih the aphorism when you have a truly great coat it doesn't matter what you wear underneath, yet at the same time he bows to tradition - suede with tweed and the knot of the scarf. the colour of the pants are fantastic but may be too much by themelves. But the cut of that coat is to die for - menswear designers take note.

Nice ensemble, particularly great color--but the choice of buttoned coat button is a miscalculation.

Yikes, fashion flashback! I lived in Rome during the winter of 1983-4 when it was all about the vintage herringbone overcoat (but in black and white) for men and women. I owned two and saw hundreds, but none of them had the swagger and fit of this specimen, especially the tapering of the back waist. Those loose pleats are gorgeous.
I'm loving the purple pants with the brown tweed -- I always think of tertiary colors with earth tones as the Missoni palette -- but I think they'd look sort of inspid with the baby blue sweater.
I also appreciate that this handsome man is comfortable with his receding hairline and not trying to do something cute with it. It adds so much to the look of confidence.

Can we put aside for a moment the idea that an overcoat is "part of an outfit?" Granted, if you're a Rubinacci you may have your pick of a dozen coats each season, but too much thought about teaming your overcoat with what's under it (especially when it's casual wear as here) is going to send most of us into a fit of depression.
I LIKE that LR hasn't let the topcoat dictate what he's wearing beneath it. He's clearly a man who likes color in large doses. But this coat will be as handsome and classic over a dark suit, or with jeans and a cream or black turtleneck.
Like most city-dwellers, who don't have to be behind the wheel, I do have more than one coat(in the north we seem to need one for every ten degree change in temperature, and I may opt for brown over black, or tweed over leather because of what I'm wearing (though more likely because of what I'll be doing or where I'm going) So your trousers MIGHT help you choose the coat for the day - but don't let your coats dictate the color of your trousers!
P.S What I really meant to say last was, that there simply is too much of everything in this picture.
I'm normally a purist when it comes to judging mens fashion, but I just LOVE this for all its quirkiness: the insouciance of the coat, the scarf, the sweater, the bracelets, and I adore the magenta trousers! But what really pulls the look together is that he looks so comfortable and happy in it. It's the attitude that makes it work.
Could't agree more with Mr. Timore. Since the other posting, I thought this guy didn't have much to say. It is like a musician who knows the notes by heart, but when he plays there is no music, or no 'good' music. Everything sprouts at the same time. It doesn't work for me. One must say, however, that quality of the garnments is great.
He looks like a fun character out of some 70s movie. To me, these are one of the best pictures from the Pitty Party -so far!

I love the individual elements of his outfit, but they don't quite seem to come together for me. The coat is amazing, the colour of his trousers are amazing, especially those flecks of colour, the cut, yum, and the bracelets are a nice touch of whimsy. So prolly a half thumbs up. If that were possible.
Back looks great, sleeve looks great, but the front looks sloppy. Maybe it's just the way he was standing. Like the fabric and how it goes with the trousers. Like this much better than his peak lapel ensemble from a month ago.
Love that Luca! Especially the unbuttoned cuff to make it flare out just a wee bit...mmm! But slightly shocked he has no scarf!

I think this man pulled off a look that not many people could. He makes fashion suit his style, not the other way around. I would like to see more people willing to take these sorts of fashion risks because he looks great, but it isn't a look for everyone. It's all about the individuality.

What I love about Luca is his daring and his attention to detail. Magenta pants are a strong choice, but the way he wears them are interesting and he carries it with confidence. Also, I think a large part of what makes an outfit fashionable is attention to the smalled details, which, Scott, you obviously get per your photography. I wish we had a photograph without the coat on. I think that seeing the light blue sweater with white oxford underneath would help this outfit make more sense to people poo-pooing the pants.

sorry but i think the coat is too big. i don't know if it's the length or the sides. it just doesnt fit well in my opinion.
Those bracelets and that wonderful herringbone together is just lovely. Very inspiring, it's like he let a little soul peek through. It's all about details.
one of my favorites, ever! i appreciate the close-up to catch the red, green, and yellow bits in the coat fabric, to go along with the colors of the bracelets. this takes it to another dimension...and this 'fit wouldn't have looked better with any other color of pants!
