Waddayaknow, Pinocchio really did come to life after all!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:35 PM) :

great shot. I like his pose as well.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:36 PM) :

I love his outfit. Very chic and Milanese. And, by the way: I have exactly the same bag! I bought it in London two years ago next to Covent Garden.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:18 PM) :

nice peacoat, great pants...not sure about the bag though.

Blogger Elizabeth said ... (1:33 PM) :

He looks familiar, have we seen him before?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:42 PM) :

For some reason he reminds me of Arlo Guthrie in Alice's Restaurant.

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:35 PM) :

Ilike this men style

Blogger FSK said ... (2:41 PM) :

oh my gosh so ADORABLE! I'll take one to go please!

Blogger Mervis said ... (2:58 PM) :

love the scarf. does he look like he's trying too hard? or his smile just one of pride and thus dissuading me from loving him altogether?

also, i would like his satchel. thank you.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:02 PM) :

love how he buttoned up only one on the left side. cute.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:35 PM) :

Love, love, love the tailored deep colors you've been capturing in Italy.

Keep up with the plums, navys and rich blacks!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:46 PM) :

is that bag from Bottega Veneta?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:15 PM) :

Jaunty!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:42 PM) :

He is adorable and I love his effortless combination of colors. But his hat reminds me of the cartoon character from the 1930s, "koko the clown"!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:08 PM) :

I love the pea coat. Really a beautiful color. The look as a whole appears a bit too busy with the hat and the scarf and the hair and the collar, but nevertheless interesting.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:30 PM) :

Oh, look! It's Rocky!

Nice outfit though :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:51 PM) :

This is fantastic. I love it all.

Blogger Alex said ... (7:07 PM) :

That jacket is killa!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:56 PM) :

Oh my God! Can’t relieve it!!! I’m so so so happy!!! I lived last year for five months in Milano (which I looooooooved) and that’s the corner of my house!!!! In Via Alserio!! (That yellow building with balconies at the left hand of the picture...)
About the blog, I really like it, and now even more! But it would be good if you could travel a little more to different countries. For example, I’m from Argentina, and I’m sure you could find really good shots here…
Ciaoo!

Oh, by the way, in that zone there are some cool shops (I’m not referring to Corso Como, which of course is famous)Actually, don’t remember exactly where, but near Viale Zara there’s a vintige shop which is absolutely amazing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:34 PM) :

now this guy has a nice fitting pair of pants...not too tight and more comfy for sure.

I like his bag as well. I am wondering who made it?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:58 PM) :

This is not a pigeon posture-is this a duck one? Looking at this picture makes me smile.

Blogger B. Varughese said ... (12:02 AM) :

i like:

peacoat & scarf

bag

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:08 AM) :

Per carità!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:42 AM) :

Genius.

Blogger gabrielazeanadal@hotmail.com said ... (3:30 AM) :

Fun! I adore that kind of hat over that curly hair: it reminds me to Chico Marx.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:43 AM) :

anonymous @ 6.30... Oh, look! It's Rocky!

LOL!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:03 AM) :

this guy is really inspiring! scarf + pea coat = GREAT!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:30 AM) :

He reminds me of an elf.
His expression, the lovely hat and his stance just screams "I'm an elf" or "Yay! I'm a Real Boy" as someone pointed out earlier.

Blogger tamlee said ... (10:00 AM) :

i like his look, the pants fit perfectly. however...the nit-picky side of me wants to button the rest of his buttons!

Blogger The Vintagent said ... (10:42 AM) :

He clearly has a sense of humor about his style, but the hat also keeps his round head from looking like a pumpkin atop his very slim outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:56 PM) :

The coat is from H&M. I've got one a year ago..

Blogger mandala said ... (10:05 PM) :

is it an urban elf?

Blogger B. Varughese said ... (12:41 AM) :

i like that the top button is the only one buttoned

it makes the jacket look like it's floating away his body... sorta like a dress!

Blogger deborah said ... (6:20 AM) :

That is a nice dotted scarf and striped hat.

Blogger anthony said ... (10:22 AM) :

i need that scarf.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:08 PM) :

Standard Issue becomes interesting style:

Here and at Scott's men.style.com blog we're seeing a lot of "single buttoners", choosing either the top or bottom to close in an unusual way - why? Maybe because the coats themselves are "classics" (OK, some would say recycled dinosaurs). An iconoclastic buttoning is not quite "high personal expression"; so maybe it signals the challenge of looking like an individual without going over the edge to costume-y self-consciousness.

Again, questo uomo takes what may be an unexception if good quality dotted or foulard scarf and ruches it up above the coat collar to do something unexpected.

Maybe his budget means shop at H&M, but in his heart it's one-of-a-kind.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:28 AM) :

i hope he stands like that all the time, he looks cool!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:17 AM) :

Whoa! Love the shopper...is that Jas M.B???

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:41 AM) :

does nobody else see him as the italian marc bolan?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:42 PM) :

Love the Chico Marx hat!

Blogger hoi polloi said ... (1:47 PM) :

He looks like the guy I had a crush on last summer :( (sob)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:05 PM) :

he reminds me of an assistant salesman called Everton at Marni in Sloane Street, London
