Comments on "On the Street....Sodermalm, Stockholm"
I think this look rocks on this guy.
like a rolling stone...
Yep, he looks like Dylan, only...you know, better.
this is wonderful.
would look just as good on a female as well. little rolled up hems on skinny black pants look amazing paired with oxfords. i wore this look without socks in the fall, but with socks...they look just as great.
i know i'm probably going to be one of many who thinks he looks like a young bob dylan, but i can't post without it being said!
I have much affinity for this kind of look; sophisticated but in an arty sort of way.
it's bob dylan!
mmm yes so Dylan!
60s brit rocker. ;)
this is amazing
Young Bob Dylan
glad you see it too (:
a happily shocking blend of Bob & James. love it.
i LOVES him
Anybody else getting a Bob Dylan vibe? He's definitely rockin' the look though!
Blech!
is that Pat from Saturday Night Live?
Everything seems to be perfectly adjusted!
Lovely brown black match.
Cheers.
AboutFace
Great photo, Scott! Lovely turtleneck sweater. Great colous here. This chap definitely has a '60s look going on, and inadvertently or not he is clearly channeling the spirit of Ian McCulloch.
I am not sure why his trousers are so high. I find it really disturbing and I may even lose some sleep over it. Men today rarely seem to get the break right. Pants are either too long and engulf the shoe, or they are way too short, as in Thom Browne. This young man's trousers display a 'negative break'! WTF?!
The outfit, the hair, the face, the stance, it all screams Dylan. And I love it.
My thought exactly - a Swedish Bob Dylan.
mod styling in stockholm - I love his choice of brown shoes best of all!
They do can cut hair in Sweden, don´t they? Perfect waves in this square face or triangle form.
the way he wears his trousers is just perfectly right!
great color-combo!
Looks like a young Bob Dylan
Oh, this boy is perfect!
he looks somewhat like a young Dylan. I love the length of the pants and the color combo.
instantly reminded me of me back in the early 80's as a mod. very cool and the right attitude. how do i put this, i like the fact that he is not really conforming, not really rebelling, yet very cool. he seems to have found his comfortable niche.
jb
like a young bob dylan
he's a bit fey isn't he? the colors are divine
The small hips and shortened pant length are doing it for me.
His 'come-hither cat-grin' isn't too bad either.
robert zimmerman? the times they are a...
Oh my god, finally.
hello bob dylan. . .
nice dark dark brown shoes.
Whoah - more like Cate Blanchett's Bob Dylan.
It's so hard to pull off that "I know I'm saucy" expression without it seeming contrived. I guess he just really knows he's that saucy. The shiny oxfords and the mini-roll of the pant leg are especially charming.
A young Dylan/Tim Buckley. beautiful!
he looks like a young bob dylan.
love it.
oh my god ADORABLE!!!!
and to the girl at work who says you cant wear black with brown i say "ha".
or is that orange?
Looks like a young Bob Dylan. Cute :)
My thoughts exactly - young Bob Dylan.
Bob Dylan was my first thought too! The texture of the sweater, the matte jeans, and the well shined shoes add to the ensemble. He rocks.
Oh dear. A veritable Dylan.
mltt
Reminds me of Bob Dylan.
his sweater looks gorgeous.
i hope to run into him when im going to sweden only a month away!!
beautiful sweater...and yes, very bob dylan.
He looks like a street urchin from a Dickens novel. I think I might love this look. It works on him.
gorgeous, the boy and the pic.
yes! like a more feminine more Bob Dylan.
hot damn. this is perfect.
Gorgeous.
Love his shoes.
Cool photograph.
Cheers!
Until I enlarged the picture, I thought he was wearing boots. Love the subtle texture...and the hair.
I love this. The colour combination and sweater make me happy. Hahah.
Love it.
Flawless composition. How long did ti take, sart?
A.ny
what an androgynous bob dylan!
Roll on!
I do like the way he rolls ...
i want to meet this boy!
Kitty pretty much summed it up. It's Zimmy in the flesh.
totally cool
Dreamy!
This guy looks great...but, yes, as another reader asked, please share with us your critieria for publishing comments, so some of us don't put a lot of effort into writing something that will never see the light of day. I'm a professional writer, so it most likely isn't the grammar that's the problem, and I'm always polite. I'm beginning to get the feeling that you only want comments that are gushingly adulatory.
The shortness of the pants makes him look so sweet and innocent. So very 14 year old church boy. But I love it!
it's young wolverine! love the hair
He looks like a young Bob Dylan. I love it.
He looks like a young Bob Dylan. Great look! /B.
love the hair, the shoes and the silhouette...great pic ;)
gracias
...or Bob Dylan?
It really is a ghost of Christmas past, well if christmas was Bobo Dylan. I can't quite put my finger on why I like this chap and his ensemble but I sure do. I envy those legs.
Is he one of the actors in I'm Not There?
or like a young bob dylan. well, kind of the same as a rolling stone.
Young Dylan..
cate blanchett in "i'm not there" (which was fabulous).
androgyny is such a beautiful thing. bravo.
the look is cool, but this guy needs to eat a burger or something. soooo puny.
Bob Dylan much?
absolutely dreamy!
Where do you get all these genderless people?
Aw, sweet! (Has anyone anywhere ever been this young?)
Like the fact that he's gone into his skinny log legs with a short-cuffed-pants vengeance.
Shoes are right, too.
Reminds me of a young Bob Dylan.
You don't need to compare to the bland girl on the picture before this one to see this is special. I like everything about his look. He really stuffed his pocket though didn't he? Well, in Sweden you're almost seen as gay if you wear a bag as a man and it's not obvious that it's carrying your laptop.
its dylan!
bod dylan
its amazing that he can pull it off...
Cute!!!!!!
European men, authentic European men, tend to have this charm all over them... a very effortless charm that gives them a very cool regal vibe... I love this shot
Early Dylan... what a cool cat!
DIdn't notice the beaut colour of his jumper until I enlarged the pic.
Love what you find in Sthlm...
Beatnik!
Dylan perhaps?
kitty's nailed it. his Dylan look is fantastic, down to every last detail. He has to be intentionally emulating the beloved poet, right?
He doesn't look like a stone at all, more like Bob Dylan to me.
more like a young Bob. Hot.
Bob Dylan meets James Dean. Very nice!
wow the perfect jumper:)
Like a young Bob Dylan. Retro cool.
This look, from the haircut on down, would work on a man or a woman!
somebody's in love with bob dylan!
that's not a bad thing at all.
Hey Robert Zimmerman!
I thought only Thom Browne could pull off the too short pants, but he's doing it! Fantastic!
He does it so well. Who can make highwaters look that cool?
But...how is it he's not wearing a coat, in December, in Stockholm??
Very pretty boy with such a tailored, spot on fashion sense.
love the pants rolled up a tad
i love how his pants were obviously made to give the too short look so as to draw attention to his shoes.. which remind me of round black beetles.
guys in skinny pants still make me swoon. and with the little rolling cuffs, ruff ruff!
sleek!
lovely!
oddly festive?
we love you bob dylan
I can't help but think that this look would have been much more complete and elegant without the tired and pointless rolled-up trousers.
i want to dress like this today
(im a girlw short hair)
Very dylanesque, if you see what I mean, the hair cut, the skinny pants.
Love it, I don't see anybody like him here in L.A.
tim buckley meets steve bays!
he nailed that retro hipster vibe.
reminds me of bob dylan. his suze rotolo greenwich village days. awesome.
He looks a bit young, doesn't he? I often get this feeling of boys in men's clothes from your Stockholm pictures, wonder if I'm alone on that. Naturally he looks good, fashion-forward, but it's just that young boy thing that irks me slightly.
Energie
kid looks like frodo.
A young Bob Dylan. Beautiful.
holy bob dylan
good to see bob dylan is alive and well.
Minimalism done well. Love the Bob Dylan hair.
absolutely love it
Very Cate Blanchett in I'm Not There.
Splendid young Dylanesque look. The Q-cards are behind his back?
Nice framing and lines on this one, and the one below.
/F
like bob dylan
Bob Dylan-ish!
it's a he or she anyway?
Oh, I knew a guy in Paris that was really similar looking!
Straight out of the sixties! Wonderful.
perfect
he's strange and fascinating in his interaction with the camera, his clothes, his vibe, his essence. very intriguing young fellow.
the young bob dylan!
more like bob the dylan...
...Dylan vive!!!
APC .
APC in Stockholm.
What a coincidence that the APC store in Stockholm is located in Sodermalm.
Paging a young Bob Dylan!
He´s not that young, he´s like twentytwo-twentythree something.
(yes, I know him. Nice lad!)
Yes, it is true: on this site, only gushingly comments are generally welcome.
If you have something critical, though polite, to say, it won't be published as has happened to me many times.
It is the site owner's right to censor comments but you don't get a true representation of what peoples' views are....
most beautiful person in the world...
what you've captured here makes me want to go to stockholm.
i love how he cuffs the pants to that length to reveal the socks slightly and so you can see all of his cute shoes. i've seen this length of cuffing of the pants done before, and it was not very flattering to the wearers. he looks great through. the building colors in the background go wonderful with him. the outfit seems very casual, but this guy just exudes a certain attitude... makes him quite the striking fellow. i especially love the expression on his face. how could someone not stop and take another look at this guy?
HOW OLD IS HE?!
Are they inspired by the artists work, or do they just copy the look ?
He reminds me a friend of mine, whose standing fashion advice to me is, "don't get out of bed if not to look like a rock star." I love the style on the men and the shot.
You know who I think he looks like that hasn't been mentioned by anyone yet? Bob Dylan.
All this is missing is some snow on the street, a jacket on him, and me in a belted coat and boots holding onto his arm.
Freewheelin'!
stunning simplicity
great jeans fit, im not a fan of tight jeans on men. and the sweater is amazing. but the shoes really make this lad stand out!
he looks like bob dylan.
wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!classic.
I'm not sure how many times 'perfect' has been used here, but yeah, this is perfection!
Wow! This had an impact on me. I love it so much and i don't know exactly why. wow.
i love it. beautiful sweater. i love his face/hair, shoes/trousers/stance as well.
i love your photos from Europe...SOOOO much more than your uptown NY ones.
Totally cool and edgy.
Looks like a young Marc Bolan :D
I really adore his style! love the popping blended colors of the turtleneck... and especially the rolled-up cuffs to his pants to show off the socks. really confident, yet low-key, my favorite type of style. :)
"Portrait of Mr. Bean as a Young Man"
I would just like to add to the 150+ comments to say that I love him! This is one of my favorite outfits I've seen, and I just want to give him a big kiss! :)
"I'm not there..."
those swedes are just fantastic at rocking the youthful beatnik in cuffed trousers look. he does quirky with such confidence and cheekiness that you just KNOW he was born impeccably stylish.
I like this artsy look even though it's quite popular to dress a bit rougher in stockholm, guess being a brat is all to much work in the end.
This is a basic outfit which would fit most people just as long as they know they're hot. If the clothes are basic you need an attitude to make them wow others. But I think you should get out of stockholm and pop in to other big cities sometime. Sweden rocks, not just stockholm
He's beautiful!
flawless and untouchable.
I wonder if he is single.
This guy is captivating.
Nicely shot.
Love the shoes and the hair. The shoes especiallly are a nice touch.
Quirky proportion. Excellent colour (especially hair). Charming details (rolled trouser leg).
so lovely.
Very Bob Dylan, and very unisex.
These Stockholm guys are quite trendy, no?
wow, so cute!
i have to say i've come to despise a short break on tight pants (i don't really care to see the color of your socks or the tops of your shoes, or exaggerate your height), but love it on slightly loose pants. swish!
I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, be he reminds me of someone. I think it is Bob Dylan
He looks like the so-called "creep" in Truffaut's film Domicile conjugal (Bed and Board). I mean that both in his hairstyle and manner of dress (esp. the shade of his turtleneck) and that he has his hands clasped behind his back. Weird.
Love the rolled pants.. so ralph lauren.. the sweater eeee great look but, does not fit his body well.. I hate bunchy on top/slim on the bottom.. not proportional.
Hm.. He reminds me of someone. Maybe it's the famous Mata-mata, here in Norway. But I think it's Dylan.
I just love this look on him! Very old rock feeling.
By far my favourite of all sartorialist's shots
Most of you say he looks like Dylan, but I agree with the person that said he looks like Cate Blanchett's 'Dylan'.
IMO, he looks more like Tim Buckley, minus the 'fro.
http://www.ulivoselvatico.org/stilelib/buckley1.jpg
oh i love this. the highwaters somehow make the entire look artsy, beatnik if you will. everybody's metionned his resemblance to dylan, but i also see young mark bolan, mostly due to his lovely haircut.
This one looks like a young Bob Dylan!
He looks like a bootlegged Bob Dylan Album. Old and tested and true, yet relevant wanted and unmistakably himself.
