I think this look rocks on this guy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:51 AM) :

like a rolling stone...

Blogger Carlene said ... (11:01 AM) :

Yep, he looks like Dylan, only...you know, better.

Blogger tamlee said ... (11:05 AM) :

this is wonderful.

would look just as good on a female as well. little rolled up hems on skinny black pants look amazing paired with oxfords. i wore this look without socks in the fall, but with socks...they look just as great.

i know i'm probably going to be one of many who thinks he looks like a young bob dylan, but i can't post without it being said!

Blogger MensFlair said ... (11:06 AM) :

I have much affinity for this kind of look; sophisticated but in an arty sort of way.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:07 AM) :

it's bob dylan!

Blogger FreshSamantha said ... (11:13 AM) :

mmm yes so Dylan!

a happily shocking blend of Bob & James. love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:27 AM) :

i LOVES him

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:29 AM) :

Anybody else getting a Bob Dylan vibe? He's definitely rockin' the look though!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:32 AM) :

Blech!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:43 AM) :

Lovely brown black match.

Blogger Laguna Beach Fogey said ... (11:46 AM) :

Great photo, Scott! Lovely turtleneck sweater. Great colous here. This chap definitely has a '60s look going on, and inadvertently or not he is clearly channeling the spirit of Ian McCulloch.

I am not sure why his trousers are so high. I find it really disturbing and I may even lose some sleep over it. Men today rarely seem to get the break right. Pants are either too long and engulf the shoe, or they are way too short, as in Thom Browne. This young man's trousers display a 'negative break'! WTF?!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:06 PM) :

The outfit, the hair, the face, the stance, it all screams Dylan. And I love it.

Blogger Thomas said ... (12:07 PM) :

My thought exactly - a Swedish Bob Dylan.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:09 PM) :

mod styling in stockholm - I love his choice of brown shoes best of all!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:12 PM) :

They do can cut hair in Sweden, don´t they? Perfect waves in this square face or triangle form.

Blogger LYNN and HORST said ... (12:13 PM) :

the way he wears his trousers is just perfectly right!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:20 PM) :

Looks like a young Bob Dylan

Blogger Nor said ... (12:24 PM) :

Oh, this boy is perfect!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:26 PM) :

he looks somewhat like a young Dylan. I love the length of the pants and the color combo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:36 PM) :

instantly reminded me of me back in the early 80's as a mod. very cool and the right attitude. how do i put this, i like the fact that he is not really conforming, not really rebelling, yet very cool. he seems to have found his comfortable niche.

he's a bit fey isn't he? the colors are divine

Blogger stacy said ... (1:01 PM) :

The small hips and shortened pant length are doing it for me.

His 'come-hither cat-grin' isn't too bad either.

Oh my god, finally.

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:06 PM) :

hello bob dylan. . .

Blogger wear palettes said ... (1:10 PM) :

nice dark dark brown shoes.

Blogger kale daikon said ... (1:16 PM) :

Whoah - more like Cate Blanchett's Bob Dylan.

It's so hard to pull off that "I know I'm saucy" expression without it seeming contrived. I guess he just really knows he's that saucy. The shiny oxfords and the mini-roll of the pant leg are especially charming.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:26 PM) :

A young Dylan/Tim Buckley. beautiful!

Blogger amy said ... (1:34 PM) :

he looks like a young bob dylan.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:44 PM) :

My thoughts exactly - young Bob Dylan.

Blogger Mitchell Weiss said ... (1:45 PM) :

Bob Dylan was my first thought too! The texture of the sweater, the matte jeans, and the well shined shoes add to the ensemble. He rocks.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:51 PM) :

Oh dear. A veritable Dylan.

Blogger rosemary x said ... (3:35 PM) :

Kitty pretty much summed it up. It's Zimmy in the flesh.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:56 PM) :

totally cool

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:57 PM) :

Dreamy!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:58 PM) :

This guy looks great...but, yes, as another reader asked, please share with us your critieria for publishing comments, so some of us don't put a lot of effort into writing something that will never see the light of day. I'm a professional writer, so it most likely isn't the grammar that's the problem, and I'm always polite. I'm beginning to get the feeling that you only want comments that are gushingly adulatory.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:59 PM) :

The shortness of the pants makes him look so sweet and innocent. So very 14 year old church boy. But I love it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:08 PM) :

it's young wolverine! love the hair

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:27 PM) :

He looks like a young Bob Dylan. I love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:32 PM) :

...or Bob Dylan?

Blogger Style Salvage Steve said ... (4:38 PM) :

It really is a ghost of Christmas past, well if christmas was Bobo Dylan. I can't quite put my finger on why I like this chap and his ensemble but I sure do. I envy those legs.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:40 PM) :

Is he one of the actors in I'm Not There?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:42 PM) :

or like a young bob dylan. well, kind of the same as a rolling stone.

Blogger Jocke said ... (4:57 PM) :

Young Dylan..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:00 PM) :

cate blanchett in "i'm not there" (which was fabulous).
androgyny is such a beautiful thing. bravo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:17 PM) :

the look is cool, but this guy needs to eat a burger or something. soooo puny.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:28 PM) :

Bob Dylan much?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:29 PM) :

absolutely dreamy!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:29 PM) :

Where do you get all these genderless people?

Blogger Butch said ... (5:38 PM) :

Aw, sweet! (Has anyone anywhere ever been this young?)

Like the fact that he's gone into his skinny log legs with a short-cuffed-pants vengeance.

Shoes are right, too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:39 PM) :

Reminds me of a young Bob Dylan.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:41 PM) :

You don't need to compare to the bland girl on the picture before this one to see this is special. I like everything about his look. He really stuffed his pocket though didn't he? Well, in Sweden you're almost seen as gay if you wear a bag as a man and it's not obvious that it's carrying your laptop.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:59 PM) :

its dylan!

Blogger João M said ... (6:00 PM) :

bod dylan

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:00 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:04 PM) :

Cute!!!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:23 PM) :

European men, authentic European men, tend to have this charm all over them... a very effortless charm that gives them a very cool regal vibe... I love this shot

Blogger DeepBlueSea said ... (6:23 PM) :

Early Dylan... what a cool cat!
DIdn't notice the beaut colour of his jumper until I enlarged the pic.

Love what you find in Sthlm...

Blogger MARIA H said ... (6:35 PM) :

Beatnik!

Dylan perhaps?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:39 PM) :

kitty's nailed it. his Dylan look is fantastic, down to every last detail. He has to be intentionally emulating the beloved poet, right?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:58 PM) :

He doesn't look like a stone at all, more like Bob Dylan to me.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:06 PM) :

more like a young Bob. Hot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:08 PM) :

Bob Dylan meets James Dean. Very nice!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:18 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:43 PM) :

Like a young Bob Dylan. Retro cool.

Blogger The Spicers said ... (7:46 PM) :

This look, from the haircut on down, would work on a man or a woman!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:53 PM) :

somebody's in love with bob dylan!
that's not a bad thing at all.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:13 PM) :

Hey Robert Zimmerman!

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:15 PM) :

I thought only Thom Browne could pull off the too short pants, but he's doing it! Fantastic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:44 PM) :

He does it so well. Who can make highwaters look that cool?

But...how is it he's not wearing a coat, in December, in Stockholm??

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:04 PM) :

Very pretty boy with such a tailored, spot on fashion sense.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:30 PM) :

love the pants rolled up a tad

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:36 PM) :

i love how his pants were obviously made to give the too short look so as to draw attention to his shoes.. which remind me of round black beetles.

Blogger we could grow up 2gether said ... (9:48 PM) :

guys in skinny pants still make me swoon. and with the little rolling cuffs, ruff ruff!

Blogger christinaooi said ... (9:50 PM) :

lovely!

oddly festive?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:32 PM) :

we love you bob dylan

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:31 PM) :

I can't help but think that this look would have been much more complete and elegant without the tired and pointless rolled-up trousers.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:38 PM) :

i want to dress like this today
(im a girlw short hair)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:55 PM) :

Very dylanesque, if you see what I mean, the hair cut, the skinny pants.
Love it, I don't see anybody like him here in L.A.

Blogger ellastica said ... (12:11 AM) :

tim buckley meets steve bays!

he nailed that retro hipster vibe.

Blogger Lina Sien said ... (12:59 AM) :

reminds me of bob dylan. his suze rotolo greenwich village days. awesome.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:52 AM) :

He looks a bit young, doesn't he? I often get this feeling of boys in men's clothes from your Stockholm pictures, wonder if I'm alone on that. Naturally he looks good, fashion-forward, but it's just that young boy thing that irks me slightly.

Energie

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:25 AM) :

Paging a young Bob Dylan!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:57 AM) :

He´s not that young, he´s like twentytwo-twentythree something.

Yes, it is true: on this site, only gushingly comments are generally welcome.

If you have something critical, though polite, to say, it won't be published as has happened to me many times.

It is the site owner's right to censor comments but you don't get a true representation of what peoples' views are....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:24 AM) :

most beautiful person in the world...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:17 PM) :

what you've captured here makes me want to go to stockholm.

i love how he cuffs the pants to that length to reveal the socks slightly and so you can see all of his cute shoes. i've seen this length of cuffing of the pants done before, and it was not very flattering to the wearers. he looks great through. the building colors in the background go wonderful with him. the outfit seems very casual, but this guy just exudes a certain attitude... makes him quite the striking fellow. i especially love the expression on his face. how could someone not stop and take another look at this guy?

HOW OLD IS HE?!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:48 PM) :

Are they inspired by the artists work, or do they just copy the look ?

Blogger a/c said ... (4:19 PM) :

He reminds me a friend of mine, whose standing fashion advice to me is, "don't get out of bed if not to look like a rock star." I love the style on the men and the shot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:44 PM) :

You know who I think he looks like that hasn't been mentioned by anyone yet? Bob Dylan.

Blogger Alysa said ... (5:00 PM) :

All this is missing is some snow on the street, a jacket on him, and me in a belted coat and boots holding onto his arm.

Freewheelin'!

Blogger Samantha said ... (5:27 PM) :

stunning simplicity

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:17 PM) :

Blogger sunni said ... (7:55 AM) :

those swedes are just fantastic at rocking the youthful beatnik in cuffed trousers look. he does quirky with such confidence and cheekiness that you just KNOW he was born impeccably stylish.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:29 AM) :

I like this artsy look even though it's quite popular to dress a bit rougher in stockholm, guess being a brat is all to much work in the end.
This is a basic outfit which would fit most people just as long as they know they're hot. If the clothes are basic you need an attitude to make them wow others. But I think you should get out of stockholm and pop in to other big cities sometime. Sweden rocks, not just stockholm

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:30 PM) :

He's beautiful!

Very Bob Dylan, and very unisex.

These Stockholm guys are quite trendy, no?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:04 AM) :

wow, so cute!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:52 PM) :

i have to say i've come to despise a short break on tight pants (i don't really care to see the color of your socks or the tops of your shoes, or exaggerate your height), but love it on slightly loose pants. swish!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:16 PM) :

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, be he reminds me of someone. I think it is Bob Dylan

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:20 PM) :

He looks like the so-called "creep" in Truffaut's film Domicile conjugal (Bed and Board). I mean that both in his hairstyle and manner of dress (esp. the shade of his turtleneck) and that he has his hands clasped behind his back. Weird.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:57 PM) :

Love the rolled pants.. so ralph lauren.. the sweater eeee great look but, does not fit his body well.. I hate bunchy on top/slim on the bottom.. not proportional.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:39 AM) :

Hm.. He reminds me of someone. Maybe it's the famous Mata-mata, here in Norway. But I think it's Dylan.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:12 PM) :

I just love this look on him! Very old rock feeling.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:27 PM) :

By far my favourite of all sartorialist's shots

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:01 AM) :

Most of you say he looks like Dylan, but I agree with the person that said he looks like Cate Blanchett's 'Dylan'.

IMO, he looks more like Tim Buckley, minus the 'fro.
