Comments on "Postcard From Paris p1"
those socks again. they're starting to grow on me, so much that i bought socks and have been trying them on in front of my mirror, with some Joan and David 2 1/2 heel laced brown richelieu shoes. tempting, go out dressed this way or not? that is the question.
Oh how I wish I were there.
They have very unique and beautiful style! Great photos!
i love it! The top girl has been on your blog before, non? besides from the white stripe on the top girls tights, it is simply magnificent!
The over the knee socks have been popular on and off for many years but you'd better have thin thighs like this young lady has. She looks great!
Downtown meets Paris...looks as if Paris women are becoming happily less conservative, or is it just the ones you're picking out?
The second lady is divine. Stunning head to toe....and the turquoise pops Caribbean ocean on a grey Parisian day...
Lovely.
hey! i loved the top girl the last time you posted here here.
Love the second look.
It's one off, but she's workin' it.
the over-the-knee socks: to wear or not to wear? they're so tempting. it's a question i've been asking myself, too... have bought a pair but do not know if this trend is for any one other than cute, young celebrities and models with thin thighs.
Oh wow. the second lady inspires me greatly!!!
The first image reminds me to remind everyone to see BLADE RUNNER at the Ziegfeld Theater, while it lasts....
Stunning shots. That is how tourists should take their pictures there, not cheesily grinning, but giving a cool stare into the camera. The second look is stunning.
Wow, somebody really needs to step away from the makeup counter! I love the second girl's look. She is working those over-the-knee socks perfectly.
Cigalechanta, I learned how to knit tall socks just so that I could have some that fit my thighs! It took me months to finish a pair, but it is truly a pleasure to wear something customized for me, and the compliments are abundant when I walk around my city in them.
Both photos are fabulous.
I miss the leopard print tights the top girl had on before!
Love the socks in the second photo. She looks like a colt with leg warmers on. Very beautiful.
oh my god, pooor girls:(
Why! must you look like a rag doll....
I really like the way the first girl has used that netted top over something semi-sheer to make it all more subtle.
And the second girl? She nailed this look in an original way that is just right for her -- and makes it seem effortless. Arden Wohl tries for this, but somehow always looks like she tried too hard.
The Girl down is just crazy !
I love her socks and shoes !
Bravo Parisiennes & Parisiens !
New Look is not Dead !
I like girl2 better. The greys on the socks and pavement and the background fit so well together.
I like the way the first girl is playing with colour and how she tones down the turquoise bangles with her (fantastic) net top - as Sarto would say, "just dramatic enough for day". Also her hair is like a wavy ray of sunshine on a rainy day. :D
The second girl's headband/cap is inspired and I personally love the overhanging style of her dress. Definitely a kind of Parisian boho-chic.
Serious!
I have found it easier to wear the over the knee socks layered over tights...or under boots. Opening myself up for fashion criticism? Girl number one is so pretty but for her makeup-too much.
Ohh... love the headband :)
I love the second girl's look! She so stylish!
the contrast between the last women's dress, and her necklace is fantastic. I love the bright bold turquoise on her necklace.
omigosh. these photos are wonderful.
the light, the shot.
everything.
paris feels like these images, so do airports.
the outfits, okay the outfits, but the LIGHT, the colors. it's breathtaking.
i love how the second girl looks so orginal without looking too accessorized, or out of place in the weather. i love her style, mainly because it reflects mine better than any picture i have seen on here. plus, she doesn't look too expensively dressed, it's natural.

second pic: oddball pyjama goodness...
It's English girl again! Love her shawl, and her hair still looks fab.
Here she is again with her unique style! I salute her confidence and sense of personal style.. The same goes to the second girl, I like her dress, or are they shorts..?
I think they're both a bit overdone, but I love the setting.
Everyone's saying 'parisiens' this 'parisiens' that but the 1st girl is english! you do all realise that in huge international cities such as Paris, London & N.Y that a huge huge huge portion of residents are foreign! It's ridiculous to assume - especially pics taken during fashion week b/c most of the time they're foreigners.
Hi, roots. Please go away now.
Second image- brilliance, radiance, i want it etc.
Over the knee socks just need to have a proper fit, not really thin thighs. Just as long as they don't cut into your thighs, they actually look good. I know this for a fact because I used to have a pair that I couldn't use and when I wore the garter out a bit it didn't cut into my...rather healthy thighs anymore and it looks much better. Hahaha.
not sure about the shoes on girl 2 - love the rest. . .
The first picture is fantastic... She looks radiant.
Mmmm, mmmm! Those socks are delicious.
I loved the top girl last time and I think I love her even more this time
yeah, does that girl stalk you? oh dear, she's lovely...
#1 = tweetybird goes to paris
I crave the second girl's figure, my socks fall down.
love the secondone
the dress drapes so beautifully.
best picture ever.
First photo is just not my style. But next.. i love that kind of socks.
The girls are definetly English( I can confirm). As design students on their one and only trip abroad on their course it's the stage for them to boast their design talents through their personal style. Luckily for them the main man was about.
