Comments on "On the Street....Hamish Bowles, A Sartorialist All-Star"
The pocket square is very exuberant. I like the purple/pink colours he's working with too. Wonder how many times he had to 'casually' tuck in the pocket square to get it looking so fabulous. (No matter how many times, however, it was worth it.)
He gives a nice touch to whatever he wears. He always looks great in photos. I love that he can still get away with the old Flip haircut, too, after all this time.
I meant "flop" haircut, not "flip."
He is definitely one of the natty dressers -- always polished and smart; a little flair without going over board.
All-star, indeed! Even where I live in the Midwest, I am pleased to see men following the good example of Mr. Bowles and wearing purple and lavender more. It is so flattering on many, many people.
I really don't understand why this is interesting. His suit is rtw and it looks like he never even bothered to have the pants taken up. It's all much too loud, too, for him to be well dressed. I guess he's going for the fop look, but he's not even doing that very well.
More than his pocket square or his suit, I love his name - Hamish Bowles... That's truly Sartorial
Mr. Bowles, no matter how exuberantly attired, is always indisputably British in dress.
Now, can someone please say more about the shoes, which look wonderful, but are hard to see as fully as one would like?
That's what I call an "exploding" pocket square. What was it Flusser said? Conspicuous pocket adornment attracts from the overall? Well, he pulls it off, especially with the shirt wide check. The shoes ... not my cup of tea.
love the puma canvas slip ons. Too bad they're so dirty, though.
Hamish Bowles has a style that is wonderful and all his own but there is something almost eighties in this look, redolent of baronial luxury, the paisley, the silk, the hide slippers. his casual haircut keeps it modern and un-stuffy. It's great, I love it!
Timeless and elegant, with such a sense of fun!
And bravo on the haircut ... finding someone who can give a haircut that doesn't look like you've just had your hair cut is so difficult!
Very stylish but I think this man could really benefit from the "always remove one accessorary before you leave the house" rule.
Is it me or does Mr. Bowles look like an over-the-top floppy clown? The shoes are out of place and the pocket square is too much.
haha i love that guy.
although i'm surprised such a prim gentleman like him would have his pants so long
This guy has a feminine way of posing, not that it matters. I´d suggest a haircut and a change of shoes.
I love this look, All-Star all the way and he never disappoints. What everyone has missed is how beautiful that suit is. And then he pairs it with a great shirt, tie and pocket-square and he's looking good. But then, just to cap it, just to show thatb he is an individual with more style in his pinky than all of us combined, he throws in those shoes! Talk about looking sublime without taking yourself too seriously! Brilliant. And I am one person who always thought the suit and sneakers look was a bad idea, this is the one exception. Bravo Hamish.

I love the pocket square, the shoes leave me cold. Love the overall feel though, dandy in a modern fresh way.
He's so cute! Reminds me of Doctor Who - funky and youthful without looking bad.
The pocket square is superb; worm with real panache; can we have some more pictures of this gentleman please?
Gorgeous! He has a perfect stance & excellent cut. Love the attitude.
