You remind me of Dickie Greenleaf, Sart!

great pictures, and great to see you at work.

keep it up!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:30 PM) :

I've always wondered what you say to people when you take their photo...do you tell them it's for your blog. I'd also love to know how often people don't want you to photograph them. Really enjoyed the video.

Blogger Lisa said ... (9:40 PM) :

Congrats, Sart! I enjoyed watching your "method" of capturing glimpses of everyday people in their sartorial habitats. =)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:52 PM) :

btw, what kind of camera were you using there?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:13 PM) :

My friend and I watched the clip in a coffeeshop instead of doing homework and loved how we were able to go "behind the scenes!" We love looking at your posts and get inspiration from it (which is sometimes hard on a midwest college campus -- well I guess the midwest in general).

p.s. your hair does look great.
p.p.s. you should do a college edition post!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:56 PM) :

holy crap, you were on the national news! that's awesome! congrats, truly. :-)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:09 AM) :

Great segment! I always did wonder how things went down on the street...average people with above average style, or above average people with conservative style...at turns guarded, amused and, hopefully, flattered. You have a dream "job" -- not many can say the same. Keep up the terrific work.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:15 AM) :

loved it.
who wouldn't want to watch a behind the scenes with bruce webber.

an absolute pleasure to watch that.

Oh, really enjoyed that webcast! I mean... I've been wondering how you'd approach people and how they'd react... Because usually what we see here is the "polished" endproduct. It's nice to see that some concious giggling was before that. Very down to earth.
Also, it was fun to see you. I only know this blog, so had no idea.
And yeah, Dickie Greenleaf indeed comes to mind!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:43 AM) :

It occurs to me, for the first time, that you should show us what you think are your "Photo Rejects"

You know, those folks that you shoot but then second guess once you get back to your 'puter or compare them against your shots of the day.

You would likely find that we think differently.

Of course, you don't need to title it "Reject" but something like "Second Guessing"

Dunno.

Did like the news segment. That was Brokaw? Rather? Darn, I need a TV.

And when did this air? You took the pic of that girl a while back.

mltt

Blogger chat said ... (10:10 AM) :

I think a big thing about what you do is that you make people smile, and that shines through the photos. I would imagine someone having a crappy day and you telling them you want to take their picture, and this would probably cheer them up! Congrats on the video!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:13 AM) :

Sart, I just saw the ABC video. You're soooo cute-- loving the hair! Didn't realize how hard a job it is to spot stylish people and even run after them! I admire your guts and spunk. ;) Luuuv your blog!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:38 AM) :

thank you so much for posting the link to your ABC special. i look at this site everyday, and it's so nice to finally hear you comment on the work you do, and to see you in action. things really seem to be taking off for you lately; i wish you continued success!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:42 PM) :

Would love to see more "behind the scenes," I wish that segment was longer!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:55 PM) :

Congrats! You'll soon be so popular and in demand that you won't have time for this blog anymore. I hope that doesn't happen. You deserve every success you've received. Loved seeing how you actually get the pictures!

Blogger Murphy Malone said ... (1:35 PM) :

Charles Gibson looks perturbed that he had to introduce that segment...

good work Sart! You should do an L.A. post!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:43 PM) :

Gorgeous man, gorgeous outfit, gorgeous picture.

Blogger porchmouse said ... (2:58 PM) :

way to go sart! it was fun to watch you run around doing what you do best!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:24 PM) :

Loved the interview. Too bad it didn't go on longer.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:27 PM) :

Thanks for posting the vid, as an international fan without access to ABC, I never would have caught it otherwise.

Great little segment! Very interesting to see the action. And what a fantastic way to keep fit.

A couple of posters mentioned a Sartorialist college edition and reality show...both good calls...especially the show...the action, the trials and tribulations, the travel and balancing family life. The Jamie Oliver of style! I'd be tuning in religiously.

Blogger Elizabeth said ... (5:12 PM) :

I'd throw it ALL away for that man at the top.

*sigh*

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:15 PM) :

Blogger Brian and Beth Jones said ... (8:52 PM) :

It was great to watch you in action. Live. What you do is very inspiring! I love it.

Blogger Françoise said ... (9:15 PM) :

I had to go and look at the video on the ABC News site. That was great! Too short! Scott, you look different on TV than on your pics. You are handsome. It takes guts to go and ask these people to take a pic of them!I was back in my hometown (Paris) 2 weeks ago. I saw a girl who was wearing fantastic-looking patent leather tall, flat boots. Could not resolve myself to ask her where she got them. So I love to see that you're just going for it!

Blogger Calenna said ... (2:21 AM) :

Wow, Sart - you look WAY younger in that video than you do in your Bio page. What a fun abc segment! It was very cool to see you in action. How did ABC contact you about it? Keep it up - I love it!

Blogger Charlé said ... (5:51 AM) :

That webcast was just delightful. I wouldn't mind seeing more video footage up.

p.s. Your hair is a dream.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:14 AM) :

Great clip! Congrats. I hope one day you just stop me on the street and take a photo... that would be a huge compliment : ) Meanwhile, keep up the good work, I love your blog, it inspires me.

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:16 PM) :

bravo! you need an entire documentary!

Blogger Secret Agent said ... (9:03 PM) :

Man, these two are my favorites...especially the guy. Not only is his outfit smashing, but the photography... it's awesome.

Blogger Scott W said ... (11:45 PM) :

You do your job beautifully. Thanks for being of such service.

Now, the gentleman above has the look I like. Very nice all around.

Blogger Paul Pincus said ... (1:08 AM) :

That was fun watching you work! Fantastic shot of the gentleman. I've always thought there was nothing more sexy than a beat-up pair of brogues. He does beat-up brogues well.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:52 AM) :

I LOVE YOU! You're cool.
