Can someone be so kind as to tell me who this woman is? I have seen her all over the place.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:26 PM) :

editor in chief of vogue italia,
i think?
beautiful shot,
the setting, the colours, so perfect

I love the hint of high fashion. I find everyone's taking Prada's runway show too literally and wearing the prada shoes with the prada dress with the prada socks, etc, because they don't really know how to put themselves together. She looks like someone who doesn't chase trends but rather takes what she loves from the season and incorperates it into her own innate sense of style. bravo!

I love the hint of high fashion. Although this season Prada's collection was stunning, I find people have just been wearing the Prada dress with the Prada shoes and the Prada socks, etc. This woman doesn't seem like someone who chases trends but rather can take something like the beautiful ombre skirt and incorperate it into her own elegant sense of style. Bravo!

Needs a longer jacket but the texture on the dress' hem is a wonder!

mltt

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:45 PM) :

The jacket length and skirt detailing make her look fresh and approachable, totally at ease.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:47 PM) :

Does this woman ever have a bad fasion day? She is the picture of fall and the colours are simply divine!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:09 PM) :

Franca Sozzani is the single most brilliant and innovative magazine (Vogue Italia, L'Uomo Vogue, etc) editor in the world today (Sorry Ms. Wintour). She is smart, nice, classy, friendly, innovative, professional, loyal, responsible and chic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:13 PM) :

Am I the only on who things that skirt and coat have a horrible drape?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:33 PM) :

Is her skirt from the same people as the Jacket of the lady on the right in 'On The Street......Via Della Spiga, Milan' (an earlier post)? They are very similar in concept - both lovely!

Does anyone know who makes them?

Apart from that, I'm not a fan of her hair, but I do like the longer sleeves over her wrists, under the coat.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:48 PM) :

I too had no idea who she might be,but if she is in the fashion business, she is keeping a very low profile.Don´t like the color of the coat but would like to see the dress underneath.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:48 PM) :

good to see her out of ballerina flats for once..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:49 PM) :

Very understated and sophisticated. I would love to see the rest of that dress!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:45 PM) :

I agree, lee d!

Whoever said this collection was unwearable or only for fashion victims, here's a big "screw you" from Ms. Sozzani!

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:52 AM) :

Camel is the dominant hue tying it all together. A very rich look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:02 AM) :

See?

These are not pixel wasted! Francesca speaks volumes (without them having to be J. Crew's catalogues).

Anna Piaggi, on the contrary, is like a three-hour long trombone solo. Lovely if you are a trombone enthusiast, but a lot of noise to the rest of us.

Blogger Stratos Bacalis said ... (5:03 AM) :

Franca in color, wow! Great ensemble.

Blogger be-fabulous said ... (5:19 AM) :

Such a great photography!! Thank you again for your interview during the Paris fashion week who allowed us to understand some and to know some a little more about you and your work. Thank you very much again that was a real pleasure!!!!
Can be with another time and thank you for your work.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:48 AM) :

A very fresh an personal look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:04 AM) :

i had the great pleasure to work with franca when sh ewas at Lei !

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:37 PM) :

Just curious, but why all the women in substantial winter coats with no pantyhose? I guess it's either black or bare these days, but as a matter of warmth and practicality, they're not all that bad.

Blogger Susan B said ... (3:24 PM) :

Love this "at ease" fashion sense!

Blogger Pillole Di Moda said ... (4:50 PM) :

the skirt is prada! probably the mostly worn designer at fashion weeks and the most amazing (my opinion) collection for f/w 07.

Blogger Mónica said ... (5:46 PM) :

I am so shocked... I 've never before seen F. Sozzani in other colour than black! amazing pic!

Blogger zuccotto said ... (10:21 PM) :

More twinkle toes from a grown woman.

I might like her (well, sure) and the photo otherwise.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:53 AM) :

Interesting.
The editor in chief of a Vogue in a "classic" coat !
are we watching a new trend coming : Classic and "boring" clothes !

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:05 PM) :

How very refreshing to see a woman who isn't wearing those ubiquitous black tights/leggings. She looks like a person of genuine style, not a trendoid. This is one of my favorite looks I've seen on the site so far. And I like how simply she wears her hair, in a style somewhat surprising for a woman of her age.

Blogger blyger said ... (1:41 AM) :

Too beige...

Blogger Anastasia said ... (6:52 PM) :

what a calm picture...Franca is so chic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:48 AM) :

It's the first time i see her in another color then black! Very fresh..but I like her best in black..

Blogger ADJIUMI said ... (3:37 AM) :

I love Prada clothes for men and women for this winter, i bought a lot of clothes in milan, Franca S. is chic, so perfect.

Ciao from Italy

Blogger hoi polloi said ... (1:42 PM) :

I love this. Its classic and understated with a touch of imagination and color. Not too much, just right.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:19 AM) :

I love the clothes but I must admit I have a problem with the hair, it is too girly and it makes the face look very old. Thank you for a great blog, I love it when you comment on your pictures!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:57 PM) :

She is an utterly remarkable woman because she is utterly unpretentious. What a wonderful photo. Thank you.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:53 PM) :

I can't believe how graceful she looks! She always brings something new to the outfits one sees every day, she completely stays out of the trend, looking even better. She looks so calm and at ease, that makes her look so elegant and classy. Her face looks wonderfuly natural by the way, much better than those people wearing tons of makeup!
