Comments on "A New Personal Favorite"
absolutely stunning!
a highly inspiring photo and person.
Sart, this is wonderful! Wow! Speechless.
love everything except the tights.
think white tights should be worn by only nurses and those under the age of 10.
wow, she looks fabulous. did you happen to ask where she was off to? I envision somewhere terribly romantic.
tres chic... except white tights?
think those should be limited to nurses, dancers and the under-10 demographic
Dazzling in every sense of the word!
This looks real ghostly.White worn like this is a very demanding color, especially white, opaque tights reveal every single imperfection on our legs.Somehow this picture has this 60´feeling,a period I´m so glad is over.
Wow!
Something tells me those white tights may not have remained so bright with the rain puddles. Love the hat, though.
wow , she looks like she's floating and the entire outfit lends that ethereal quality to the entire picture . With the grand palais at the back . Superb . Absolutment Jolie .
stunning, stunning, stunning x
she looks like the modern edie sedgwick. but no drugs and more class. so pretty! and the hat!
so Mod!
Hello Audrey Hepburn!
She works those tights so well!
My favorite thing about your pictures is seeing people break the rules and pull it off brilliantly. Sure, we all know the dangers of white tights, but she looks perfect, doesn't she? The outfit wouldn't have close to the drama without them.
I don't like this look. It looks like she's wearing a lab coat.
those shoes... those shoes!!
Classic yet modern
Brilliant!
Wow wow. What a delightful oreo. I totally disagree with Grace's comments about white tights. I think white tights can look incredibly chic and even sexy with the right outfit. I hate when people have 'rules.' Rules are the antithesis to style.
The pockets...the shoes...the...everything! (But the hat, perhaps something more "tailored" is in order?)
Anyway, all the Paris shots make one feel that Paris is Paris again. If you follow.
Wow!
usually i don't like white tights, on anyone except tiny (young!)ballerinas, but she is stunning. great shot.
This photo is amazing. I love the contrast!
Refinement and sophistication are two elements that we desperate needs in our modern life – this pictures simply reminds us what is could be like if all take sometime in our daily time to get indulgence with our own presence -
she looks like she's floating, celestial being hovering over this very earthy earth of ours. my god, how i love it.
Okay, this is the exception for dresses having shorter hems then jackets.
mltt
i happen to like the white tights. she looks good. stop with all the rules!
Wow, she certainly has a point of view. Check out the detailed eye-makeup. Have to appreciate such meticulous efforts.
The white tights are necessary to keep the emsemble duochromatic and still outline the shape of the shoe.
It's such a still outfit; if she were in motion it would ruin it.
Striking and gorgeous!
Delicate but still modern. Love it.
I love it when someone takes an alleged fashion don't (white tights) and pulls it off so brilliantly! This is what it means to have style. Excellent photo Sart. Bravo!
Brava, well-studied! The young lady certainly knows how to pose to evoke the early 60's Balenciaga and Pierre Cardin collection that have informed her updated version of the look.
But I find the floppy picture hat (an unfortunate trend this season, IMO) one thing too many. I's rather see big orange plastic button earrings instead, please.
perfetta.
This is one of my personal favorites as well - for several reasons, only some of which pertain to her loveliness and your ability to capture it so well.
Wow.
she looks angelic, glowing
Like a fashion sketch
What I love is how she posed her right hand. That's somebody who's studied old fashion photography.
Sart, your posts are getting better, and better, and better, and better..
Today is a great day !
this is a stunning photo; i gasped audibly when i saw it!
i wonder how she would look against a dark background.
Perfect!
this is a nice contrast to the many, many young ladies you have shown lately with black opaque tights. I think she is having a bit of a laugh at them in her own way. But I don't care for her shoes, they look like ice skates, and with the floating effect of the photo that look is exaggerated.
Too many of the other photos lately are of a very particular look that I guess is just prevalent in Paris right now with the black tights. It already looks tired.
Shame about the shoes, otherwise very striking. Something is very awkward about the shape of them, which is emphasised by the white tights.
I am a big fan of black/white and she really puts a unique and ultramodern twist to the combo.
Ohhh!I love it!
Black and White,beautiful girl !!!
Wow !!!
Juste l'allégorie chic.
A vision...so ethereal! Really remarkable shot.
the floppy hat, the coat, the tights, the make up..I think it's obviously overdone
That eyemake-up is so bjork like... but it REALLY works with that fantastic outfit. I'm not denying the jacket and shoes are great... but the hat and gloves really make this whole look in my opinion
I smiled all the way down until I got to the shoes... But she looks great from the ankles up.
How does she keep that coat CLEAN? ;-)
If you can work an outfit like that, more power to you! She's striking.
*ily

With the shimmer from the puddles on the street, she looks like she could be on ice. Mia Farrow meets Audrey Hepburn. A cool ice maiden indeed!
SD
So chic!
She is a Russian fashion designer Victoria Gazinskaya (Виктория Газинская ) and she is fierce :)
It makes for a nice photo, but I'm not a fan of white tights for everyday (or any time) wear. Which is perhaps beside the point ... It's a nice pose and the tights work for the shot.
Some of your shots turn improbable outfits into editorial compositions, which is a nice trend.
I love the deliberate way she's holding her free hand. She almost looks like an old-school mannequin.
Gorgeous
absolutely gorgeous.
the gloved hand is as a sculpture..
it looks very The Conformist/Marc Jacobs Fall 2007 influenced. Good for her!
Great photo, amazing subject. She stands out from a predominately black and white background with her stark white and jet black outfit. She naturally attracts the eye; she's a colorful, black and white gem in a comparatively grey world.
this is really cool!
about her right hand - you didn't photoshop a cigarette out of it did you?;)
I enjoy her hands and her make-up. The coat is pretty cool too. I think her pose makes the picture, but I would personally find this outfit too overwhelming. Props to her for doing it anyway.
Mmmm So Fabulous!
for me, not so much this look...
she's incredible. an absolute vision from the future in our time.
i'm speechless.
iconic
that's amazing.
and i can see why....fantastic outfit and lighting. it's phenomenal
I think I'm in love.
even her eyeliner is matching with the black ... pretty
She's so stunning. She reminds me of Romy Schneider in Le Vieux Fusil! Perfection!
such an amazing style.
It's all about the hat.
She looks like someone from late sixties French film. Makes you wonder where is she going, who will she meet, who is her lover?
This black and white outfit is amazing: the gloves, the hat, the handbag -- everything. It recalls an era of cinematographic class straight out of films like "Charade" or "Rear Window" with Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly wearing gorgeous outfits. This young woman is stunning.
I could understand why..
She reminds me of a somewhat futuristic Breakfast at Tiffany's..
Very Lovely..
No way sart...the socks are too white and the coat makes her look like a sack...
but I do love the gloves and the hat, make her look like an oldie model from harper's bazaar
gorgeous is the word...
i just wonder who she is, really.
For me, it is all a bit too studied.
I think she pulls off the white tights well! She is far from a nurse or under 10, but fashion is supposed to be daring and an experiment with color! Her outfit is very aesthetically pleasing and, viewing fashion as a form of art, is beautiful.
when will you come here, to madrid, spain?
she's a princess.wondrful
Too much 'Breakfast At Tiffany´s'. And I say it like a good thing. She looks beautiful.
Didn't like it.. seems to go to a costume party... is too math! maybe if she had mixed a little bit more the clasic and the modern waould have worked better...
gorgeously bold and glamorous. I love the shapes, the eye-makeup, the gloved hand.
white tights, though not for everyone as anon and grace point out, are striking, highlighting the lines of her shoes and defining positive and negative space.
brilliant composition, sart. bravo!
amazing. white. great.
Speaking of broken rules- this is how to wear white after labor day. If I saw her on the street I'd stop immediately just to look. What an elegant creature!
I do not like this style.
I says time traveling femme android.
Even the pose is totally devoid of personality.
Besides de colors can not get any more schematic: way to contained.
I prefer a nun style.
are there ever any men on this blog anymore?
so dainty, so ethereal
yet THE DRAMA
Wow, i'm speechless. Judging from brazilian Constanza Pascolato picture a couple of posts below, i assume you've been shooting a lot of fashionistas lately.
i love this photo Sart...her expression is wonderful!
...although i would never suggest any one wear white tights!
Amazing photo! Thank you for posting this pic in your blog, I saw it on style.com.. Love the fact that she didn't leave her legs bare and wore white tights.. She completed her look even more with her mod eyeliner and poised hand..
The whiteness of her coat against the white-ish reflection makes it seem as if she came out of nowhere.. great effect!
She reminds me of a cat!
I like that the shoes look like ice skates.
I particularly like the hemline/tights play.
It's an elegant photo, and an elegant personal presentation.
I totally agree with Anon. 3:37
The poised right hand makes this photo for me....
First thought was...Audrey. beautiful.
Something about this photo (and outfit) is reminiscent of the infamous Dior Bar Suit photo - something so classic, so arrestingly beautiful and literally stunning. Love it.
don't like it at all
WOW!! This is flawless, the combination of Black and white is blended perfectly.
What a beautiful woman.
gold star for the day goes to...SART!
balck and white is awesome, and the reason is outfits like this, or rather people like her wearing outfits like this, or rather really good photos of people like her wearing outfits like this...
you win again, sart.
i like the pieces individually, but do not think they work at all together. it is an incredibly harsh white, and putting it with the white tights honestly makes me cringe a little. the shoes are phenomenal.
i feel like her face is completely vacant, and the eye makeup definately adds to that blankness- but if the point is to wear one's personality and mental state externally for the day, than she has achieved something like that.
Kudos to her for finding a perfect pair of white tights. Everyone should try looking for them sometime and expose themselves to the flattering comments of bemused salespeople. All I can say is: Thank goodness for online stores.
Scott, this is amazing.
Makes me long for normal basic clothes. What a great way to look different and new - at least compared to many looks on this site.
Wow, like a fashion angel.
Every accesory is so tastefully worn, like how women once conveyed themselves....why do so many of your viewers have a problem with one or the other?
love it but that coat needs to be fitted better-take it in a few inches at the waist and it'd be amazing!
It is amazing to me that a person can look so pristine and surreal. It's absolutely marvelous.
p.s. have a look at my blog... you might find it interesting: www.accordingtocaroline.com
By far one of my favorites!!!
I know her very well! I wish You all can see her everyday! She is a work of art herself! She is a young very talented designer from Russia. Her name is Victoria Gazinskaya! It is worth to fly to Moscow to see her and her collections!
Stunning! What a look! : )
wow, is she actually standing on the ground on this planet or did you catch a spirit?
The white tights and dramatic eye make up appears 'Geisha' inspired!
RK
Love the contrast and her posture.
So unheimlich! Beautiful image.
unbelievable. its perfection, every drop. someone said she is fierce, they were right. she seems as if she dwells in a world of perfection where everyone could pull it together like this. she must be a designer to hav eachived that effect.
Ethereal. She is art personified.
And no, this wouldn't be perfect without the white hosiery.
Stunning combination, just love it!
She reminds me so much of Catherine Deneuve from Belle du Jour with that perfect, austere white jacket
This is a sharp outfit, but I can't shake off the association of its colors and contours with the word "bovine." The white splotched with black, the vaguely hoof-like shoes. Perhaps if the jacket were more tightly-fitted...
Is she from the future, or the past? I cannot tell.
What a fabulous outfit. I love the ha and the gloves. And the shoes keept it modern.
For some reason it doesn't look natural. For me, street fashion is best when it feels natural and personal. This is more like street art.
Reminds me of the girl in "Breathless" by Godard..
What a sweet, fresh face! That's what keeps the clothes from looking too severe.
I think she pulls off the white tights well. What a beautiful look against the sheen of the wet streets. She reminds me of Leslie Caron!
the white tights bring too much contrast to the cut-out in the shoe. i need to pass on loving this outfit. knees and up only for me
This is a fabulous photo of a striking and daring woman. She does look vintage, but I think the 'awkward' shoes 'wrong' stockings and floppy hat make the look modern.
I do think it's extremely amusing that all the anonymos commentators here feel it incumbent upon themselves to loftily pass judgement on the 'errors' this stylish woman is making.
It makes me wonder how they dress every day.
Wonderful.
Russian fashion designers Vika Gazinskaia! Yeaaa!!!
brilliant!
I don't like her clothes, but I do like the attitude, the make-up and the photo!
If she were wearing black tights, or god forbid some heinously jarring jewel tone, we wouldn't be able to appreciate the shoe detail.
That is nice.
fantastic! Wish I could look like that sometimes.
Love, love, love, love, LOVE IT!!
I love the look.
And I like the way those white tights look under those black boots - the colour contrast makes you look at the "gap" on boot, very, very interesting.
this picture makes all the other photos on the page look dark, boring...
inspiring photo, hard to forget. made an impact.
stunning! love the black and white look
i like it
She looks 3-D!!!!!!
I absolutley love this photo! her look appears to be a new take on classic elements!
oh, she looks so...chic. like an angel.
I have to congratulate you. The wonderfully dramatic back-to-the-future-chic of the outfit looks so great against the shimmering silvery composition of the background. Its great.
Am I the only one who finds this too...costume-y? Oh, it's beautiful, for sure. But it's just so studied; it requires such removal from life in every particular...the sense becomes almost sterile. I, for one, love seeing a bit of the deshabille in one's self-presentation.
I love individual elements: her eyeliner, the shoes, the coat, her posture and so forth. But together? All at once? Contrived, in my view.
Meh. But maybe I'm just being a curmudgeon.
wow! simply: wow!!!!
Fantastic!!!!
This is a spectacular shot. The lighting off the water in the back, combined with the black and white outfit (and the geometry of those shoes), is dramatic and ethereal at the same time. This strikes me as a real "money" shot in a movie.
to maria:
what's wrong with time traveling femme androids?
for me the futuristic, non-human asthetic is what makes it so captivating.
Perhaps it is the hand that creates the high sophistication in the image. If the hand would have been in her pocket or just hanging straight down, the elegance would have been lost.
Wow, black and white perfection. Kudos on the idea to blow highlights on this shot Sart, it's just magnificent.
FASCINATING!!!

i think this look is quite wonderful and i love when people wake up in the morning and choose to wear something different! i would consider this look perfect if her waste was more emphasized-with a belt maybe- helen=)
Very nice.
