Comments on "At the Tuileries...Black Coat, Paris"
Amazing coat, amazing shoes and beautiful sunglasses. The casually styled hair make this work so perfectly.
She looks breathtaking.
Just fabulous - right down to the strand of hair trailing behind catching the light. A really beautiful picture, reminds me of Bonnard.
Love the color, movement and strappy shoes. Is she a black lady bug or the Little black riding hood ?
she looks like cendrillon... ;0
Perfect in Back !
I love her coat! Her whole outfit just looks so effortless.
Gorgeous movement and shape. The angle on her legs is so odd it just adds to the coat and shoes.
I love it when women run on heels. The pinnacle of being feminine and strong at the same time.
Cheryl Marie Cordeiro
Absolutely gorgeous...The epitome of style!
ah! does anyone know where those shoes are from?
trés féminine, je veux les mêmes chaussures et le même manteau !!!!!
aérienne !
personally, i loved how she contrasted the chic billowy coat against those uber-sexy heels.
i think 'em heels are from Bottega Veneta, no?
i'm currently living in memphis and for some reason all the women here who attempt to wear a shoe with any sort of shoe end up looking completely trashy. however, this woman pulls it off quite wonderfully.
Running here !!!
Beautiful liecht !!!
Love the proportions and the big simple shapes - simple equals beautiful.
Her outfit is really cool! The coat is incredible, and the shoes are amazing, she really is a good example of the Parisian chic. The perfect detail, the sunglasses.
Marvelous coat--the shot of her-in-movement gives a great sense of its shape.
LOVE the coat
She is running, in stilettos, downhill, at gravel! She's an acrobat, and a beautiful dressed one :-)
/ mia
She looks great.I like her hair, cause it is a bit messy and allows her pretty face to be seen. The coat is real modern too,I only wish it were a bit longer. She has great legs but the proportions are not quite right here.Fancy and elegant shoes too.
Ah, the swing coat.
You captured it at the exact moment of movement that perfectly displays its shape and line.
great shot. Stylish girl on the run! love the shoes :)
I love this picture and the outfit.
beautiful I want that CoaT!!! love the photo!
great shot. The lighting, the background... and those shoes are amazing!
Love the coat, the shoes are great, but it's the legs that make it! Great style and great picture.
Qu'est-ce qu'elle fait là?
the shoes take the cake here: stunning
That coat is divine!
Great photo! The coat is amazing :) ahhh there's nothing like Paris
nice cape!
lovely! i heard that when women wear heels, they are putting three times their body weight on the balls of their feet. so for her to be running on gravel... wow!
I love it when women run on heels. The pinnacle of being feminine and strong at the same time.
I think it's the pinnacle of ridiculousness. Women don't "run" in heels. They do a strange little bouncy fast hobble.
She looks lovely, and this is a gorgeous photo, but if she makes it through the day without breaking an ankle, it will merely demonstrate the pinnacle of being feminine and extremely LUCKY at the same time. Strength has nothing to do with it.
i love her shoes.
Simply stunning! Can anyone identify the coat/shoes?
Simply. Fabulous.
I now have a serious case of Coat Envy.
love the coat. anyone know anything about it?
What a lovely photograph. The sunlight on her hair, the Monetesque purple and pinks with the razor hedge, and then of course the movement in black -- really wonderful, like a symphony.
Love those shoes too.
Thank you for another beautiful photograph.
Someone should purchase the Norman Norrell label, and make her the spokeswoman. Non?
Brilliant capture! Very Parisian, very fashion editorial staff running to the show.
Don't you just hate the white pebbly dusty path at the Tuileries? I feel like I need a pedicure after I walk through that stuff.
just lovely.
that coat is to die for!
What are you talking about all of you??
what about the legs?!! Marvelous!
Fred
(forgive me for doing my basic french :)
absolutely gorgeous. the shoes, the legs, the coat.
great coat.
What is the Tuileries???
Gorgeous jacket! And I'm impressed that she seems to be running in those shoes!
Wow this is perfection! Amazing job, Sart.
Love the hair.
Is this the same Teen Vogue editor who was on The Hills doing that photo shoot with Whitney's little sister?
(I can't believe I am asking this, but I keep thinking this woman looks really familiar, and this is the closest I can get to placing her.)
perfectly hot!
(i'm disturbed at how other's find it necessary to find negative comments to make: "break her ankle"? are you kidding me?)
anyhow, it just amazing me and makes me smile to know that there are people out there creating beauty like this young lady does seemingly without any effort...GREAT FIND SART! thank you
This picture made me think of Ande from The Devil Wears Prada.
She's probably rushing off to get the 8th Harry Potter book for the twins ;)
She has a great coat and shoes though... Miranda would approve.
my new idol
This is a little bit "Lartigue" ... and she is so effortlessly chic!
I cannot believe how easy she pulls the heels off. I'm at Nordstroms today agonizing over pumps that have a 2 inch heel because I don't think I can handle any higher...how does she do it? She looks amazing!
That just shows how oversized stuff has taken us by storm.
that coat! those shoes! et she is running?! sart, you're wonderful.
lol i had a good dream about those shoes :)
I adore her whole look.. the simpleness of her hair, her flirted coat, and her heels with bare legs.. She's got it..
...and again the lighting wow!
~ pearlescent
beautiful coat & fabulous picture. Can't say I love the shoes.
Is it impossible for a woman to be so well-balanced that she just might be able to run in heels? While I am no expert myself, I have seen many women do it. It may not have anything to do with strength, but it has everything to do with balance, grace, and coordination.
The women you see hobbling also just might have blisters due to ill-fitting shoes. Haha.
She is very stylish and thin(I say with envy)
Ah, divine combination!
I have a similar coat... higher collar, though. However, I admire this fearless demoiselle for her heels.
I prefer lower kitten heels and slacks. Cycling around the city has its disadvantages, and should I affect the same outfit, certain body parts would definitely suffer from the wind chill factor...
"Is this the same Teen Vogue editor who was on The Hills doing that photo shoot with Whitney's little sister?"
I was thinking the same thing! It really does look like Lawren Howell. I kept coming here to check if anyone said it was her. Glad someone else thinks so!
Oh My- But this is amazing!!!! So chic and simple. The Balenciaga heels paired with the coat is so genius.
Lola - yes, someone else that was thinking the same thing as me!! And even better, you know her name!
Now, how can we find out if it was The Hills editor or not? Can anyone confirm?
Folks, any negativity was directed entirely at the poster who said that a woman running in heels is "the pinnacle of being feminine and strong at the same time," with which I strongly disagree. I'm aware that this is an entirely subjective point of view on both my part and that of the original poster. I'm free to disagree with her and to voice my disagreement (unless Sart tells me not to).
As I said, I do agree that this woman's outfit is lovely and that the photo is a beautiful capture. How can I make it more clear than that?
And, no, I have never seen a woman running in heels this height look graceful. In a still photo, sure, but not in person. It always looks awkward and restricted to me. The perception of grace is subjective, too, you see. :)
I have been looking for a coat like this everywhere! What a beautiful photograph, well done on the weather, it's raining heavily now...
The rapidity of her movement:
The delicacy of her features:
Wrapped in the floating volume of this jacket:
Pointed upon the most elegant of sandals:
Accented by a strand of loose hair:
A great look! And a wonderful photo!
this is not lawren howell--she was not at the paris shows.
What I would like to know is: how does she walk at that (apparently considerable) speed along the gravel path of the Tuileries in skinny high heels??
oh my dear how gorgeous is that!
RUNNING AND BEING BEAUTIFUL AT THE SAME TIME, GIVEN NATURAL BEAUTY.
the heels aren't Balenciaga!!! it's BOTTEGA VENETA FALL 2007
wow! haha i'm so articulate
I really like that picture. The coat, the sunglasses, the hair and the "pose".She looks to be in a rush and I like the way she hold things instead of putting them in a bag or something.
can someone PLEASE find out where i can get that coat or who makes it????
aint nothing wrong with this pic! nothing but love.
Volume, voluminous, black coat, gorgeous.
If she´d be runnig none of the foots would be touching the ground..:-)...
Neverless, gorgeous pic and lady.
breathtaking!
Are those Bottega veneta shoes?
lovely photograph
This is an amazingly composed photograph.
Truly it's the scene that makes her look simply perfect.
This photo is really one of a kind, it's beautiful and the subject should feel blessed...I wonder how it would look with any heel. Great job. p.s.I love the heels!
Great shoes for that coat
ok,this is one of your best pictures.! the amazing coat, the stunning heels and the fabulus sunglasses in combination with the messy, natural hair! extra point the book and the way she holds it..! GREAT
