Comments on "At Dries Van Noten p.1"
LOVE the red haired dude. He looks like a hipster/equestrien version of Ron Weasley
Sexy redhead...
ybzbThe last man is very stylish, he's wearing lots of nice pieces, I like his simple beige sweater, how he tied his Burberry scarf, and how his jeans are nicely cuffed, this man knows how to accessorize.. Interesting ring, is that a cuff leather bracelet and a watch? His shoes are amazing, and his tote is very neat. I would have loved to see him with his Burberry trench on..
Bit of Mr Darcy action there, with the redhead.
Cool and great to see some hair!
Wow. That red hair with the deep blue jacket... Gorgeous.
Proving that the best accessory is a good head of hair. :-)

Love the hippy, dippy, trippy look of the girl in pic 3, I bet she has an amazing collection of vintage books!
i just want to know where #3 got her jeans. that's all. i won't ask for another single thing. ever.
The woman in the third picture down has such a nice 70s vibe; reminds me of Maria Schneider in "The Passenger"...
There is something similar in all the four photos and I don´t mean just the background. The people pictured all look queer.Leaves me puzzled.I´m somehow unable to grab at anything specific, but the atmosphere in these pictures is odd.
Girl #3 is Punky B; http://www.punky-b.com/wp/
oh, long grey hair looks fantastic!
and the red haired one also!
(though his trousers fit not very well imho...)
Thank you so much Scott for this amazing picture you took of me on that day... I love it, I'm so proud you put it here, you made my day!
For "editor": I got my jeans at... Bershka! What a teenager I am sometimes! :) So hard to find a good pair of flared jeans...
Hi,
you could also call this shoot: How to proof that red heads CAN wear blue without looking stupid! Blue is such a difficult color, but when you get the hang of it, it's wonderful!
Franz Benjamin
Re the redhead: the news here is the legging-like pants--can we just call them leggings?--and the short DB blazer.
An interesting...attempt.
These are all great however I especially like the last shot - the scarf is fantastic. Love all the details, the trouser length, his accessories. He's certainly paid attention to detail.
Punky B...I love your shoulder bag. Could you tell me who makes it?
1. Mystical!
2. He needs to stop the madness.
3. The emphasis should be on the length of everything as opposed to the monotone purple.
4. GREAT accessories. Winnah!
mltt
are you kidding me? i am actually getting what i asked for? unbelievable!
punky b - thank you thank you thank you.
haha, red haired gentleman is my cousin from Normandy, he's one of the most fashionable 18 (i believe) year olds that I know.
The second pic from the bottom makes me think of Spain. Very Madrid/Barcelona. I LOVE this year's comfortable, bulky fall and winter fashion.
I've had trouble with all of these Dries photos because that path and fence and its vegetation are so totally swoony I can't take my eyes off of them to look at the people. BUT the woman who's first in this post -- with the black ensemble and that incredible necklace -- is stunning.
This is the most amazing group! Each one has their own look, but with such a cohesive group style. I love the, I believe it's COACH bag the gentleman at the bottom is using.
Sometimes it takes courage for a woman to let her hair gray naturally, but it is very beautiful! My mother has similarly impressive long gray hair, and she gets compliments everywhere she goes. Aging gracefully and caring for ourselves through out life is something wonderful to aspire to.
i love the wide-legged jeans, big sweater and hair. very sexy 70s. i'm liking this look in small doses (for the touchability) mixed with minimalism.
I love how these photos are shot in front of very luscious vegetation, giving all of the photos a bit of a jungle-esque exotic feel. I then love how the outfits are all so fitting for said atmosphere, especially the two gentlemen. The whole atmosphere of the photos is reminiscent of vintage British jungle explorers in India. I just love this whole set.
Great photos, Scott! Love the verdant background. The last chap is indeed very stylish. Love his camel v-neck sweater, scarves/neckerchiefs, jeans, and boots. I am getting a strong Quentin Crisp vibe from him. Well done!
women around the world could only hope to age half as gracefully as #1 clearly has. if she didn't have grey hair, i wouldn't even guess her to be a day over 35! i'm really keen on #3's 70's protestor-esque outfit, as well. good post, sart.
Indeed, superb style in each of the pictures! I wonder who the lady on the first picture is, I think, she has already been captured here before a few times...
young red-haired man, your trousers are making you look short-legged.
A would describe a couple of these styles as "urban naturalist."
anonymous: my shoulder bag is a Jerome Dreyfuss, a famous french designer who designs bags with bio leathers... great quality! maybe you know him and his brand? it is sold in the US as well (I bought it in Paris, France though).
The lady in the first picture looks amazingly stylish and beautiful.
Despite her loustrous grey hair, she strikes me as being young-ish, possibly late 30s/early 40s with preamturely greying hair.
Hair can definitely be one of the best accessories. The red and long grey hair is absolutely striking and makes the men "pop".
And the trouser length!! Whoa

O yes! Hair can definitely be the best accessory! The red and long grey are both daunting, but absolutely fabulous!
OOO and the trouser length!

Eric the Red! Very, very cool.
Great wide leg jeans, and nice accessorizing on #4(scarf, boots, bangles!) .
the bohemian girl! Love her - she is so me!
Each of them look amazing! Is there such a thing as scarf envy?! He has tied it so well - being a scarve addict he has inspired a new look for me for A/W!
Thank you so much for all of you positive comments. It was an honour to be on The Sartorialist, and a lot of fun. Thank you The Sartorialist for making that possible.
In case anyone was wondering, Im the red headed person.
The redhead is perfection.
there is something very striking about all of these photographs, they appear to be linked in some mysterious fashion. all of these people photographed in this section seem to be very artistic and evidently fashionable people. however, my favorite is the redhead he just pops up from the picture and catches everyone's eyes.

A preference for punky-b, i like very much her style ! :D
