On The Street.........Icy Blue & Red, Lower East Side

I love that icy palette of blue with her pale skin and red hair.

You can tell where young models are going for a castings because they will be outside the building switching out of their walking shoes and into their heels. Notice her sandals in the left background.

Love her stance!!

Incredible photo! It has a "Land of the Giants" look with the guy behind her looking reallllly small at that angle. Beautiful colors here.

The picture is interesting and the girl knows how to pose.It is good that the red of her hair is repeated in the t-shirt of the man behind.Small details make the snap interesting.

She must be a newbie!

Any girl with a couple seasons under her belt will have a driver so they can remain in the heels from 7am to 2am! [Yes, models work long long hours during fashion week!]

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:37 PM) :

The colours together are fabulous; the shoes, the dress, the skin, the hair.

But why does she look unhappy? She looks fatigued or sick... Is it my perception because she's so frail and thin?

Blogger Susan B said ... (8:14 PM) :

Very dramatic combo! Hope she got the gig.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:51 PM) :

i thought you didnt want to shoot models?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:53 PM) :

Damn, girl! That's too much!

Great photo, Sart. There are like three "trompe l'oeil" kinda things going on to make this girl seem so much taller than she likely already is.

Bang on with the fashion style and the shot's style,
mltt

Blogger Blaise said ... (10:26 PM) :

lovely dress and lovely stare.. I wish she'd get casted..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:17 PM) :

Love her look. My best friend has her body shape, hair coloring, and skin tone. I will now try to hunt down this type of dress for her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:53 PM) :

wow...she is fearsome to behold :) She almost looks mythological... and so icily beautiful, but not in an unkind way.
That pallette is very flattering.

Blogger simplyolive said ... (8:28 AM) :

this is really a great photo...
so much to keep one's eye moving: the flip flops in the sidewalk, the sweater and bag slouched against the wall, the guy in the background, and especially her stance--and how the wind is ever so gently blowing her skirt between her legs.

not to mention, the flaming red hair and great blue dress.

Blogger Landis said ... (10:26 AM) :

that's it.

i'm dying my hair red.

you know, when i get hair again.

I cannot resist correcting myself!

"Marietta", indeed. Must've been the Georgia on my mind.

I mean to write "The Master and Margarita", of course.

Gotta love a redhead!! I really feel the importance, since we're only 2% of the population and by 2060, can be extinct.... according to the National Geographic.

Save a redhead, save the world!

love the blog!
