Comments on "On The Street.......Carine Roitfeld in New York"
C.R again! She has a nice dress on a nice figure. With the shoes she has,she can certainly pose-but can she walk? Now we have seen all the three grand ladies in a short time.Thanks.
great composition, with the ruffles in the dress working with the louvres on the building. A study in texture, not color.
va-va voom!
k. she just never gets it wrong.
you just want to grab her for a drink at the gramercy. cause you know she knows EVERYTHING.
God I love her smile.
Great dress! Her hair is allways amazing!
thats a beautiful alaia dress
She never takes a bad shot, does she?
Carine certainly knows how to make the most of her assets, and dress "young" without looking silly. I can't believe she's in her 50's!
Are you stalking her? Enough already..........she's fabulous..and chic.......stylish! Move on! There are other people in the world.
Im not a fan :(
I dont think she carries the dress well at all! She needs better shoes for one.
At least she is wearing a smile though!
Oh my god she's beautiful! I love the blazing, white sunlight the surrounds her, too!
Alaia, Alaia, Alaia
Oh man. Sometimes I think the dresses here are just about how fabulous some women's figures are. Who else could carry off horizontal ruffles (horizontal ruffles!!) and look AMAZING?
Very busy texture on the dress. Most women would not be able to pull this off, but this piece looks good on her.
Love her, Love the shoes- Hate the dress!
What I'd give to see what she do with a pair of Levi's 501, Hanes Tshirt, and a pair of trainers....She is an inspiration.
She looks fabulous in that dress - it really showed off her figure.
oh, she looks awesome!
She's dead-on, as always.
Much better more interesting than Anna Wintour these days.
she looks gorgeous in the dress. it's great to have hope that i might look better in my 50s than i do now in my 20s.
only i actually do think the shoes actually are a little too young for her, and look a tad silly.
did you choose the background specifically to complement the lines in the dress? it looks fabulous
There's no doubt that CR has great style and access to the biggest and best labels available to anyone however; I'd be more impressed if she wasn't always head-to-toe in labels. It's just a sore spot of mine, if you have money and access, then I expect you to look good, it's the everyday person on the street that I find impressive!
love the colors of her outfit (i'd say that dress isn't really for day, though). i've got to say that, as lovely as she is, her hair color is doing her no favors. too orange, too similar in value to her skin, and contrasting in color, bringing out a ruddiness in her complexion. hair tone is so personal and so key. other than that, she clearly has a great eye, lovely smile, and a truly enviable figure. you've gotta love a dress with such great details and textures. the shoes are so 90s prom, right? they're a great grey, and they match the step behind her. in fact, the backdrop is so artfully suited to her outfit, that it certainly was not serendipity, right mr. sart?
ah... such a smart photographer. love the horizontal lines of the doors behind and the horizontal ruffles of the dress. an adorable visual joke.
I aspire to be as cool as Carine. Never get tired of seeing her!
The dress and the ruffling is fantastic, but the heels look like stripper shoes and not in a good way (if there is a good way to look like a stripper!)
You know, I just couldn't stop thinking about this girl (woman), she just always look stunning.. :)
What I love about the photograph is the interplay of the horizontal lines--off the dress and off the shutters in the background. Nice Shot!
LOVE HER! Don't stop taking her photo...she is an inspiration!
ahh she is so inspiring and fabulous, that smile...
She has a nice little figure and knows how to dress it. But I do not understand why she seems to want to hide behind her hair. In all pictures I have seen of her.
she looks happy - great to see her in a lighter colour. she does edgy without being ridiculous so well.
Love this. I never could wear it. Looks great on her.
Nice figure and nice outfit.
I didn't think I'd ever use the phrase "smokin' hot", but here I am using it! Are you sure she's not a hotbot? How does she always look so effortlessly cool and sexy? I mean, besides having a skeleton key to get into any designers wardrobe. An inspiration.
Dress is beautiful on her figure and love the gutsy shoes. Please, please let me look like this at her age!
I don't like the dress, or the way it looks on her even though she has a lovely shape, or the shoes, or the gawky toed-in stance. But I do love the pairing of the ruffles and the screen louvres. Well done.
I, too, think the shoes look silly. And the dress colour is a bit drab. Overall though, of course, she is a very impressively-attractive older woman.
Love how she is always smiling...
This is one of the sexiest pictures I have ever seen of her--and that's saying a lot, because she has taken some amazing pictures in the past.
I try it to express my critic again with a more constructive approach. ... ok, sorry.
This alaya dress seems quite cheap to me. On a young girl it could be funny, but for Carine it’s too tight, too pale rosa, too much horizontal ruffle stripes.
for the shoes, enough comments have been made.
She does it well sometimes, but here it just doesn’t work.
And, yes! Your photos SART are always beautiful.
she looks, as usual, fabulous!
She gives us (older woman) a good name :)
She will forever be... my greatest inspiration. We love you.
