I like her cute pixie haircut and the way she styled it. That haircut suits her face :)

Blogger whyioughtta said ... (9:08 AM) :

I'll never ceased to be amazed by the perfection of the Swedish gene pool.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:12 AM) :

She is so beautiful, a Nordic angel, and I love her makeup, hair and necklace. However I don't think that is a very flattering waistline for her. Nonetheless, she is beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:18 AM) :

oh these scandinavians. absolutely gorgeous

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:19 AM) :

Lovely. And the brogues are perfect. (With dainty heels she'd be saccharine.)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:25 AM) :

beautiful person, beautiful dress and beautiful photography.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:26 AM) :

perfection

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:28 AM) :

Ethereal shot. Modern hair and girly dress combo with sweet necklace on beautiful girl. Then those contrasting Oxfords! Sometimes find NY too flawless, Paris too arch, London too 'cool'. Stockholm's dancing to its own drummer- style not fashion: love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:29 AM) :

whaw. with a face like that your shoes and dress definitely don't have to match. youth and symmetry are themselves style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:37 AM) :

good morning stockholmmmmm!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:40 AM) :

She is unimaginably gorgeous. I want her haircut.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:41 AM) :

She is unimaginably gorgeous. I want her haircut.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:42 AM) :

Do ya think she's swedish?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:50 AM) :

Isn't that the Pixie girl from last time you were in stockholm?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:51 AM) :

It's Vendela again! You captured her during your last trip to Stockholm as well. She's adorable, and has a great sense of style, though I'm not too fond of the dress she's wearing here.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:08 AM) :

Of course, now I long to move to Stockholm--simple-yet-gorgeous clothes and a national health care system! Although I'm still having trouble adjusting to some of these mid-eighties looks--I associate them with my mother and what she was wearing essentially from about 1984-1994 (and although she is a talented woman she's never been interested in fashion), also with certain unhappy junior high school graduation memories of my own. Some of these clothes look frumpy to me--or rather, to me they read as "frumpy for ironic reasons". (I did go through an "early eighties suits" phase myself back around 1999, with that goal in mind.) It's really helped me to realize how people who care about how they look can end up looking out-of-date in a bad as opposed to a classic way--I could easily see myself staying with looks I've liked over the past eight or nine years merely because it's hard for my eye to adjust to anything else. So, onward now to high-waisted pants!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:16 AM) :

whoa.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:19 AM) :

lovely...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:20 AM) :

I LOVE her hair...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:22 AM) :

I take that back...I love EVERYTHING about the subject

Blogger valentine said ... (10:24 AM) :

Awesome haircut.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:29 AM) :

A cute girl-who has not over dressed herself, which is a very good act. She looks natural and comfy of herself and I appreciate that.Well done.

Blogger materfamilias said ... (10:32 AM) :

I'm loving these Stockholm shots -- such a clean and classic look, occasionally leavened with just the right amount of quirkiness, as in the vintage-cardiganed cyclist below or the rolled full black pants of the young woman below that. Fit is noticeably impeccable in all these shots also.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:39 AM) :

How did that woman make that plain dress look so great? I like that she's wearing mens-style shoes.

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (10:41 AM) :

So beautiful, so sweet!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:55 AM) :

She's beautiful! Looks like an angel.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:58 AM) :

Love it ! This dress is just perfect. Love the way she tones down the cuteness of the dress with more masculine shoes...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:58 AM) :

I love the subdued print of her dress, and she's a real beauty.

Blogger Orchid & Wasp said ... (10:59 AM) :

I love the way she's paired the shoes with the dress... the effect is innocent and sophisticated at the same time.

So far, I'm finding the Stockholm men's style a bit precious, while the women's looks seem more self-possessed, relaxed, and, well... stylish.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:05 AM) :

this girl is freaking gorgeous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:07 AM) :

The dark eyes and black and white shoes are a perfect balance for the light-washed dress and pale skin. She's gorgeous. I think I remember always wanting to look like this, but then I got to old to care...

Blogger Victor Castro said ... (11:17 AM) :

LOVE IT! LOVE IT! If she had worn any other type of shoe it would be a whole different look. Hair & make-up are just perfect!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:22 AM) :

Wow, her hair is totally amazing! I wish I could pull off something like that...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:22 AM) :

WOW!

Simple but stunning.

Blogger Anna said ... (11:26 AM) :

Oh, what a lovely hair style!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:31 AM) :

This is such a stunning photograph.

Blogger Stacy said ... (11:34 AM) :

She's awesome.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:35 AM) :

she's an angel! I believe in god

Blogger amy darlene said ... (11:37 AM) :

those shoes are beautiful!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:38 AM) :

she sure is gorgeous.

Blogger Asi Mod said ... (11:40 AM) :

Awesome raccoon eyes on her. I think it works really well on her because of her pale complexion and blond hair.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:43 AM) :

she's very beautiful. i love the hair and the dress.

btw, did you notice you made the frontpage of one of the newspapers in sweden? funny.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:45 AM) :

I LOVE this! I wish I was her.

Blogger K said ... (11:47 AM) :

she's gorgeous!

Blogger VertigoVirgo said ... (11:51 AM) :

She's very pretty, with an effortless abandon. Nice photo, you're talented. :)

Blogger Elizabeth said ... (12:01 PM) :

The lighting!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:04 PM) :

Oh my, she is gorgeous!!!

Blogger dnqcnn said ... (12:09 PM) :

wooww
an ice princess in the sun

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:20 PM) :

wow..is she a model?i love her hair and eye make up...very cool!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:23 PM) :

The shoes are too heavy for the lightness of the dress. The necklace is too long (extending beyond the waist) and the style is too modular for such an airy summer frock. The dress is a lovely shade of blue for her complexion however the waist is too high and creates a box out of her torso. Her heavy eyeliner is a nice contrast with the dress and makes more of a statement than if she had gone with something more subtle. her hair goes along with her eye liner, it's a little punk rock meets country bumpkin.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:23 PM) :

She is so cute I get goose pumps!
Sweet dress and femme fatale eyes with vintage shoes. Success!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:25 PM) :

The beauty of the physical is greater than that of the fashion.

But I wish it were the other way around, since I come to view this site as a fashion blog.

(although from others' comments {mostly by men}, they don't seem to mind. i'm not sure that's a good thing.)

come on, sart, you're better than this.

Blogger OnTheCorner said ... (12:25 PM) :

devil's haircut?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:25 PM) :

wow. flawless.

Blogger Haircuts... said ... (12:35 PM) :

sexie pixie style

Blogger CityGal said ... (12:37 PM) :

Oh wow! She's absolutely gorgeous. Love the smoky eyes and short blonde hair. Killer combination, especially on a face that pretty :)

Blogger WendyB said ... (12:46 PM) :

Very pretty.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:48 PM) :

Beautiful gal, frumpy dress. Did she borrow it from her granny?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:52 PM) :

that same pixie looking girl you shot in may! love how she played up her eyes...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:58 PM) :

STUNNING

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:06 PM) :

besides the fact that she's luminescently gorgeous...the shoes are perfect, and so is the necklace.

Blogger Particulars said ... (1:09 PM) :

Although she has a hip haircut and the color of the dress complements her complexion, the dress is a bit dowdy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:14 PM) :

When can we see a dark beauty? But she's lovely all the same.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:33 PM) :

She is so beautiful, reminds me of Mia Farrow in Rosemary's Baby.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:36 PM) :

This is the same Gwyneth Paltrow/Christy Turlington look-alike you shot at another time. I thought most of your subjects are shot randomly, chosen as you see them on the street.

Blogger Kelly said ... (1:41 PM) :

The lighting of this shot particularly suits her beauty, I think. So lovely! It's interesting, too that she chose such heavy eye makeup with such an otherwise light look. Adds a great edginess, I think

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (1:55 PM) :

How beautiful. Who cares what she's wearing when her face is so striking? Love, love her hair.

Is Stockholm full of other-worldly beauty and style or what?!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:59 PM) :

i fall in love everyday. she is seriously beautiful. great photograph.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:07 PM) :

could her hair be any more awe-inspiring?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:30 PM) :

You have already shown her once however in another style at another style. She Swedish model, Vendela!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:33 PM) :

breathtaking.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:58 PM) :

Great picture. Love the shoes!

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (3:05 PM) :

Scott, this is your best work to date.
Amazing found. I would have asked her to marry me, right away. Thank GOD I'm single. But unfortunately I'm not in Stockholm right now...

Keep 'm coming, Sartorialist.

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:07 PM) :

simply stunning!!!

Blogger Nadine said ... (3:07 PM) :

Such a beautiful girl. Her hair and makeup are fantastic and combine really well with the rest of her look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:44 PM) :

Blogger MacGuffin said ... (3:51 PM) :

Love her hair. She's simply radiant with beauty.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:55 PM) :

wow shes so beautiful it's painful. why can't I be like her? (crying desperatly)

Blogger Amanda said ... (4:06 PM) :

Wow! She looks like Agyness Deyn to me, but with a little more feminine touch.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:22 PM) :

to anon 1:14 who asked, "when can we see a dark beauty..."

look two posts down!

both gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:45 PM) :

Gorgeous and PERFECT. True fashion with a dapple of trend.

Blogger Viola said ... (5:24 PM) :

She looks so cool and graceful, great pics!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:55 PM) :

On the street just leaving the fashionshows. Thats why the makeup and hair is great.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:58 PM) :

Oh yeah, you betcha she's Swedish!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:37 PM) :

Wow. Just, wow.

I wonder what she'd look like without all that eye makeup, though.

I love the hair.
Nice catch, Sart.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:19 PM) :

is this the same girl, but without makeup?? :
http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/search?q=pixie

what is it with the swedes? beautiful clothes, flawless skin, perfect hair, and infectious music. i want to live in stockholm. thanks sart!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:07 PM) :

Makes me proud to be Swedish in heritage as well as want to learn the language. Beautiful.

Blogger tanya said ... (8:08 PM) :

isn't she the girl you photographed last june, and said it's the kind of image you bring to the salon and ask for the haircut? i'm getting antsy for a new look....

Blogger H said ... (8:44 PM) :

Absolutely beautiful.

Blogger jackie said ... (8:46 PM) :

wow she looks gorgeous

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:00 PM) :

Yep! I'm speechless.

-- desertwind

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:12 PM) :

It's sort of Bonnie & Clyde - The Depression, isn't it?

Faded summer dress; plastic necklace from the five & dime; men's spats grabbed on the run.

She's very good looking, of course, but not all models have such successful instinct for a personal "look".

-- desertwind

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:14 PM) :

PPS -- Just realized the smoky eyes may be a happy accident. Was she modeling at the show, Sart?

Blogger zoejean said ... (9:40 PM) :

very similar to the style of Prada's latest resort collection

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:46 PM) :

she's beautiful, and the outfit totally works on her. head to toe. and i especially love her eye makeup and brogues. - minette

Blogger hyacoda said ... (11:30 PM) :

the smoky eye make up and shoes match! Ta da!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:38 PM) :

i think my heart just stopped looking at her.

she is gorgeously beautiful without seemingly trying too hard. from the vintage dress to the mismatching oxfords and the kohl rimmed eyes - she's a walking contradiction and everything screams style, not blind fashion.

definitely an inspiration!

Blogger Blaise said ... (12:01 AM) :

Wow, she's picture perfect.. It has that art "feel"

Blogger Blaise said ... (12:14 AM) :

And that's a really nice and nicely-styled hair..

Blogger loony lacunae said ... (1:09 AM) :

Cool hair and makeup (kind of Flock of Seagulls-ish...but girly!). The clothes are rather dowdy in comparison though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:07 AM) :

now I realize why I am so proud of Swededen.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:59 AM) :

she's so cute, and i love her hair!

Blogger Claire said ... (8:52 AM) :

I had to comment as well* because I realised I kept coming back to look at this shot...everything about it and her is perfect.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:13 AM) :

Shes a model.. just found her on Aftonbladet getting her makeup done. ;-)
http://www.aftonbladet.se/mode/article578945.ab

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:12 PM) :

I can not believe how many comments this post has garnered. Sure, she is very beautiful, but her style is completely uninteresting. I actually think her outfit is downright dowdy. It is a nice picture, but people with model good looks photograph well regardless of what they are wearing. I am very disappointed to see this on a blog about style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:30 PM) :

Her's an article about the girl (Ida) modelling

http://www.aftonbladet.se/mode/article578945.ab

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:36 PM) :

perfect! wish we saw more stuff like that on the streets here!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:00 PM) :

Yeah, that is Vendela. Gorgeous and a model. Love her!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:01 PM) :

she looks like charlize theron

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:09 PM) :

I could marry that girl. She is absolutely amazing in every way.

Blogger Émilie Leduc said ... (6:38 PM) :

she is a piece of gold

Blogger jo said ... (7:47 PM) :

i wish i had the face to pull off a haircut like that. amazing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:40 PM) :

"The shoes are too heavy for the lightness of the dress. The necklace is too long (extending beyond the waist) and the style is too modular for such an airy summer frock."

I think that's the point. Sure, she could be more "feminine" and "beautiful" and wear dainty heels and a little gold chain, but then she'd only be using her beauty for evil and not for sartorial gain.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:32 PM) :

everything look so simple, that is the perfection, the beauty and the style.
Great picture!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:36 AM) :

I tought you where supposed too take pictures of regular people, it's not fair she looks like a model :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:59 AM) :

She should be a model if she isn't one already. I would pay for a magazine with her in it.

Blogger JYKW said ... (12:56 AM) :

she is so pretty!
and i like her dress!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:21 AM) :

I saw Vendela W in a studio some weeks ago. She's amaizing in front of the camera, such a playfulnes!
You can book her at mikas.se

want's to see more of her

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:03 AM) :

she loooks great! I loove swedish girls. :)

Blogger Johanna said ... (9:55 PM) :

I've never been so distracted by a woman's face that I couldn't bring myself to comment on her clothes. To be honest, I don't even remember if she was *wearing* clothes.

Truly, one of the most beautiful women - and eye makeup jobs - I've ever seen.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:14 AM) :

She's like the more feminine version of that rockabilly guy (http://bp1.blogger.com/_qjpwnPW4c1o/RlGnbhLQnvI/AAAAAAAABQM/kvVAi77JNLA/s1600-h/blondeboy.jpg) you shot in Sweden earlier this summer.
Fantastic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:37 PM) :

the close up of her looks great. she looks like part of a beauty spread, thou she is not delibertly posing at the moment, she doesnt look put on at all!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:04 PM) :

stunning dress
stunning girll
its amazzing
:)

Blogger nolifebeforecoffee said ... (5:50 AM) :

she's the perfect nordic beauty. looks like the front singer of "the cardigans". wow. I'm definitely in love with her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:00 PM) :

Didn't anyone notice Vendela's own posting above? Why are we writing in if no one's reading anyone?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:38 AM) :

I have read Vendela's message above. So after all, it was not a casual beauty wandering arond Stolkolm, but a model, made up and just styled for the model shows... She is obviously beautiful, but given this and the fact that the clothes are not particularly inspiring, not much of an example of street style, is it?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:03 PM) :

wow, she is beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:53 PM) :

absolutely breathtaking

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:16 PM) :

She's so beautiful. I really envy her haircut. Even though I want to get my hair cut that short, I can't because I'll get mistaken for a chubby, pre-adolescent boy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:55 PM) :

oh it sounded as if I were religious. I mean, true beauty, even physical beauty, is not at all represented in a sort of ´holy´way in some sort of modelesque being, please.

Blogger jayw said ... (9:46 PM) :

wow

Blogger hauschinka said ... (12:37 PM) :

love the contrast between the modern hair/make up and the dainty retro dress
