i have those shoes! they're marc marc jacobs, from the late spring/summer collection. love the color-block effect, love the effect of all the ties (in the shoes and the skirt). just a really good overall look. well done!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:02 AM) :

I WANT, WANT, WANT, that skirt!

Blogger Elizabeth said ... (11:03 AM) :

Perfect in every way. And I hate khaki!

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (11:05 AM) :

So cute! Beautiful photo! Her look is great!

I like the wrapping at the waist's tie-in with the wrapping at the ankles.

And I like how she pairs black up top with black below, mirroring the sand colour of the rest of her dress paired with the sand colour of her hair:

Nice double symmetry.

It feels a bit like something is missing, though.

Maybe this is part of the 'undone' / 'done' dichotomy of the Swedish way of dressing.

Must not appear like one cares too much or tries too hard.

I think that it is this casualness, coupled with the effortless good looks of the national gene pool that ups the ante of the whole Swedish look.

Effortless chic / feigned disinterest / confidence. It's a potent combination.

I love the simplicity of her outfit. Simple hair, simple makeup. Putting all focus on that gorgeous skirt.

Blogger Jeannie said ... (11:17 AM) :

amazing skirt.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:32 AM) :

she looks gorgeous and i wouldnt normally like those shoes either but it all works as an outfit.

Blogger Carol Diehl said ... (11:41 AM) :

Gorgeous! I love how she's wearing hardly any jewelry, only a bracelet.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:50 AM) :

All around beautiful and elegant.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:53 AM) :

I love the neutral coloublocking effect of the whole, and the way it stays simple yet youthful at the same time (updone, unfussy hair and whimsical ankle-tie shoes). Absolutely gorgeous.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:26 PM) :

GORGEOUS!!!

Stockholm scorecard:

Women...yes

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:43 PM) :

Coco Chanel with a happier childhood: girlish and sophisticated at the same time. Is she wearing No. 5, or something more innocently cheerful?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:44 PM) :

unbelieveable

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:54 PM) :

She looks so young and innocent in that top, skirt and shoes that there is not much more to say.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:05 PM) :

Wow that is gorgeous. She could be going out for coffee or to a swanky party. Is it really that easy or does she just make it look that way?

I also love that she isn't afraid of showing off her pale skin - hard to pull that off in the U.S. Shows real confidence.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:36 PM) :

The Light in Sweden...beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:34 PM) :

um, I had a prom dress just like this - same colors and styling, except mine had sleeves. Prom was back 10 years ago. Neat how things come back around.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:47 PM) :

i love the proportions of this outfit. the bulk beige, followed by the thin strip of black at the top. it is like the old photographer's ratio of 2/3 to 1/3. very attractive outfit!

Blogger Gretta said ... (4:47 PM) :

OH! I lovethislovethis lu-huuuuv this!
And I don't say that a lot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:56 PM) :

This is wonderful!

I will say again, the Sweden photos are my all-time favorites. Last trip and this one.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:12 PM) :

WOW! Yes, she is a vision! I COVET the skirt. Anybody know where it's from?

Blogger tanya said ... (8:50 PM) :

some may like the mirroring of bows on her shoes and then on her waist, but i actually look out for that when i'm dressing up and try to avoid it. at most, i'd probably put the bows of my shoes at the back or vice versa.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:21 PM) :

Wow! Beautiful!

Blogger Anastasia said ... (9:26 PM) :

So pretty!! I love how she's wearing an evening look for day! really simple but standout style!!

Blogger Blaise said ... (9:33 PM) :

Sart, what time of the DAY did you catch her? She's just so elegantly lovely, and this was during the day..

Blogger lala said ... (4:10 AM) :

I LOVE the SKIRT ! would love to see it in deeper colours, but the whole look is beautiful ; i love the shoes, all fits perfectly ! i like that its kakhi more casual.
have a nice day all ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:59 AM) :

Oh my god, isn't that the Birkenstock model?

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (9:19 AM) :

That skirt is absolutely beautiful!

Blogger Anhoni Patel said ... (11:00 AM) :

She's like a present waiting to be unwrapped. Sart- the light is amazing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:21 AM) :

The skirt looks exactly like a Joseph one I have, but mine is in black silk - not sure if they did it in other fabrics but maybe. It is a wrap that you can adjust to wear around the hips, waist or bust. Can't see the back of this one so can't see if it's the same.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:32 AM) :

7:12 - i'm pretty sure the dress is the kara janx convertible skirt:

http://www.stylehive.com/bookmark/98273

it comes in a lot of different color combinations. i love them too!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:42 PM) :

What a beautiful dress!!!! I want it absolutly!

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:44 PM) :

What a beautiful dress! I want it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:47 PM) :

Oh, this is such a great look. I'm coveting that skirt!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:46 PM) :

Beautiful!
Amazing

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:16 PM) :

I am not a real fan of the tied up shoes, but her easy off the face hair, and the neutral colours of the top and skirt really help. The sash or the skirt in the beige keeps it noticeable yet in the background. She looks great.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:34 PM) :

The skirt is from Swedish label WHYRED. Check it out on www.whyred.se They do fab stuff!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:48 PM) :

Positively remarkable

I know, I think it´s boring with this symmetrical poufy 2007 fashion thing, you can find it in every hm here. and a lot of stockholm girls wear it.

still, that´s not swedish fashion, it´s just a part of it.

also, the sartorialist prefer to cover the more tailored look.

a lot of sthlm girls LOOK boring, but we also have A LOT REAL alternative clothing and people.

unfortunately the Sartorialist never covers this, but that´s just his thing.

Blogger boho*céline said ... (9:46 AM) :

beautifull

Blogger nidyawiguno said ... (6:13 AM) :
