i like her face, the red lips. she's cute.
but her clothes .... ayayay!
the shoes are a mess and i hope that tight, fake leather pants will never ever be in fashion again.

Blogger The Sartorialist said ... (6:22 PM) :

Laurita editha
the pants are not leather
and could you elaborate on the mess of her shoes?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:34 PM) :

i love her look! great sweater

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:35 PM) :

those are latex-tights.. very in style in stockholm ;)

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:36 PM) :

I really like that jacket! It looks familiar too.

Blogger Andy said ... (6:42 PM) :

She's phenomenal. Is she a model? She has the subtle edgy elegance of one.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:48 PM) :

she looks so runway...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:52 PM) :

Woah. Hard to pull off leather pants, but she looks cute.

Blogger Eli said ... (6:56 PM) :

I love this so much I want to cry. The sweet face on this girl, and the contrast of snug pants on thin legs with the loose shirt is just fantastic. I look at this blog for the great photos of people not so much fashion but this photo really highlights to me how clothes really can make the person. Terrific work as always!

Blogger Danielle said ... (7:03 PM) :

the pants look like the black lame leggings from american apparel.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:03 PM) :

Such a great, youthful take on architectural dressing! It's just subversive enough to be interesting but not irritating.

Blogger The Spicers said ... (7:03 PM) :

Latex leggings! Love it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:15 PM) :

I love the sweater. I used to wear them like that back in the 80's when I was her age, along with the skinny pants. No longer have the lower body for them, however. sigh.

Blogger Kiki said ... (7:16 PM) :

I really do not get the shoes comment?

The whole look is pretty streamlined (you can hardly see the shoes) and I think it works.

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (7:16 PM) :

Fantastic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:28 PM) :

Yowsah, that is one hot outfit! How is it possible that she looks so feminine and masculine all at the same time?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:52 PM) :

i love the pants/leggings! i envy anyone who can pull those off.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:53 PM) :

Looks like latex to me and it looks good and it is fashion.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:15 PM) :

thats definately original!

Blogger Stewart said ... (8:28 PM) :

just passed a look-alike here in Adelaide complete with zip and latex but red hair

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:31 PM) :

Are the pants attached to the boots?!? Is this one of those fetish ensembles dressed down for the day?

If so, I actually like it!

mltt

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:41 PM) :

She manages to look delicate and fearsome at the same time.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:25 PM) :

Love it! The legs make it and the tights work because they are paired with a loose sweater and a sweet face. Am seriously loving these Stockholm pictures. They're taking me back to my 1980s high school days...but in a good way.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:48 PM) :

So great!!! Love the pants!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:01 PM) :

If you are as pretty as she is and have her body shape-it all works. If not, well forget it.

Blogger MARIA H said ... (11:51 PM) :

progressive assertion through female warrior , sooo fantastically scandinavian

Blogger Françoise said ... (12:03 AM) :

She is very pretty. I like the combo of the skinny leggings and bulky top. I like her style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:12 AM) :

totally different, don't think I would ever wear it but it's definitely cool, inspiring and fantastic! good job!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:21 AM) :

What mess??!! The entire outfit is so fabulous I can't breathe. The pants are latex and the shoes or boots (I can't tell) extend that look and those enviable legs. Two thumbs way up. These Swedes are so gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:30 AM) :

gorgeous

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:13 AM) :

Incredibly beautiful ... but her face is too romantic for this space age last-season-Balenciaga look. She'd look just perfect in a mini girly floral frock with platforms and a huge Chloe bag.

Blogger - said ... (3:44 AM) :

she looks great in hte pvc leggings

Blogger kichi said ... (3:46 AM) :

I absolutely love it. And those are indeed latex, very trendy in Stockholm at the moment :)

I love seeing your photos from Stockholm, as I can relate to the fashion more (even though it's always nice and interesting to see what people are wearing across the Atlantic and in southern Europe). Thanks!

Blogger Oana Perca said ... (3:47 AM) :

I like the cut of the coat/sweater, very modern.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:00 AM) :

She is pulling that look of very well and she has a beautiful face.

Sart while you are in Sweden give us a visit in Denmark:-)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:47 AM) :

I can see how people who don't live in Sweden find this outfit really cool and all, but after reading on 1000 blogs, 27364 magasines and anywhere else you can read about fashion, those latex pants just don't seem so interesting anymore. I'm sorry, she's a good-looking girl and all, but there's nothing creative about this look.

Blogger lala said ... (5:50 AM) :

i dont know about latex but i liked the leather leggings that was once featured in vogue, some shop in NY cant remember where. Also i found some in Derek Lam,fall collection. Would think of pairing it with a different top maybe a dress if its not too cold.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:57 AM) :

Sart, Thank you so much for all this. By reading you every day my taste has developed and even my mother which has always criticized me now loves the way I dress!
Just because I learn from your pictures and the comments of all the people the post in here!
Thanks thanks thanks!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:02 AM) :

It would be interesting to see you compare the Ostermalm fashion with the Sodermalm fashion. For an ex Stockholmer like myself, the differences are massive, but as an outsider, Sart, what sets them apart and where do they connect?

Blogger Poochie said ... (7:32 AM) :

Danielle,

I thought those might be the same American Apparel leggings as well.

Blogger Style Salvage Steve said ... (8:41 AM) :

She certainly has the legs to carry off the latex leggings. I've seen it poorly done but this is great! Combined with the looser fitting sweater the whole outfit really works. The zip is perfect but I'd like to see more!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:15 AM) :

It is the look of the moment for sure, but the textural contrasts and the white diagonal line are unique touches.

Blogger Elizabeth said ... (11:04 AM) :

So right.

The proportions are So Right.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:12 AM) :

this girl is like fifteen years old but still so cool. amazing

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:22 AM) :

She looks like a superhero! I love the photos on this site, and they always make me determined to hit the gym before I go shopping.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:58 AM) :

She reminds me of Audrey Tautou from Amelie. She looks inhibited and a bit awkward, yet extraordinarily gorgeous.

Blogger The HQ Duo said ... (12:02 PM) :

Very new Chloe (ie Chloe Fall 07)
This girl has already got it down pat!

Blogger whyioughtta said ... (12:38 PM) :

I've been really skeptical of the 80s revival over the last few years, but this is "like totally awesome" (can you tell I was there the first time around?). It's a modern take. Love her confidence.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:42 PM) :

laurita editha!
fake/real leather pants are so in fashion right now!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:31 PM) :

Hmm, funnily enough this picture reminds me of the helmet debate. I think if this beautiful girl topped off her outfit with a glossy black helmet and a bike underneath, she'd be showing us how to do safe bikes right, not to mention those fabulous leggings.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:37 PM) :

i love latex-leggins! it's so hot. i also really like her loose shirt, the chain kind of makes the shirt. oversize mixed with tight is something i really think looks good in clothing.

personally i wouldn't want to wear all black, at least not nowadays, i'm really sick of the fact that the majority of swedish people almost only wear black/grey/white/dark blue clothes. it feels like many people are afraid of wearing clothes that stands out. we swedes are kind of famous for our minimalistic style i think.. it's just not so me.

anyway, colours or not, this girl has a great outfit!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:46 PM) :

Tights from Ida Sjöstedt

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:44 PM) :

@atheniangirl, 3:13AM:

if i see another girl in a "mini girly floral frock with platforms and a huge Chloe bag" i'm going to scream.

sure that is a darling outfit, but your idea of perfect is boring, for a lack of a better word.

this girl inspires.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:55 PM) :

Just wanted to say, great pictures. Keep up the excellent work!

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (9:29 PM) :

American Apparel.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:54 AM) :

I believe this is something of a typical Swedish look. Very easy to put together but really hard to actually look good in. She looks fab because of her skinny legs (the look wouldn't work on a chubby girl) and because she has a cute face (if you're not cute- don't try it).

Blogger Natalie Hughes said ... (6:16 AM) :

If I'm not mistaken, those gorgeous PVC pants are Les Chiffoniers. Love them on her.

Blogger Anhoni Patel said ... (10:58 AM) :

Is she vacuum-packed into those? =). I think she looks great.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:46 PM) :

Would have been great to see her try a more metallic pant, have yet to see real life photos of metallic trousers worn effortlessly.

Blogger riz said ... (11:30 AM) :

Wow this is amazing!! Love the great 'vinyl-zip' theme...very industrial but kind of 'over it' at the same time. what an aura...

Blogger Laurita:Editha said ... (5:42 AM) :

@ sart and everyone else: i see it now, the pants are not leather but latex. anyway, it's too much plastic.
and the plateau shoes are so 90's ...
you should go back to baiscs, to clean, natural stuff.
cotton, silk, wool, linen, ...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:03 AM) :

I saw you took a picture of this girls friend I think she was eating on an apple? am I right? where is she?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:50 PM) :

oh my, isnt that valentina mazzaglia?

Blogger boho*céline said ... (9:48 AM) :

the pants are GREAT
