Wow. Fabulous hommes! What a nice way to start the day.

Makes me proud to be a Swed!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:18 AM) :

ahhh, swedish men. such great style, such beauty. makes me wish i was there again...

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (10:33 AM) :

Oooh, I love the white shirt/tan trousers. The stark contrast is great.

Blogger Priscilla I'Anson said ... (10:37 AM) :

Avid reader, first-time poster.

That first subject is, in my humble opinion, the finest specimen man these eyes have ever seen. I usually find the combination of black and brown to be boring and drab, but with his cheekbones, complexion, and the lustrous colour of his hair, he makes it work.

Keep up the wonderful photography! You give me something to look forward to each day.

Yeah, these guys look different. The top one looks more native, the lower one could be British. The colors of the trees and grass look Scandinavian.

Blogger ricpic said ... (11:01 AM) :

The young man in the white shirt has commanding presence and more than a passing resemblance to the late Ingmar Bergman.
I wish more young people would jettison the dark palette in summer.

Blogger rodkoerner said ... (11:08 AM) :

i digg the first guy's style! but: imho he'd be better off with a white shirt

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:15 AM) :

swedish men look so much healthier than NYC men... once you get out of the city you realize that we all have a grey- greenish pallor.
scandinavian men are so ...... wow.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:18 AM) :

does anybody knowy what shoes the young man below wears? (the white shoes)

Blogger Bobby D. said ... (11:32 AM) :

the plaid shorts (top) are my fave shorts for a guy--ever-- they really look good and the fit him.

Blogger Butch said ... (11:33 AM) :

Top figure nicely androgynous.

The universality of a given fashion is truly something to ponder....Does anyone in a post-industrialized land not look like everyone else therefrom? Down to the sneakers?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:42 AM) :

Hmm, they look too richie-rich perfect for my taste. I prefer a little muss and fuss. (Not to mention a bit of a smile in the eyes!)

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (11:46 AM) :

Great looks!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:51 AM) :

clean.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:56 AM) :

I love the lower picture.
I kind of wish he would starch up the entire look to go with the geekchic fully buttoned shirt. tuck it in, neater hair etc etc
but really whatever, he looks fantastic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:09 PM) :

sartorial?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:25 PM) :

The second boy is very cute. I love the way he cuffs both his pants and his shirt sleeves. But I can't help but feel worried about him- are those two black eyes? And he looks quite uncomfortable.

Blogger Amanda said ... (12:45 PM) :

Yep, in Sweden we have well-dressed men!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:51 PM) :

Ahh.I see that you are back. Welcome to Stockholm, again.

Blogger londondog said ... (1:57 PM) :

Lovely jubbly ;-) Especially the first one. Slender and fab. I am not usually a big fan of mid calf shorts on men but with that boy it works a treat. I love his hair too - very River Phoenix

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:57 PM) :

The backgroud of the setting makes the clothes pop!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:38 PM) :

When you're tall and handsome it's hard not to look good, isn't it?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:40 PM) :

Both look great.
Those are perfect guy shorts.

Blogger Eric said ... (4:01 PM) :

One word: swoon

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:32 PM) :

A rare good use of bright white tennis shoes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:08 PM) :

That vest shape + shirt sleeve length in the second picture isn't very flattering.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:35 PM) :

Talk about low-waisted vs. (presumably) "true" waisted. I just can't imagine typical American men wearing Keds-style shoes, can you? I'd kinda like to see how his outfit looks standing up.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:18 PM) :

Does anyone know if I can "mod" my beat-up chucks like the man in the first picture for that no-shoelaces look? How is that done? Is the tongue just sewn to the shoe, or do you have to buy them that way?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:44 PM) :

yeah... I guess. For one thing, tan pants and a white shirt is not a stark contrast. Second the shoes on that guy are just a shame. And the guy in the black top and shorts? C'mon! Just because it's Swedish doesn't make it right. Maybe it's because I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area where we have real style. Now, I won't say that the gentlemen are not handsome, but is this a model search or a style blog?

Blogger Anthony said ... (11:14 PM) :

The first guy looks delicious! I love the sunnies and his very modelesque stance.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:12 AM) :

Oh, wow! I've fallen head over heels for the first man.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:57 AM) :

WHY hasn't anyone pointed out # 2's rad watch it perfectly suits his expression. The dirty keds are a sweet juxtaposition too

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:22 AM) :

White shoes? I'd guess Urban Outfitters in Stockholm. The shoes have hit Sweden in full and are a common sight. Cheap, stylish but very uncomfortable.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:05 AM) :

Åh, Calle! =)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:38 AM) :

oh handsome

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:06 PM) :

mhm! their looks are totally ok but they look like thousands of young men here in stockholm. what is missing is a positive attitude coming trough the picture or a glimmer in the eyes...just two pretty and well dressed guys. well, not so special, isn't it?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:35 PM) :

First pic: Perfect example of man in shorts during summer. It's sexy casual.

Second pic: He looks like a hospital orderly.

mltt

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:52 AM) :

I see absolutely nothing out of the ordinary with guy # 1, it's basically the way every guy here in Sweden dresses. And I hate the hair.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:29 AM) :

The white shoes are plimsoles made by a company called Dek. Depending on where you buy them from they can be extremely cheap to overpriced. The trend is getting pretty tired now and you can hardly move without seeing them on the street. They are great with any outfit, and anybody can wear them, even American men.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:01 PM) :

Those plimsolls may be yesterday's news in Europe, but I sure hope they make their way over here to the US (our fashion always seems to be 1 year behind Europe, and here in Seattle, we're 2 years behind everyone else! I'm just sick and tired of guys wearing clunky thick soled cross trainers, chunky skate shoes, and 'moon boot' basketball sneakers. Those plimsolls are light simple and sophisticated. The only problem is that they look like womens's Keds, and the average American man is way too sexually insecure to wear anything that he feels may be construed as remotely 'feminine'. And the market for the few American men with any sense of style may be too small the be profitable
