Comments on "On the Street......Femme, Stockholm!!"
Just when I thought I'd never want or need another LBD ever again, I see this one! It's simply gorgeous in all its simplicity!
She fit's the image of the 20's flapper girl.
I don't normally comment on women's posts, but that skirt's amazing.
Wow - fabulous!! All three. Such different looks and they are all so good! Love the short hair on the high-waisted tan pants. And that last dress is wonderful!
Genius. That first skirt is sublime. I am usually not drawn to leather skirts, as the stitching always seems to make the structure too stiff for my liking, but in this case the garment looks like it would flow beautifully. Fantastic!
I think girls 2 and 3 are `posing´too much, and this disturbs me.The surroundings for the pictures are nice though. Girl 1 is quite ok,but her skirt should be longer.
Love the last look! So beautiful, femenine and chic! Fantastic!
YOU'RE IN STOCKHOLM!!!
finally, haha.
hope you'll find some really nice outfits to shoot
What I love about these women is that each conveys a unique personality in her posture. For instance, the first two look a bit inhibited (and portray this is different ways) and the last looks completely carefree and relaxed. And yet all three are beautiful women in beautiful clothes.
The third one sure looks amazing, so simple...
how come the swedish are cooler than everyone?
To the Sartorialist: I enjoy your commentary. What do you find interesting about the middle outfit? The attitude?
love this!
The woman in the short leather skirt successfully tones it down with flat sandals and minimal hair and makeup. Great contrast.
And I love the smoky drop-waist dress in the last photo: beautiful girl!
I love it I love it I love it!
I whistled out loud when I saw this photo...
I will repeat my suggestion that you add video to this blog. Not for every subject, but surely for one of this caliber. I'd love to see how those pleats move.

The girl wearing the jacket and trousers looks absolutely fabulous! Great proportions and colors. Cool jacket.
The first woman looks marvelous. The sandals with that skirt length are perfect.
I'm still finding the high waisted pants difficult to get used to. To my eye, even on this slender woman they just look odd and unflattering.
And all these women definitely have an attitude that strikes me as European.
Wow, the charcoal dress in the third picture is amazing! I love everything about it. The girl wearing it is sublime too. She is a dead ringer for the woman who played Mel Gibson's ill-fated bride in "Braveheart."
I love this blog!! I live in Brazil and I came here to know what to wear on the next season...kisses
those pants look like mom pants...they are going too far...but all else is gorge.
re: the middle photo, who would have thought that the office mom look could be co-opted by swedish hipsters? Those pants are all kinds of grotesque, but improbably she pulls them off. When I saw this I went "wow" "ewww" and "huh?" all at the same time. No easy feat :)
damn the swedish! do they have ban on ugly people, or what?
I'm Swedish all the ladies look nice. The girl in the 2nd photo has her pants a little to high *lol* It's so much better a style then the perception we all live ina gingerbread house and have reindeer
sart, all beautiful photos period
I appreciate ironic style, subversive style, and fresh or revisited perspectives, but I still think those high-waisted pants typically make a woman look less feminine and create unflattering proportions. They highlight the lower half of a woman's stomach, which is, by nature, every woman's problem area. And from the back!! Pear-shaped pancake butt is usually not a look to which women (or men) are drawn. These pants make curvy women appear more bottom-heavy and, strangely, hip-less women look more vertical. And if there's any presence of a saddle bag, well, be prepared to flaunt it. My eye is always immediately drawn to the mile-long fly region, and I just think it's a strange area to showcase. Perhaps it's just a really honest style, since these "flaws" are uniquely female, and I am open to giving my eye time to adjust. But this is one look I am just not brave enough to attempt myself. For the most part, I still try to dress myself in a way that accentuates my greatest traits, and downplays my imperfections. As I would put cover-up on a zit, rather than just rock it. Maybe that's my true flaw.
#3 is perfection...
if anyone knows where that last dress is from PLEASE let me know!!
Love it - especially the androgynous looks of the second woman.
The first lady is so reminiscent of a ballerina posing, I think if her skirt were any longer, it would go overboard in volume!
The second comes off as a huge femenist; very powerful in those pants, commands your attention definitely.
Sart, do you ever get a chance to talk to your subjects about their style? The subject's viewpoint would add SO much!
I've gone off wearing skirts/dresses these last few years, but I really want to own that third one.
Even just to hang it on my wall.
It's a beautiful object.

i feel like i have been so negative towards your selections recently. it is as if your direction changed. HOWEVER, #3 is amazing. she looks fantastic. that outfit and the way she is carrying it would cause a car accident. i don't know what you liked about #2. as for #3, again, i'm not sure what you are appreciating here--do you have some good memories of the 80's perhaps? because i've been over the 80's since 1987 NEXT !
I think the dress (#3) might be from Hugo Boss.
Middle girl is amazing, high waist might be a fad but she pulls it off. Or up?
nobody in these snaps seems afraid of black in summer do they?
I love love love the second look!
Number 2 is incredibly sexy.
Pic01: Not feeling it --> sandals
Pic02: Androgyny? Not quite, IMO.
Pic03: Lovely proportions but dislike the shoes
mltt
Love the top and bottom gals, but the middle one looks like my frumpy step-mother!
Doesn't #2 have the 'love it or hate it' look? Personally, I'm so turned on by it! Everything above the ankles says 'suburban professional woman, but add the white plimsolls [plus that 'come hither' look] and it says 'yes, I have to work for a living, but I still know how to PLAY! Are you game?'
Sorry folks, but white footwear, especially where it doesn't necessarily belong, equals FUN! #2 is HOT! End of story.
again, I don´t get people. the second is RAWKING. the 40s pants are smashing and downright hot and I would carry them anyday and still look like one hot mama. thx /swede
I seriously think swedes are bit slutty with our looks, in a good way, that is why we can pull some things off. i think that comes with a socialist and in the same time very allowing and liberal society that makes us confused ( in our identities) and daring in the same time.
