Guess Who I Ran Into....Nacho

I was doing some pre-fashion week shopping at Polo (with my camera in tow) and as I was leaving I ran into Nacho.

I almost didn't recognize him without the cap ( I guess I didn't realize he had so much hair)
Today Style.com posted more photos from my weekend trip to the polo match in Bridgehampton.

Blogger Laguna Beach Fogey said ... (5:37 PM) :

Great photo. This is standard polo player attire. I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a polo shirt at Polistas or La Martina later this month.

When I attended polo matches at Guards and Greenwich, the typical polo spectator uniform (for men) seemed to be blazer (or lightweight sports jacket), chinos, open necked dress shirt, and loafers. Standards today seem to have devolved a little.

Nice layout at Style.com. I see Kirk Miller of Barker Black is wearing his famous pink shirt again.

Blogger MacGuffin said ... (5:59 PM) :

In my next life, I want to look like him...

Blogger MARIA H said ... (6:14 PM) :

Viva Argentina! equestrian is the southamerican glam.

Blogger Habitually Chic said ... (6:25 PM) :

I went to the Polo match 2 weekends ago while in the Hamptons and I couldn't believe how well dressed and stylish everyone was. There was so much to look at including Nacho. He's so beautiful! You couldn't take your eyes off of him!

Blogger Butch said ... (6:51 PM) :

My god!

Blogger Cappuccino Girl said ... (6:54 PM) :

a big hurrah for equestrian fashion!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:58 PM) :

gorgeous argentinian polo player, model of RL.

Blogger positively the same dame said ... (7:04 PM) :

don't particularly care for that whole silly scene, but nacho is undeniably striking.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:10 PM) :

Wow, what a gaze. This guy looks like he'd break my heart, but I'd still leap at the chance if he looked at me that way.

Blogger Danielle said ... (8:09 PM) :

Wow, wow, wow! Kirk Miller looks fantastic as always and polo players are super hot. I dare say that David Lauren needs a tan, though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:53 PM) :

Its sooo funny!!! This model has the exact same expression on his face in all of his photos! I could just picture him an all situations with that stone-faced look!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:16 PM) :

wow. He's even better looking than Prince Charles!

Sart, You were given an honorable mention in the local newspaper today.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:31 PM) :

Oh my, Sart, I am certainly jealous. Black Watch is definitely the best dressed polo team out there (and the best looking).

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:40 PM) :

is that the ralph lauren model?

Blogger Anthony said ... (11:22 PM) :

Woof!! Polo is such a HOT sport.. Looks like I'll be booking tickets to the next event in Melbourne.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:18 AM) :

Wow-he looks so masculine.I especially love the horses in the background.Would be thrilled to see them closer.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:20 AM) :

this handsome guy look rather familiar. was he the face for one of the polo ralph fragrances? the one with the black bottle?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:30 AM) :

In my next life, I wan't to be married to him.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:31 AM) :

That's hot.

Blogger Stratos Bacalis said ... (6:15 AM) :

Great photo. I always drool over polo players (either the horse variety or the water one, LOL). The equestrian style is always great to look at. And it shows from the fact that a polo sport clothing store opened in Greece (Mykonos I think?) when barely a handful of Greeks have even heard of the game, let alone play any.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:45 AM) :

AAAhhh! Nacho Figueras is so hot - especially dressed like a man. Ralph puts him in some darn rediculous outfits like some gangster latino or something. This is the way he looks!!!

Blogger Annika said ... (7:13 AM) :

Excellent! Now...how about more pictures of beautiful men in tight, white pants, eh? ;)

Blogger whyioughtta said ... (8:12 AM) :

Achi-wawa. Que baccalao.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:22 AM) :

Sart,

Golf Magazine of all places has a great section this month on the evolution of golf attire over the last 100 years. From tweeds and shirts and ties to high tech mock turtle necks. Many good photos. The picture of Arnold Palmer from the 50's will have the trads drooling. Worth a look.

Blogger spring flowers said ... (9:18 AM) :

beautiful man with a beautiful family. I could stare at him all day...

Blogger Jessica deLeeuw said ... (9:24 AM) :

MUAH!!!! Wow... amazing style on an amazing guy!

Blogger Richie Designs said ... (12:39 PM) :

OMG In my next life I want to be married to him...
I'd even settle for a summer fling.

hubba hubba

Blogger Marnee said ... (2:12 PM) :

I think I need to start going to polo matches.

Blogger Sandrina said ... (4:04 PM) :

For two years I've had a crush on Nacho, ever since I saw the campaign for Polo Black feauturing him one late christmas night at a department store here in Sweden.

That man is gorgeous, God bless him!

Great pictures from Stockholm this week, thank you Scott - keep up the good work!

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:17 PM) :

He is beyond gorgeous! YUM!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:04 PM) :

does anyone know the brand of these pants? i was thinking ralph lauren, but on their internet site, i cannot find anything like it.

Blogger jazzgirl said ... (11:21 PM) :

Yowza!
(Are those traditional 5 pocket white denims? )

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:04 AM) :

Wow!! Is he listed in the phone book?! GORGEOUS!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:18 AM) :

Does this guy actually play polo--or is he just posing as a player for a Polo-brand ad?

Blogger KK said ... (11:26 AM) :

so.incredibly.attractive.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:47 AM) :

Oh lordy! Argentinian men..every one of them I know is a dandy and...dangerous

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:21 AM) :

Ignacio "Nacho" Figueras is probably the most good looking polo player since Adolfo Cambiasso.
His wife is also beautiful (Delfina Blaquier) and they have two kids I believe...
Ralph Lauren was right on target when choosing him for his ads.
Bravo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:08 PM) :

In my next life, I want to marry him!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS, very, very good looking!!!

Blogger Asi Mod said ... (6:15 PM) :

Hubba! Hubba! Hubba!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:53 PM) :

polo men!Nacho Figueras! amazing! Another argentinian who is incredibly handsome is Adolfo Cambiasso! I love them!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:30 PM) :

Nice, but if you can't find the RL shirts, the popular shirt at the palm beach polo club for WEF this year was from vicomte arthur.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:44 AM) :

He wears that whistle well. Please tell me he's short - men like this need some disadvantage in life just to level out the playing field for the rest of us.

Blogger lisa said ... (9:18 AM) :

now that's a MAN!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:21 AM) :

He urgently needs to press his suit and show a little more cuff.

Blogger Landis said ... (9:55 AM) :

i thought jack black did a GREAT homage to him in that movie. though he didn't look quite as good in tights.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:44 AM) :

Is that the church on Park Ave. & 85th Street? I'd bet anything it is.

Interesting how the bespoke single breasted suits frequently have the peaked lapel to show they are custom made.

He looks great, of course. Nice silhouette and very tailored. Disagree with comment on having the suit pressed. Maybe steamed, but not pressed. Kills the fabric, doncha know.

Blogger Posted by Thefashionist.se said ... (11:06 AM) :

Well done Scott!

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (11:49 AM) :

He has such a great hair!

Blogger whyioughtta said ... (11:50 AM) :

I said it before and I'll say it again: Achiwawa.

I like the pinstripes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:52 AM) :

*swoon*

Blogger The Spicers said ... (12:28 PM) :

He would look good in anything, but I like the sophisticated navy/black combo in the suit and tie.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:53 PM) :

Oh please like anyone is looking at the wrinkles in his suit - swoon swoon....

Blogger Butch said ... (12:54 PM) :

Nacho (was he named after the snack food?) looks great in his polo rig, but he--or his tailor--needs to refigure his suit jacket, I'd say.

To wit, the sleeves are too narrow, thus causing serious wrinkling, and the garment itself is a mite too short.

But you wouldn't push him off his steed, would you?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:42 PM) :

Yawn city!!!
big deal!, his suit is too small and not the right cut either.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:34 PM) :

how brilliant? he matched the paper bag with his blue suit?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:48 PM) :

Dead drop gorgeous.

Blogger FeiraChic said ... (2:51 PM) :

I am sort of glad I never ran into this guy.
He is sooo gorgeous I am not sure what my reaction would be...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:23 PM) :

He looks good in both outfit, but I prefer the tight polo uniform. :-)

Blogger B said ... (3:40 PM) :

Oh my. He is a beauty.

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:50 PM) :

He is still gorgeous ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:55 PM) :

Didn't appreciate the polo pic when it first came 'round but DAMN it's his contrasting outfits/lifestyle that makes him so hella-sexy right now.

mltt

Blogger Karina Cifuentes said ... (4:34 PM) :

I don't know much about Polo, but this guy makes it worth looking into!

Blogger Ottoman Empire said ... (5:46 PM) :

OOOHH! Thank you for posting this! What is Ignacio's handicap now? 8?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:57 AM) :

He is sooooo HOT!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:29 AM) :

impeccable. although standards have relaxed, I rather enjoy the current look of 'contemporary relaxed cool' we are enjoying. And let's be fair, several years ago sport coats were no where to be found, so the revival of formality and pride in menswear is quite refreshing.

Blogger MARIA H said ... (11:40 AM) :

Nacho is the nick name for Ignacio. Yeah, there's a food dish with the same name, but pleease, get your spanish facts right -reductive logic is so passe-. Nacho embodies a type, that is like the pinnacle of style regardless of the cut of the suit.

Blogger Pumpkin Man said ... (11:56 AM) :

Nacho con queso!!!

Hot and Yummy!!!

I want to EAT him!!!

Little-Pumpkin

Blogger DJ FunkyGrrL said ... (1:10 PM) :

He has looks of a model, something one would see in GQ magazine

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:58 PM) :

Grande Nacho!Trolazo amigo. Pachu de Argentina.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:36 PM) :

again, i question the sartorial inspiration.
i think the majority of the comments you received from this photo kinda sum up why i question.
so i ask the question again: are you suggesting that natural born good looks equate good sartorial style (or as you say "inspiration")?

Blogger Matty said ... (4:20 PM) :

gorgeous. why does his jacket look like it needs to be taken in a couple inches? one would assume the RL tailors keep him looking taut and trim...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:23 PM) :

The suit is wrinkled because its linen and does not need to be pressed (thats what linen does). Its actually a Purple Label suit from the summer collection and NOT bespoke. The shirt and tie is a bit too trendy but he looks 9 times better then the average american.

On another note, the polo rugby stuff is so ugly and overbranded.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:56 PM) :

So GORGEOUS !

Blogger Style Salvage Steve said ... (6:06 PM) :

He looks more at home wearing his polo outfit. It's a shame that his suit is a touch on the small side for his athletic stature. He still makes me feel less of a man though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:26 PM) :

Is Nacho this dude's real name? What a hoot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:36 PM) :

I see fashion as part of the whole culture. For those who think the world starts at N.Y. and ends at L.A., U.S.A.(nothing against) and it pop culture is not the reference for all, Nacho is a short version of the very popular spanish name Ignacio(Italian Ignazio), also the name of the Jesuit order(Or the Society of Jesus) founder Saint Ignatius Loyola.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:35 PM) :

I'm dying for those looks

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:29 AM) :

surely its st james church just south of the polo flagship/rhinelander mansion? i love the way regular commenters get snooty as soon as its a ralph model & uptow is foreign to most . youre right theres the upper east side & then theres everywhere else in 212.
10021 forever baby. holla.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:42 PM) :

There's something wrong with the suit, imo. Makes his shoulders look narrow and his hips wide. The polo uniform pic look is much better - narrows his waist and widens his shoulders.

The suit is nice, but it would be nicer on someone else.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:24 AM) :

Elegant polo player. In France these is the look of the year whit most of La Martina shop open for my pleasur.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:04 AM) :

I'm going insane reading some of these comments---the linen suit fits him perfectly, people. So European, so chic, and so-oooo appreciated as it is molded perfectly to his frame, even though it's off-the-rack, with that sexy linen-crumpling that merits several second glances. Also, there's that slight sheen to the fabric that also highlights the beauty of one's of nature's best creations. The guy wearing it is pretty okay, too!

Blogger OTC said ... (5:08 PM) :

Yep, Nacho is the man. Fantastic suit in the city shot - Polo, I assume?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:03 AM) :

go trust a guy called nacho

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:33 PM) :

UAUUUUU !!!
How gourgeus, is that guy from south america!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:32 PM) :

My god!! He appears too perfect to be real. Amazing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:45 PM) :

hahaha i had never seen him before but my first thought was: "he must be argentinian"
those argentinians are well fit
that's it, i'm moving there:)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:37 PM) :

Made my Day!!!

Blogger Canada said ... (9:18 PM) :

yumm, This frame increases my desire to enjoy all that the Nachos (Latino Gods) of this world have to offer. Stink-you very much for this beatiful momment <3

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:06 PM) :

oh wow! He is one of the most good looking (and well dressed) man I have ever seen...
