I can't see the wild cat, only his delicate features! Very sweet.

Blogger glamour girly said ... (9:04 AM) :

love the leopard tie - looks a bit out-of-place on him, but it works.

Blogger Jennifer said ... (9:04 AM) :

i have a strong strong aversion to leopard print anything and i think this looks outstanding! just unbelievably good.

Blogger Carlene said ... (9:19 AM) :

I am shocked at how much I love this.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:48 AM) :

This look is absolutely genius. LOVE that tie!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:53 AM) :

Oddly, I didn't notice the tie until last. The focus was on "mismatched black."

It's so hard to bring two black pieces together. These two pieces are saved by the symmetry, though.

And more than the tie are the bangles (is that what boys call their bracelets?)

mltt

Blogger Dave said ... (10:04 AM) :

...awesome.

Blogger Françoise said ... (10:08 AM) :

This look works well for him. This guy knows how to dress in a distinctive, unique style that fits him. In fact I find him amazing, I'd turn around to look at him if I saw him in the street.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:10 AM) :

very cool. the the tie, the cuffs, the hair, everything. it seems like he really knows what works for him.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:13 AM) :

Another great pic, from the tie to the expression on his face, I love it from head to toe.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:16 AM) :

This outfit would be very suitable for someone working in a fine restaurant.Even the mans haircut matches his clothes.

Blogger Olimpia Liberti said ... (10:17 AM) :

Love her tie

Blogger The Spicers said ... (10:19 AM) :

He's absolutely beautiful, reminds me of a younger Johnny Depp; charming photo!

Blogger KJ said ... (10:28 AM) :

The one thing I'm not digging is the topstitching on the vest, but then contrasty topstiching is a pet peeve of mine. Otherwise, this looks wonderful (and I love the Johnny Depp thing he's got going on).

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:35 AM) :

This guy is always right. His name is Bart and he is also a wonderful Les Hommes designer. Check out his work or simply look at him, looking back at you and looking fab in the meantime.

Blogger Gudl said ... (10:50 AM) :

Very sharp!

Blogger Ma lei! said ... (11:11 AM) :

The tie is perfect!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:22 AM) :

I love the lapels on his vest - they really complete the look.

slh

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:42 AM) :

this gentleman demonstrates the ability to juxtapose a sliver of wow against such a simple and naturally classic outfit. excellent!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:54 AM) :

is that the prada tie from several seasons back?
love it!

Blogger mommytherobot.blogspot.com said ... (11:57 AM) :

his stoic gaze in contrast to such a wild print makes for interesting parallels. one of my favorite photos yet!

Blogger Nora said ... (11:59 AM) :

I can't believe I've never seen a leopard print tie before - it's a revelation! Especially in the understated, even restrained context of the rest of his outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:00 PM) :

1980's revival?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:42 PM) :

*swoon*

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:43 PM) :

Nice touch. Hurrah for the rolled up sleeves!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:10 PM) :

great portrait. He looks from another era, in a good way. Not in a, trying too hard way. Very smooth

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:16 PM) :

He must be fun. The contrast between the leopard print and his extremely gentle and refined demeanor, not to mention the rest of his outfit, is touching and funny. A would-be leopard, if only he could stop being sensitive all the time. :)

Blogger dnqcnn said ... (1:27 PM) :

wow
can i order him

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:37 PM) :

can I marry this man? He would be a great addition to my collection. I LOVE his face and pleated pants.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:47 PM) :

These pants are a bit too Chess King, don't you think?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:50 PM) :

I love it! Great find!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:51 PM) :

the whole thing....sooo well done.

Blogger Lily said ... (1:51 PM) :

Gary Oldman chic

Blogger jasmine said ... (2:29 PM) :

what a striking photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:51 PM) :

Love the funky tie - very unexpected and provides a glimpse of what lies beneath that serious surface!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:57 PM) :

This is Prada from last Fall, I believe. I have this tie also.

I also wear it with more traditional colors and cuts, say, a navy, pin strip, 3-button suit with a white shirt. The animal print and width of the tie have so much character that the rest of the outfit can be lo-key.

Love his vest, also.

Blogger Elizabeth said ... (3:06 PM) :

The only use of animal print not punishable by law.

Blogger chalkboards said ... (3:26 PM) :

Sort of reminds me of a Johnny Depp type style. Is there a Johnny Depp type style?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:38 PM) :

I like the vest- lapels on a vest that's an original.

But the look is bad, like bar tender at rain forest cafe bad.

Try shooting a pocket square in a waistcoat. That looks good. Waistcoat and shorts is a good look too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:41 PM) :

Love it! God I love waistcoats. And bracelets on men.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:49 PM) :

I'm quite curious, how can a guy look good without dressing up this much, especially as it is summer. Down the page you'll see countless sundresses and t-shirted women. What's the equivalent for men, I don't believe its a vest or a pair of high waisted trousers.

Ideas?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:07 PM) :

Wow! That kind of took my breath away...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:25 PM) :

wow,a rocking wild contemporary charlot! love it, the tie, the pants, the vest, the moustache!I am in love!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:33 PM) :

M-E-O-W... now if only boys would dress that cute where i live!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:52 PM) :

love his hair. and the collar edges. also his trousers, not to mention his earring.

Blogger londondog said ... (5:06 PM) :

Slimmer and more melancholic Johnny Depp - don't you think?

I LOVE the trousers!

Blogger zuccotto said ... (6:48 PM) :

Bartender at rainforest bad? Oh, to meet that bartender in a rainforest.. he probably converses amusingly.

The whole construct works for me, well described by others already. Very cool.

Blogger upupandaway said ... (7:08 PM) :

I love his presence in this photo. Almost scared. This is one of my favorite shots. Hurrah for capturing moments and sharing.

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:17 PM) :

just totally loving it.

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:25 PM) :

somehow the carefully rolled sleve, and his bracelets really bring it to another level. loving it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:36 PM) :

pants are way too big, he looks puzzled.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:48 PM) :

this photo is the funniest i have ever seen on your website - in the best way possible. this guy clearly has a wonderful sense of humor. and the look on his face is so serious, so deadpan - i'm dying here. i love it! one of the most sophisticated uses of wit and humor in an outfit that i've ever seen.

Blogger Secret Agent said ... (9:49 PM) :

Fierce tie! He looks very cool.

Blogger hyacoda said ... (10:33 PM) :

johnny depp-esque

Blogger Zeph Colombatto said ... (10:39 PM) :

Brillient!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:57 PM) :

Wow this is such a turn on!! I had a guy wear a tie like this at my prom this year and I couldn't keep my eyes off him!!

Blogger Kitsan said ... (11:49 PM) :

wow... yeah it's the tie... nice.

Blogger Le Raconteur said ... (3:44 AM) :

Now THERE'S something I don't see every day. Why haven't I thought of that!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:54 AM) :

His style is individualized perfection.

Blogger DeepBlueSea said ... (8:00 AM) :

Wonderful combination of fun and formal. Inspirational!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:46 AM) :

Where's the vest from?

Blogger Tafelspitz said ... (11:27 AM) :

His looks remind me on John Galliano, just that JG would never wear this. Either waistcoat to tight (especially under the arms) or pants too baggy. Animal print tie on such a boring shirt does not make it for me, even that his sleeves are rolled up. Besides, what is the appropriate size of rolled up sleeves? Showing the ellbows? I don´t think so ...

Blogger MDelin said ... (12:44 PM) :

the poor guy needs a long and good nights sleep it seems. But a nice outfit and it feels very appropriate to him as a person.

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:10 PM) :

Does he remind anyone else of a young Salvador Dali?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:24 AM) :

...one of the best flix ever dear sart...

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:55 AM) :

love the cut of those trousers!

Blogger Disneyrollergirl.net said ... (5:33 PM) :

He totally rocks. Unique but not OTT which is rare in this day and age, no?

Blogger Misterparticular said ... (2:22 PM) :

yeah, the pants do seem a bit full, and I'm not a big fan of contrast stiching but the tie really makes the look--and I excised every last drop of animal print from our house formery owned by Carrie donovan.

Blogger vladimir maiakovski said ... (11:36 AM) :

lovely!

salvador dalí is alive!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:54 PM) :

Love the whole look, esp. the tie. Meow.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:13 PM) :

This is the most beautiful man ive ever seen.
