love that hair, love the glasses, love the dress, but somehow i cannot friend with that roman sandals.
they are very in now, I know, but somehow they cut the legs over the ankle. You need really endless and very skinny legs to look great with them....and a toga :-)

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (10:03 AM) :

Fabulous!!!! I love the simple shift, gamine cut combined with simple but exaggerated accessories/features - buttons, large hoop earrings, sunglasses and the chunky sandals. Wow!

Pardon, but I have to correct you: it's not about that chic Zara dress; it's about that chic Sara dress, that hair, these shades, these earrings AND those shoes! Perfection!

Blogger phoenix said ... (10:51 AM) :

I love this look. She looks so comfortable - the material is casual but the details in this A-line dress (the buttons, pockets) make it a touch dressy and just this side of trendy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:57 AM) :

I like her sandals! I wonder where she got them???

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:59 AM) :

It's not just the dress, it's the sandals, sunglasses, earrings, short cut, cell phone in one hand, documents in the other... There's so much to learn here.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:03 AM) :

I don't find this dress flattering at all!

Lovely dress!

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:25 PM) :

Don't you find this look incredible for its reinterpretation of 1960s chic?

Totally mod. Reminds me of the way my mom and her friends dressed in the day!

i saw you walking in soho yesterday on broadway. i was star struck!

Loopy! Lots and lots of loops, on a very simple background. Well-balanced combination, tres chic!

Blogger Jennifer said ... (2:03 PM) :

hooray for short hair.

Blogger JO said ... (3:16 PM) :

Love her dress with the shoes - PREFECT

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:18 PM) :

She's very chic, but what I love most about this shot is the background. Great photo!

Blogger boo hazard said ... (4:32 PM) :

those sandals are from 9 west, and on sale for $50!! I actually tried them on but didnt get them....now i'm regretting it!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:39 PM) :

She's got it together!

Blogger missx said ... (4:50 PM) :

Her hair is outstanding.

PS- When I don't get enough Sartorialist, I make a trip to MoMA. The way the girls dress is inspirational. (Not so much for the guys. Except, once in a while, you'll see a curator floating around looking like a gentleman among scruffy hipsters.)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:30 PM) :

Yes, very chic and comfy at the same time. I'm heavy into the mod look myself. The sandals really complete this look but I agree with diana's point that roman sandals are not for everyone, although this particular woman wears them well.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:42 PM) :

Yes! We wore "pantdresses" back then, which is what this sort of looks like from this angle. Ha, pantdresses! http://tinyurl.com/2fmkat

They're a bit goofy.

Textbook on how to do the 60s mini. Pixie hair, big sunglases gladiator sandals - fabulous!

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:37 AM) :

a little 70s YSL vibe. zara? cool. :)

Blogger Asi Mod said ... (1:30 AM) :

Very chic and summery. I'm surprise that dress is from Zara. It looks more like something from Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Love the gladiator sandals too.

Blogger Stratos Bacalis said ... (7:22 AM) :

Absolutely brilliant. The modern take on ancient Greek goddess for day look.

Blogger moosj said ... (1:18 PM) :

How perfect. Retro chic in every detail, but fresh.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:43 AM) :

i really like her hair!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:40 PM) :

for some reason i want to take away the earrings.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:06 PM) :

Cute girl, but I don't like anything she's wearing. The dress isn't flattering. It is not mod at all, more like Martha Stewart. The glasses and earrings don't work with her face type. The shoes are a bit over the top.
