The belt is really great, and the dress is amazing, love her look!

Blogger Miriam Parkman said ... (9:54 AM) :

Great, cool second hand-look!
She looks like the kind of person who really can find the best things in a lousy second hand shop.
The belt is awesome, and the shoes and leggings are perfect together. I also love the bright blue color of the dress!
I wonder where she has got those leggings, it's the first time I see someone else than med having those little zippers on them.

Blogger Jessica Quirk said ... (10:19 AM) :

Looks thrifty and chic. Gals like this are my style stars.

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:22 AM) :

When I first signed on, and saw the dress, I thought it was plastic too! She looks great though, the hat, the shoes, everything is spot on. I wonder what are the goods in the bag. Breakfast? Hangover cure for last night?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:27 AM) :

She rocks!!!!!!! I wish all your pictures were as cool as hers, so much more interesting than girls with dogs and fancy bank accounts.

Blogger Sam said ... (11:35 AM) :

that paper bag appears to be free-floating at her side. I think she's a witch. Witchcraft!!!!

Blogger laura said ... (11:45 AM) :

Here's something I must know: what camera do you use to take these pictures? They all look amazingly shiny, nitid and colorful.

Blogger LUX said ... (11:50 AM) :

She looks so incredibly happy. The plastic belt is an unexpected touch here, and shows that she's open and not hiding anything ;o)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:58 AM) :

'Fess up - the hat's yours, right?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:11 PM) :

Any chance of you uploading the pictures at twice the size?
She looks really cute.. :D

Blogger María Paz Alvial said ... (12:19 PM) :

i love new york

Blogger Cook said ... (12:41 PM) :

i love the hat. it makes no sense, yet, perfect sense for this look. very cute.

Blogger Romeika said ... (12:41 PM) :

Pretty original dress, but i wouldn't wear it. Love the hat, though.

Blogger Susan B said ... (12:43 PM) :

A perfect example of a style that's irreverent and fun. (My favorite kind!) Everything works so well here, and I love how she's knotted the hem of the dress to give it that "bubble" look. Her grin is wonderfully mischievious too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:49 PM) :

nah this puzzles me. without the hat it would have been a perfect 10. the hat breaks it off in a bad way i think

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:57 PM) :

Fantastic head to toe!!! (and great smile).

Blogger Elizabeth said ... (2:05 PM) :

I wish I could wear a dress like that and feel something other than stupid. She does it so fabulously. The color is spectacular.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:46 PM) :

she looks great. its looks like a blue garbage bag- and she works it well!

Blogger Chelsea said ... (3:14 PM) :

love the bright, wide smile.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:19 PM) :

The color of that dress is fantastic

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:54 PM) :

so cute!

Blogger tn said ... (4:35 PM) :

The best thing is her terrific happy smile! I love her thinness and insouciance, the look is terrific.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:37 PM) :

not my favourite. it's an interesting combo, but it feels like it's wearing her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:15 PM) :

love the effortless style of this outfit... the more you look at it, the more you appreciate the differnt pieces and the way the outfit works. i love the hat too.

Blogger Martha said ... (5:41 PM) :

She looks like Tegan and Sara. Great smile.

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:57 PM) :

did she make that dress herself?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:07 PM) :

That hat and dress and belt- everything outshines by her smile. Just great!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:44 PM) :

i would really like all women to LOSE THE LEGGINGS!!! a. it's hot outside, b. you're ruining perfectly good, simple outfits with those black things on your legs!! they are so obtrusive and just looking at them is making me hot! i hate them!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:07 PM) :

i do not like it. i don't like the leggings and shoes. the rest is good though.

Blogger matt williams said ... (7:39 PM) :

This is an exapmle of making leggings work for you.

Blogger matt williams said ... (7:45 PM) :

I want to add that this outfit looks like something SJP would wear on Sex and the City.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:19 PM) :

Some people really know how to put things together - clothes, accessories, colors, shapes. She looks great!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:05 PM) :

the leggings and belt are from kiki de montparnasse on 79 Greene St, where the picture was taken!!

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:12 PM) :

she has a 40 in the bag.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:48 PM) :

I find all the colors on the background on the girl- just enlarged.I don´t like the way she´s dressed, but the black thick tights fit amazingly well with her shoes. There is nothing rational in her outfit.Too much trying. Now really- who would want to look like that. I appreciate the artistic attempt though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:24 AM) :

It's way too early for this, but:
Please do consider having a year-end "most-commented-on looks" Top 10.
Thanks!

Blogger laia. said ... (1:14 AM) :

this is my favorite pic youve posted in a while... that belt is amazine, and the blue of her dress is absolutely fantastic!

some girls...

Blogger Bel said ... (1:19 AM) :

That blue is magic on her...as is the smile!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:54 AM) :

Love her whole outfit.
Looks casual, but also a little dressy.
I really want that hat.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:44 AM) :

love the hemline and the material

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:24 AM) :

Someone explain why beautiful women wear black leggings with EVERYTHING? I just don't get them at all. This is the worst thing to happen to womens fashion ever. I was reading these posts and couldn't believe no one agreed until the 28th post. A women with that figure, in a blue summer dress with that incredible smile does not need black leggings.

Blogger Jennifer (Jen on the Edge) said ... (11:35 AM) :

From shoulders to ankles: Most excellent. Head: The hat doesn't work with the rest. Feet: I think the shoes are dowdy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:15 PM) :

perfection...i love the hat...the color......and she's smiling imagine such a thing...great pick

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:09 PM) :

Now why are all these people so crazy over the leggings?

A) It has been cold in NYC. We recently broke a weather record for 14 days under 70*

B) Sometimes a dress is just a bit too short for propriety. Too many men on NYC streets have NO personal behavior governors.

C) It looks cute, regardless of how "played out" many posters may think it is.

I agree that not in all cases is it the wisest fashion choice, but to blanket dismiss something because of the arbitrary "its so over"? That is just so narrow minded. She looks cute and she's doing her own thing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:33 PM) :

Oh no ... cheap 80s shoes, leggings, plastic accessories ... wasn't this look dead and burried last year?

Blogger MARIA H said ... (8:11 PM) :

Maybe the use of leggings is a reflection of women feeling not totally safe showing their legs: maybe it has to do with perception of danger, cities do that...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:21 PM) :

The dress and belt are really cute. Ditch the leggings and the hat too. Add sandals and she'll have a really cute outfit. That quirky look doesn't always translate well.

Blogger Blaise said ... (11:10 PM) :

very unexpected..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:46 PM) :

sure, some of the pieces are a little off but the feel is well created. a lot of personality and a little eccentricity done in a rather unique way. finally.

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:16 AM) :

Nice.Sweet.Fresh.Mixed-up style.So Delightful.

Blogger Asi Mod said ... (2:40 AM) :

I like the gathered asymmterical hemline.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:26 AM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:51 AM) :

girl, dress, fine. Smil GREAT!
shoes, tights, hat, YUK!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:10 PM) :

If Funny Face were remade, this is what Jo (Audrey's character) would wear.
Simply fantastic!

Blogger JO said ... (1:11 PM) :

LOVE her Smile! What a great shot - you can almost hear her laugh :-)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:23 PM) :

Agree with many - fabulous minus the ubitquitous black leggings.

Blogger supercat said ... (1:06 AM) :

superb.

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:39 PM) :

Love the contrast of the blue against black leggings.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:02 PM) :
