Her outfit is so effortless. I also love how she can totally pull off the all-black-in-the-middle-of-summer look.

I agree with the person above, it's so effortless. But the simplicity is always welcome. It doesn't look like a typical summer look, but give the woman a break, it's been chilly, cloudy and rainy in many places in Europe. I've just came back from Copenhagen and i saw so many girls wearing long dark coats, boots and scarfs, for God's sake. Summer?!?

Her look is simple and chic! Wow!

This is my former headmistress and Dita Von Teese rolled up into one person. Great that she can wear all black and look so conservative with a subtle underlying sexiness!
Brava!

Blogger lewehrman said ... (10:13 AM) :

She looks like the subject of a lovely classical painting!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:13 AM) :

Very modern and very retro at the same time

Blogger simplyolive said ... (10:27 AM) :

her shoes are great...but the rest looks a little too dowdy.

Blogger norman said ... (11:39 AM) :

it's the hair

beautiful shoes, revealing beautiful feet!

I love her hair--so "come una volta," with the very modern tshirt and pouf skirt.

very classy!

She looks great, but I think her hair has a lot to do with how cool she is.

Blogger matt williams said ... (4:50 PM) :

She reminds me of Deita Von Tese(sp).I love this type of look. This look is very good for those of with hourglass figures.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:06 PM) :

her hair looks like a profile silhouette...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:56 PM) :

She's divine, effortless. If your haircut pulls your look together, isn't that the definition of style?

Blogger Ms. Laaw-yuhr said ... (9:43 PM) :

The shoes are perfect! While the rest of her outfit is demure, the shoes give off a come hither vibe.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:17 PM) :

Beautiful, wonderful, divine, classy elegant! She gives me hope that I when I dress like a lady I am not alone in the world. As always, Sart, xoxox

Blogger Jennifer said ... (11:58 PM) :

for sure the hair makes this an outfit, a look. it confirms that she has style and is not just wearing comfy cotton separates with pretty shoes.
this means she is really bringing something of herself to it, is so much more than a mannequin.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:21 AM) :

high renaissance hairline with a 20's hairstyle! distinctive.

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (8:38 AM) :

She looks beautiful - her hair is stunning. It perfectly suits the style. Great shot - she looks elegant and pensive.

Blogger pumpkin said ... (9:40 AM) :

this seems like the highest and best use of prada - on a real woman, with a real life, looking great.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:15 PM) :

simply olive, you have got to be kidding...
i've been perusing this blog like an addict this past weekend; and, i have to say that this woman is the definition of sartorial. she hit mark with class, style, fit, attitude, feminine, ageless, and sexy all at the same time. i can't be believe you would be negative about her look. bravo to the sartorialist for finding her and sharing her.

these shoes are perfect!

Her hair makes me think of 1930s style -- Stefania Sandrelli in the movie "The Conformist." And yet she carries it off in a completely uncontrived way. Lovely.

Blogger Stratos Bacalis said ... (7:44 AM) :

Perfect! Italian to a T!

Blogger Laura Emily Dunn said ... (9:41 AM) :

fabulous. such a classic look.

Too masculine in my opinion. And the expression on her face is blanco.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:32 AM) :

This is how my mother dressed in Naples in the 1960's, very catholic. Nice to see the pendulum of chic has swung back!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:13 PM) :

Love the hair! (and the rest of course)! ^^)

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:32 AM) :

This is Lucia Viola who works in Prada, Milano. She is the epitome of Italian ladylike chic! Bellisima!

Blogger Stefanie G. Sirola said ... (2:55 AM) :

I'm proud to call her one of my dearest friends, my Italian sister.

Lucia's effortless & refined chic comes from within.

Ti voglio un casino di bene, Lucia!

Blogger Dani said ... (5:06 PM) :

The only thing that I can see on this pic is this face made by her hair that want to be shot, its like a black face shouting, shes got two faces in one
its really a dramatic picture

Anonymous Donne Milano said ... (9:16 AM) :

Yes, the hair is great. I like the dress too ... simple and BLACK

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:37 AM) :
