On the Street.......Modern Prep, Sodermalm, Stockholm

What he is wearing is basically Gap khakis, polo, and sneakers but the extra slim cut make it look so much better than what i can buy at Cherry Vail Mall.

gap makes khakis that slim?

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (9:43 AM) :

He is gorgeous! and he looks great with those pants, I know that not many men would wear it, he id it and it worked out just fine!

Blogger Carlene said ... (9:50 AM) :

Cherry. Vale. Mall. Hee.

*shudder*

(no longer has a Gap, even)

;)

Well, what is one to say? As we say in Holland, 'Met jou zou ik wel een beschuitje willen eten'. My God. One question for our host: when will we be able to buy your first book? And I want this man to be on the cover!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:08 AM) :

Very nice!!!!

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (11:29 AM) :

Scott, you forgot to mention his jacket...where's the jacket from?

I like it.

Blogger Sissy said ... (11:40 AM) :

Beige pants and white shoes never looked better!

Blogger Asi Mod said ... (12:09 PM) :

When you look this good, it's easy to make everything else work for you. I love the slim cut khakis on him. But it is not a very forgiving pair of pants. You need to have legs up to THERE to wear that.

What is most fascinating for me about this photo is the white pants and shoes. Brilliantly matched and totally fresh looking.

Blogger Mag Hag said ... (12:42 PM) :

It also helps that he's hot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:07 PM) :

I agree the fit is what makes the look. But even if the clothes didn't fit so well, he'd still have that extraordinary body underpinning it all.

The trousers appear to be of a 'normal' slim cut, not too snug at all through the hip and thigh. This chap has just got massive calves!

Blogger hoi polloi said ... (3:30 PM) :

Cute guy

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:51 PM) :

Maarten; I totally agree this guy is friggin' hot and as we also say in Dutch: naast hem zou ik wel eens wakker willen worden.. Those pants are amazing, a really fresh way to cope with the slim-fit-hype!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:50 PM) :

where can i get pants like that?

Blogger Stratos Bacalis said ... (7:31 PM) :

Looks great and sexy...

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:48 PM) :

great look
even greater model
you go Jimmie

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:06 PM) :

i love this modern preppy look. this shows perfectly that you do not have to spend a ton of money to look stylish... a great haircut, cleanliness and good grooming and some attention to detail really goes a long way.
even a chunky guy would look fantastic wearing this look.
that's why it has become a classic, non?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:11 PM) :

Agreed that fit can make or break a piece of clothing, no matter its pedigree.

Having said that, I think that in this case his trousers cross the line from "well fitted" to "too tight."

Love the mix of what appears to be navy and black on top, though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:12 PM) :

Cute guy!
And I love his white pants whit his white shoes.
so sexy

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:46 PM) :

@lulamae... I dont think a chunky guy could pull this look off at all..I live in Williamsburg Brooklyn, where we have chunky guys working slim pants all over the place, and they look terrible... however the little slice of sunshine in this photo could be wearing a dayglo mumuu and still look good...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:31 AM) :

no man should wear pants that tight.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:34 AM) :

um, and he happens to be the most beautiful man i have ever seen... drool!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:10 AM) :

he made gap look hot!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:59 PM) :

I think skinny pants look bad on everyone (including this pretty-as-a-girl guy) because they make your legs look very short.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:15 PM) :

He really look great with those pants . And your blog is fantastic as well ! I even created a post talking about you .
Come to São Paulo one day to took pictures as well .

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:18 PM) :

No way in a million years those are gap khakis!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:37 PM) :

This man would look good in anything, but I love the navy/black white/cream combos which most people wouldn't attempt. There's something modern but understated about it. Paired with the classically handsome and intelligent face, he's remarkably striking.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:14 PM) :

can i make this man my second husband? on second thought, i wouldn't want to be with a boy who is prettier than me!

Blogger The Enforcer said ... (10:24 PM) :

Gap schmap...LOOK AT HIM! He's just perfect....head to toe.

I'm convinced that you only encountered beautiful people on your latest trip. =)

Blogger Viola said ... (3:36 AM) :

oh, those swedish boys...so cute once again!

I wish my legs looked 'very short'. Short legs are awesome!
One trite fashion tip from 'What Not to Wear' cannot be applied to the the entire clothes-wearing population.

Blogger nicolas said ... (5:03 PM) :

The shows are fantastic!!they are a great example of how a man can were white sneakers and still look pulled together ...Gotta get some just like those!!!
SO, Are they Prada or Lacoste?

GAP pants?.. dont think so ...or at least not here in America...Wishful thinking though...

Blogger designerman said ... (12:52 AM) :

The Gap should look so good...

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:51 AM) :

i agree, it's hard to get past the face to look at the clothes. but leaving the khakis aside, what about the jacket? i love the minimalist thing going on, but the stark pairing with the khakis make it even better.

actually though, i still can't get past the face :)

I`M IN LOVE!!
//Emelie from Varberg Sweden :D

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:15 AM) :

That man looks like a famous french actor,Gaspard Ulliel...

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:33 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:00 PM) :

Where can I find khakis that fit like this!?
Someone help!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:45 PM) :

probably not GAP but I see what you meant. Their slim pants are not very slim at all...I wish they would change up their fits to fit smaller people like H&M does.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:20 AM) :

the white shoes is maybe enough, maybe not, but in thi spicture seems its enough, love. this picture, the wear, all in place, so its somekind of wonderboy for me, yes, heis. so all we go to Stockholm.
