Blue and yellow - a lovely mix. Dresses can be so pretty - exposed skin and fresh patterns - bring on the warmer weather!

Blogger H said ... (9:15 AM) :

That's a beautiful dress -- I love the print.

Super!
Is she sitting or what?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:30 AM) :

Wow, what a fantastic dress! It looks a little out of place, though..

Blogger shani-o said ... (9:34 AM) :

What a GORGEOUS dress! And the necklace sets it off perfectly.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:44 AM) :

I like how she's wearing this as a more casual style, but you could always dress it up. Ya-Ya's has a cute casual dress too that could work for both day and night, check it out at
Bluefly

Somewhat sad/sullen expression and the sunnies are a little too big, but that is an absolutely rockin' dress! Does anyone know where it's from?

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:57 AM) :

what an amazing dress! I love it... Not super sure about the sunnies though - a bit heavy maybe?

Blogger The Spicers said ... (10:35 AM) :

Love the print on her maxi-dress, and the pretty necklace!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:00 AM) :

oh i hope she's sitting on some kind of suitcase. wouldn't that be loverly? she looks like she's about to take a trip,

Blogger will anderson said ... (11:02 AM) :

that's summer. what a print. i admire the boldness of the necklace too. she's really great.

Blogger Bexia said ... (11:06 AM) :

As much as I don't like the actual pattern, blue and yellow are wonderful together and here they highlight her beautiful skin and hair. I adore well cut long dresses and the way that good ones can highlight long legs, as this does. It's a shame the expression on her face distracts the attention from a well chosen dress.

Blogger JO said ... (11:28 AM) :

LOVE her dress! It is gorgeous!

Love that she is sitting so casually by the sub stairs. It makes the dress look like everyday wear.

Blogger chalkboards said ... (11:32 AM) :

OMG she's floating.

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (11:42 AM) :

I love blue and yellow together!

Blogger JO said ... (12:07 PM) :

...the necklace makes it
P-E-R-F-E-C-T!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:18 PM) :

The dress is ok, her snarly " nasty/ hip" look and attitude is really NOT ok, it is so much more tiresome and less lovely than the sweet and open
" librarian" just below her... I get tired of the snarlyness that I deal with every day here in NYC, I feel like it is what unsophisticated people think is a
" real NYC' attuitude when with a softer feeling she - and all the other " Im snarly becasue its cool girls" could be much prettier.. and happier..( and better to deal with) and so much more chic, no?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:23 PM) :

This dress, these glasses - daytime, on the street, that's awesome

Blogger Asi Mod said ... (12:46 PM) :

Absolutely lovely. It's a perfect combination of ethnic design and Mediterranean flair. I love the dress. It's perfect for hanging out in India, Provence or NYC. I also love the pendant she's wearing.

I love the minimalist look. She has is a gorgeous dress, a beautiful pendant, sunglasses and sandals. Little make-up, nothing else. Perfect!

Blogger RECIEN LLEGADA said ... (1:11 PM) :

nice dress

Blogger Jessica Quirk said ... (1:18 PM) :

5th ave uptown or downtown???-- this looks more NYU than UES to me...

Blogger Indulge in Fashion said ... (1:33 PM) :

lovely dress

Blogger j said ... (1:34 PM) :

sitting on the stand pipe adds a little extra wit to this one. love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:37 PM) :

she's sitting on a stand pipe (there's a sign to the left of her) ...think of a fire hydrant...gross & her dress is dragging on the ground...otherwise, it's cool

Blogger Bobby D. said ... (1:40 PM) :

lovely

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:56 PM) :

Wow! Great print. She is gorgeous in that dress.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:06 PM) :

blue and yellow is my second favorite color combination, i love it. i love everything about the dress, the girl. a+ from me.

Blogger Dutch Girl said ... (2:14 PM) :

I can't help but feel that the dress and the sunglasses are wearing her. She sort of just disappears... never mind the fact that she looks as though she is about to, um... fall over?

Blogger siongc said ... (2:30 PM) :

WOW for the dress. But I am not quite sure I like the size of the necklace. It seems to be competing for attention. I would have preferred something a little smaller. But WOW!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:29 PM) :

gorgeousness! anyone have a clue where that dress can be found?

Blogger DS said ... (3:34 PM) :

The print, blue and yellow a definite hit. I wish I could see her shoes. . .

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:37 PM) :

Nice Dress- FABULOUS Necklace! Though her overall appearance would be improved by a smile...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:05 PM) :

Hot town! Summer in the city.

Blogger Cut of cloth said ... (6:30 PM) :

This does look kinda surreal
Sitting on a Stand pipe
I usually hate blue and yellow combos
They remind me of bad 80's
Laura Ashley
But this does work well on this yellow haired beauty

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:56 PM) :

seriously paris hilton stopped dressing like this years ago and she is the poster girl for tired fashion

Blogger 'signorina' said ... (10:33 PM) :

There's currently no escaping yellow, is there?! But I think this is a good way to do it - more subtle and less immediately date-able.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:25 PM) :

Hot! I want the dress!!

Blogger la femme said ... (11:35 PM) :

oh my god.

Blogger Blaise said ... (5:12 AM) :

wow, the dress is already super but her posing.. I could put her in a contemporary painting.. Where'd she get that dress? Where I can get similar dresses?? I'm so frustrated..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:04 AM) :

Beautiful dress on a beautiful woman. Too bad she looks so bored and jaded.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:48 AM) :

Every single girl in Rio de Janeiro has at least one dress like this one.

She looks like she could be walking down the streets of Leblon.

Blogger Blue Floppy Hat said ... (10:06 AM) :

That print reminds me of Gustav Klimt..it's a lovely take on the maxidress trend.

Blogger odilean said ... (1:22 PM) :

yes, that dress is gorgeous but i wish that she was wearing a different necklace and shades. they both seem too fussy for this gorgeous dress (which really does not need accessories at all). also, would make a lovely cover-up for the beach or something to wear in a bright happy distant place.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:57 PM) :

LOL, to the poster who said it's like worn in Provence. No way!!!
Much more consrvative than you think.

Blogger Bel said ... (12:31 AM) :

Stunning!!! The best part of spring/summer are the dresses. It's coming to winter here in Western Australia :o(

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:39 PM) :

Anyone notice the yellow walls inside the store she's infront of and the upward transition of the blue blobs on the window to frame her? Background compliments her dress perfectly, nice shot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:26 PM) :

great display of a fit woman showing skin but still maintaining class. colours are brilliant, the yellow isn't too overwhelming.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:13 PM) :

where can i get this dress...i want to go there right now!

Blogger Another Shade of Grey said ... (11:19 AM) :

Gorgeous print.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:43 PM) :

That dress is amazing! So bohemian chic with a modern pop art pattern. I love your blog, the pictures are inspiring!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:35 PM) :

I just love this dress.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:49 AM) :

The dress is by Tricia Fix. Saw it in the store just this weekend, so I had to go back to this post. Seeing the dress was a reminder for me to see the potential in a garment as it hangs lifeless in the shop. I wouldn't have given this dress a second look as it seemed rather uninspiring on the rack, but then I remembered this photo and how this great looking woman rocked it!

Blogger Riima said ... (6:21 AM) :

looks like a TOPSHOP dress!! lovely it is! Can I have it.. pleezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:04 PM) :

beautiful women in blue looks beautiful to get married to!
