honestly?

Blogger Butch said ... (6:14 PM) :

The point here is the tie--or skinny scarf--over the T plus a necklace. Very nice!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:46 PM) :

the hair screams indie hipster/scenester and kind of ruins the look. if he had a different hairstyle, the whole thing would work better!

Blogger The Spicers said ... (6:52 PM) :

A bit too studied for my taste...

Sart, you've done a nice job of capturing hip European youth, and in Milan you found some interesting old men to photograph, but I'm yearning to see more people within the 30-50 range. I feel there's something a bit derivative about photographing bone-thin, long-haired young creative types and holding that up as a representation of European style. It is, to some extent, but let us see how the European professional classes dress.

it seems that his jacket could be a size smaller/more form fitting, b/c it looks a bit large and boxy for his body frame--the illusion of broad shoulders in tandem with ultra-skinny legs doesn't work with most people. The colors work really well.

That boy is about to lose his drawers.

Come on!

Blogger Tyler said ... (9:42 PM) :

This guy is a bit cliche, but I really appreciate the more edgy photos in the last two posts.

To stiff. It's almost summer. Loosen the tie or get rid of it; get rid of that ugly belt and that generic haircut and we may be headin' somewhere. Perhaps it'd be better if he also had thrown away that tshirt while he's at it. To Mainstream for the look he's trying to achieve.

Blogger Asi Mod said ... (10:55 PM) :

I love the entire look. The physical posture, the hair, and the clothes all fit the image very nicely. This is classic rock & roll.

Blogger we could grow up 2gether said ... (11:14 PM) :

the sensibility is just poetic. we need some of these in New York.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:22 PM) :

You know, I usually hate this emo-y punk look, but I like it on this boy...

Blogger Blue Floppy Hat said ... (12:53 AM) :

Tie or scarf, it looks cool- and I do like the belt he's got on.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:39 AM) :

ehh. the jeans and the shoes are little 90s.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:56 AM) :

hmm...he makes me think of my chemical romance.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:31 AM) :

HOT!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:31 AM) :

Honestly, the outfit isn't all that interesting or unique. But his face is lovely

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:40 AM) :

HOOOT!

Good style enhances the wearer--and you can recognize it by asking if you see the clothes first or the person first. Here the personality is obilterated by the clothes which are, as someone pointed out, cliched. It's as if he wakes up every morning terrified he's not going to appear cool enough.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:18 PM) :

Overall look seems bizarre. Not that bizarre is bad...just bizarre. Good shoes. Unexpected.

Perhaps surprisingly, the young musician set in Nashville has basically perfected the look he's going for. Head south when you get a chance, Sart...

what's the deal here?! 90% of the young guys in my town looks like that. I hate this look. I see it so often, it's almost an uniform for adolescents. Especially the hairstyle is totally standard here. What we need here is more preppy looks and flawless abercrombie dudes.

Blogger Fredric said ... (5:53 PM) :

The tie with the tee is really not that nice. Thankfully you're visiting Sweden and will hopefully post some really awesome pics from my hometown!

Blogger savvylondon, jr. said ... (6:57 PM) :

clearly-band boy. clearly.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:39 AM) :

god i am so sick of hipster hair!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:19 AM) :

This is the first post that I have seen here in which readers have posted quite a few critical comments.

Most of the comments are so saccharine as to be useless.

It is true that this young man's appearance is just so ordinary but that's OK too.

What I like here, on this style forum regarding this individual, is that people have finally commented on it.

I am all for posting some honest, thoughtful assessments.

Blogger dnqcnn said ... (12:44 PM) :

nice background,
nicer foreground (is that a word)

Blogger Stratos Bacalis said ... (5:44 AM) :

I like the scarf but not with the necklace - overdone. I would prefer it with a white shirt with some decoration detail though. And these jeans look a bit passe to me. Love the hair too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:03 PM) :

This look is tired. Ill fitting clothes on a skinny boy with purposefully dirty hair. Ick. These guys run rampant in Seattle.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:48 AM) :

handsome! nicely done outfit, but change the shoes?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:30 PM) :

Emo and Sagging do not mix.(Period).
BOO-HOO

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:15 PM) :
