So delicate and feminine.

Blogger will anderson said ... (8:55 AM) :

that's really beautiful. thank god its summertime.

Hey

I really like your blog even after looking at so many other blogs which do the same thing.

The people you photograph have real style. Totally unlike other blogs who just plaster fashion victims all over.

The thing is, I'm from Singapore and its summer 365 days a year!! And I'll probably die of heat stroke if I step out of the house in so many layers of clothes like the people you feature!!

I have seen your archives and people dressed for summer and spring are far and few. So, I was just wondering why.

Thanks!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:12 AM) :

Great dress. Not sure I like the placement of that 'starburst' at the bottom, though!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:13 AM) :

I love that dress!!
Does anyone know where to find it?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:47 AM) :

yes, great legs. Who is she?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:31 AM) :

Those shoes! Must. Have. Those. Shoes.

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (10:36 AM) :

She looks great! Love the dress, the bag, the shoes!

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:38 AM) :

she looks so refined. she's italian, non?

Blogger Lit said ... (10:46 AM) :

You dare ask who is Giovanna?! She's only God's gift to all mankind. She's beautiful this woman, even when she looks as simplistic as in this picture, she just looks amazing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:47 AM) :

God, I wish I had legs like that.
There is something so raunchy about that dress (where the starbursts are, I think). Love white handbag/black shopping bag combo.

Jealousy is an ugly emotion....

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:56 AM) :

nice outfita and obviously great photo.
for the one who asked, this a bottega veneta outfit.

Blogger pumpkin said ... (11:11 AM) :

a completely crush-worthy dress, and an uncanny ability to find perfect shoes to go with it...

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:23 AM) :

this picture has it all-gorgeous lady with great style as foreground and the architecturally infamous LV store as background

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:50 AM) :

yes, i agree with the earlier "anonymous" that the pattern of the fabric was unfortunately placed....
It is a very cute style and otherwise a great look.

Blogger Opulent CerriLynn said ... (11:52 AM) :

When on foot, it is quite useful to have two bags...one for necessity, the other, well...for necessity! HA! Doing the double bag is quite common in the spring/summer...you need more...a throw blanket, bottled water, an extra pair of shoes...and a spare tube for your bicycle.

Blogger Asi Mod said ... (12:00 PM) :

I L-O-V-E that dress. The design, the color, the cut, the length, everything about it. And Giovanna looks fantastic in it. Love her bag too.

Blogger siongc said ... (12:06 PM) :

Those legs!!

The dress is nice, and the print is fantastic, but I have to agree with the commentor above that that starburst happens to fall in the wrong place. But she looks amazing, with the bag and the shoes...

Blogger Claris said ... (12:17 PM) :

Giovanna's stylish as usual, love how the industrial backdrop complements what she's wearing--but oh my, that's an unfortunate placement of the print motif near the bottom hem...It happened to me once before with a large-print dress...Wore dress one time, looked in full-length mirror, donated dress to Goodwill.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:20 PM) :

the dress would have been great, if they would have put the flower at the bottom somewhere else...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:28 PM) :

Sart, Great shot! I love your blog and I am waiting for the women´s Sartorialist now that you are back!xoxo fm Brazil

Blogger hoi polloi said ... (12:41 PM) :

That print is so cool. Very illuminating ;)

Blogger Matthew Grayson said ... (12:45 PM) :

anon 9:12... I had the same thought about that lower "starburst"! Seems like it would be a little less, uh, distracting, if it were 6 inches to one side.

Blogger Philippine said ... (1:02 PM) :

So stylish!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:33 PM) :

awesome look

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:43 PM) :

Incredibly stylish and feminine, although I find location of the 'starburst' as someone said, very interesting.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:58 PM) :

How unfortunate that the visual effect of the "starburst" on the skirt actually makes this look like shorts...and not just any shorts but the high-waisted ones that women wore back in the...40s? 20s?

It's a bit too busy and perplexing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:25 PM) :

she can wear anything

Blogger The Spicers said ... (4:03 PM) :

Giovanna Battaglia is definitely the best-dressed stylist around! Great dress and shoes, worn effortlessly. You could probably photograph her every day for a month, Sart, and never get a bad photo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:23 PM) :

oh my....! actually love the placement of the starburst. keeps it fun and obviously adds a sensual element while not being trashy...

Blogger Anastasia said ... (6:19 PM) :

amazing body - love the shirt dress!
classy and sophisticated

Blogger Aisling said ... (7:23 PM) :

I need a dress shirt just like that!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:27 PM) :

I simply love her style!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:36 PM) :

Amazing outfit, the shoes and dress are perfect. I like the placement of the starbust, it's a little sass on a stylish dress like that. I covet her white bag it's beautiful, does anyone know the designer?

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:47 PM) :

Have to disagree with some of the previous comments. The pattern of my dress does things with my mind .. in a good way.
Missed you in Sthlm. My mother saw you though. Noticed you 'cause "who goes without socks and sports rolled up jeans when it's 5 degrees outside?" I know why ..

Blogger whyioughtta said ... (9:18 PM) :

Clearly a woman of impeccable taste...Her skin is her best accessory and she knows it!

The only item I'm not sure about is the white handbag...the rest of the outfit is so relaxed; the structured bag seems heavy and formal by contrast. Just personal preference I guess.

This is a beautiful photo.

Blogger Eastern Aisle Credit Solutions, Inc. said ... (9:32 PM) :

i love her dress but i wish her legs to pull it off..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:08 AM) :

I think the placement of the "starburst" is quite intentional; it demonstrates the wit of the designer and the wearer. It's always a good thing when fashion doesn't take itself too seriously :)
Gorgeous!

Blogger M About Town said ... (10:33 PM) :

i know that she is always so stylish but i covet this outfit. Everything is so perfect from the print on the dress, the little white bag, the shoes, her hair...i love it all

Blogger franki durbin said ... (1:41 PM) :

I love that the two bags seem somehow harmonious with the outfit and one another. The look would be just as good with either bag, but somehow both seem to make her seem so metro chic.

Location of the flower aside, the dress is great. But to be fair, she would look equally fabulous in a canvas sack. It's her body and fuss-free look that is so attractive.

How nice to embody effortless chic!

Blogger franki durbin said ... (1:41 PM) :

anyone know who makes the shoes....?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:04 PM) :

What i love is her simple, elegant beauty - little to no makeup, and slightly messy pulled back hair. Then bam!...killer dress, shoes, bags. So chic. Oh the Italians! Amore.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:40 PM) :

Giovanna, another picture like this and I am going to be forced to propose.

Women don't get sexier.
