The Sartorialist in the New York Post

I was so psyched to have an article about my blog in the NY Post this past Sunday. Notice that I'm smiling in the photo! (much easier to do when not taking a self-portrait)

Here is a link to the article Shoot to Twill

Great Article Sart. I remember that picture of the guy in a cape and tights. Scary . . . but definitely his own style! Anyway, I love your site. My absolute favorite daily destination. Keep up the amazing work.

Blogger The Spicers said ... (11:33 AM) :

Nice suit, with just the right sleeve length! Also, love the shoes. Are they Tod's by any chance? My husband has a similar pair.

Congrats! I love that the article pointed out your lack of snark. That's one of the things I really like about your blog. Do you dress this sharply every day? Who watches the kid while you're shooting?

Congratulations on the article!

Scott,

Congratulations! I'm glad that you keep getting the accolades you deserve. You really do give a voice to those of us who find the human aspects of fashion and style so fascinating.

Keep up the great work, and never lose that unique view of the world.

Congratulations! You certainly deserve it.

(Lovely suede/navy combination)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:32 PM) :

congrats on your blog success!

i like that everyone is usually pretty positive here. question: do you moderate comments so that the really mean-spirited ones don't get published?

Blogger 'signorina' said ... (7:43 PM) :

Congrats, Sart!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:46 PM) :

Like many, this is by far my favorite style destination which I visit every day. Sometimes more...like today. After dinner, was scrolling rather quickly and said aloud, "whoops, who's the cutie"? (Sorry, it was spontaneous.) I scroll back up and voila!

Fantastic, Scott! You look elegant, relaxed...just great!! Congratulations and thanks very much too for the inspiration! Kelly, Arlington, MA

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:49 PM) :

Congratulations! Mind listing your camera of choice? I was unable to enlarge the picture.

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:01 PM) :

Come to think of it, you are smiling in the picture! You were not smiling in the picture you took when were down here in Miami. Remember? You had a pissed off look.

Blogger Bel said ... (8:23 PM) :

Great to learn more about The Sartorialist - thanks for putting up the link!

I'm amazed that you've been taking photos for such a short time, you really have an eye - please don't stop any time soon! :)

Hey, I feel a little smug that I discovered this blog/site before the article came out.
No doubt about your artist's eye.

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:52 PM) :

Time Style & Design will name him one of the 100 most influential people in the design world. The mag says his site is a "must-read for the style-obsessed. What sets it apart is its attention to elusive elements of flair - the sweep of white hair or 'attitude' of an upturned collar."

fuck yeh

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:45 PM) :

How come your photo doesn't enlarge? Scared we will check out your pores? :D

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:12 PM) :

congrats. your blog assures me that i really do have no fashion sense.

damn, you're cute!

Blogger Erin said ... (11:07 PM) :

I'm rather partial to your self portrait with you in Those Jeans.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:10 PM) :

i really love watch people in real life with their outfit so real. you inspire me. i love you sense of fashion. muy chido!!! complimenti!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:34 PM) :

ckI appreciate the analyses we get from Sart and sometimes from the posters as well. It's fun to read the 'great look' comments but for someone learning about clothes, it's the specific tips, and the detailed analysis of WHY an outfit works, that I like best about this blog.
And the friendly, encouraging tone - a minimum of nasty-bitchiness.

Keep on Sarting!

- M, Oz

“Not through what is low comes the attainment of the highest, but through what is high comes the attainment of the highest.” Keep inspiring us Mr. Schuman.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:45 AM) :

Brilliant job! Well done. You truly are an admirable icon in this industry! Keep it up.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:18 AM) :

le calza da boggi...sart. incorreggibile.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:37 AM) :

Here's another question: what color belt (and what type of leather) would you wear with those shoes? Or would you go sans belt?

Blogger J Koes said ... (5:45 AM) :

just wanted to add my little voice to the choir of cheers. i'm from moscow, russia and you're in my daily feed. someday i'll get that look, make it to manhattan and smile into your camera too, promise!

Blogger Elizabeth said ... (7:28 AM) :

Great blog, great pics, pleasure to look at, as well as to read some beautifully written comments. Think it represents just a perfect balance of how 'seriuous' one should be about sthg we call 'fashion'. Keep it up. Kind regards from Montenegro (a small state in the Mediteranean).

Yayy, you deserve the accolade.

Because of your site, I'm really trying to be experimental in dress and style. It takes some time and creativity, but I think I'm getting there.

Thank you again, Sartorialist. :)
