The Sartorialist Goes To Sweden!, Germany! and Back to Milan!

I have been busy finalizing a few really exciting trips that begin next week!

As it stands now

April 17th to 22nd
Milan Furniture Fair for Wallpaper* magazine

April 23rd to May 1st-ish
Tour Germany for German Vanity Fair

May 1st-ish to May 5th
Sweden for Style.com

Of course I will be updating my blog everyday as usual during this trip.

I think the Sweden and German section will be great
and the Milan section will be a different crowd than the fashion group I have shot there before

I will update this a little more later this week

I'm looking forward to your take on Stockholm! I just returned, briefly, after six years abroad, so it feels new and fresh to me, too.

Germany! Fantastic. I can't wait to see what you shoot from here in Berlin.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:50 AM) :

Germany!! Definitely make a stop in Berlin -- so fabulously stylish, and truly the most vibrant, exciting city in the world ("the Paris of the North!").

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:57 AM) :

Fantastic! Welcome to Stockholm and Sweden!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:58 AM) :

Where in Stockholm will you be shooting? :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:28 AM) :

I´m swedish but live in Germany. But I guess you won´t come to Munich. Berlin has a very cool crowd though.

Blogger Resplendato said ... (11:31 AM) :

Great! I find the German students/kids wear street clothes with great color combinations..for example they start with teal colored Converse All Stars.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:58 AM) :

I'm so excited for you! And happy that we all get to live vicariously through your blog. I can't wait to see the pics.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:46 PM) :

Wow, Germany! Where are you planning to travel there? I would say best chances for loads of good style is in Berlin, but dont miss the smaller towns, if you are lucky, you see a few good styles there too!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:50 PM) :

It's cool, that you will visit Germany, but don't expect too much from the Germans' style. Do you already know which cities you will visit here in Germany?

Blogger Cappuccino Girl said ... (12:55 PM) :

Yay Germany! I bet you'll come up with amazing things in Munich and Cologne and Berlin (please say you're going to all three places), although as someone from Bonn, I have to say that we have amazing middle-aged to elderly lady style here.

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (1:00 PM) :

Excellent - looking forward to getting the updates!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:58 PM) :

Oh, Sweden. Stockholm is such a fashion city after all. It's time for the world of sartorialists to see as well!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:00 PM) :

Välkommen till Sverige! (Welcome to Sweden!)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:01 PM) :

Great! Can't wait to see what you shoot. Love your photos and blog, but I do prefer the non fashion industry types.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:40 PM) :

very excited to see your pics of sweden. i am eager to take a northern vacation and hit all of the design hotspots. a little off the style angle, but i'd also love to hear your take on the family-friendliness of sweden, etc. i hear it's very family-friendly. do you ever take your family with you on these trips?

Blogger Bexia said ... (2:41 PM) :

Congratulations on the gigs. Looking forward to experiencing a little of European street life in May through your photos.

Enjoying your work has become part of daily life for so many people. Thank you.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:11 PM) :

where in sweden?
NOT JUST STOCKHOLM PLEEEEEEEEASE.
GO TO THE NORTH!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:40 PM) :

Welcome over to Scandinavia. I think you will find Stockholm quite interesting. If you find the time, you should check out the streets of Gothenburg and Copenhagen too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:04 PM) :

Hopefully, you will visit a bit of northern Germany. Vanity Fair is one of the best women magazines in Germany at the moment. Will be looking forward to the Swedish shots... talk about beautiful and interesting tastes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:09 PM) :

I'm going back to Sweden for the summer.
I hope you'll post some pictures from there to inspire =)

Blogger Jocke said ... (6:50 PM) :

The Sartorialist in Sweden?! Cool!
It's a beautiful country and Stockholm is great. Hopefully the sun'll keep shining until your arival.

The boring part though is that most of the time swedes in generall follow trends like crazy.
And people dress very different depending on if you go to the east side or south side of town.

Oh, and here's a tip to those who can't wait for Scott to come here: http://stockholmstreetstyle.feber.se/feber/

Blogger Ming the Merciless said ... (8:08 PM) :

Congratulations!! I'm sure everyone here is looking forward to some new photos.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:22 AM) :

Where in Sweden will you be? Gothenburg?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:59 AM) :

Check out Copenhagen whilst in Scandinavia- I promise you that you won't be dissapointed!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:02 AM) :

I guarantee you will get some good shots here in Stockholm. If you have time, try visit Gothenburg as well. More street-ish laid back styles. People there tend to linger outdoor and in cafés.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:19 AM) :

Bravo! I think that people in Milano, during furniture fair, are dressed in a way which is much more interesting compared to the fashion-people...so this will be great to give us new ideas!
Go and take an aperitivo in the bar inside the bar of the Triennale ...there you might meet typical looking architects....
ciao
anna

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:30 AM) :

oh stockholm! I long for your visit here! Come to LANDET a place in the suburb of Telefonplan, veery stylish people do hang around there. tjadå sart.

Blogger Stratos Bacalis said ... (8:12 AM) :

Great news Scott. I will be in Oslo from 27/4 until 1st of May - it would be great seeing you do Oslo too - the men have some interesting styles but Icannot say the same about the women - pity, as they are so good looking all of them!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:50 AM) :

But he's (you are) more into fancy street style shots than clubbing at Landet or Konstfack, right? Oh my, people will get totally crazy here in there hopes of becoming the sartorialsit's next!..

Blogger Rare Autumn said ... (10:35 AM) :

it snowed in stockholm last may (sorry i'm just saying) - but don't worry people will still look "swedish paired down / pulled together" (or try to catch them when inside) will be great to see what you come up with!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:37 PM) :

you will have a great time! stockholm is a great fashion city...but not in the same way as other cities. my impression (100% unprofessional) is that for ex in Mailand people are more like "look at me, i'm looking good", in stockholm people are not that strong individualist. even though though they are very fashinable they kind of look the same!!! if there is a group of people that want to be a bit different, alternativ or what ever to call it (someone mentioned konstfack)they have sort of the "same style". stockholm is a very fashionabl city but at the samt time a very homogeneous "market". it's extreamly fascinating! i wish you a great time!/m

Blogger Miriam Parkman said ... (2:30 PM) :

Wow! I can't wait to see which kind of people you will take pictures of. You will be there in the best season -spring! It's fantastic then, beautiful nature and everyone's happy again after the dull winter. If you want to shop, go to Götgatan, my favoritestreet. But, if you just walk around and see where you end up you will find a lot of good shopping. :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:53 AM) :

Ohh, exciting :) Where in swe will you be? Hope you're gonna be in gothenburg, my hometown ;D

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:03 AM) :

YEEEAAAAYYY! sweden rocks (and style.com know it!).
you are wayyy more exciting than facehunter (whos always here) see uuu

Blogger divina said ... (3:01 PM) :

i wonder why don't you come to Turkey, Istanbul... i'm pretty sure that you'll find loads of stylish people here around Istiklal Street, Nisantasi...

It would be great to see those people here on this page.

And also, I agree that you'll find different styles in Sweden. Scandinavian people know how and what to wear...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:19 AM) :

I am SO looking forward to your Germany pictures - it's always inspiring to discover one own home's style thru the eyes of a person from another "milieu" because I am sure you will see those little details I miss here because of over saturation of GErmany

Blogger Bel said ... (6:47 AM) :

Germany will be fabulous. I have a couple of German architect/interior architect friends and they are just naturally gorgeous and cool.

Can't wait to see all the pics!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:11 PM) :

Oh! Sweden! You have to shot on Södermalm or Kungsholmen/Vasastan!
When I visite Sweden I allways find the most extraordinary people on nightclubs such as Ace, Teatron, Grodan and Spy bar.

Have the best time!

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:20 AM) :

Oh, you come to Berlin?! We so want to meet you :-)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:44 PM) :

Hope you will enjoy Sweden, I have heard many people say that men in Stockholm are the most well-dressed and groomed ones in the world, and with the Scandinavian trends being very nice and smart for this spring you will certainly get a good impression.
