Comments on "On the Street.....The Dramatic Eye, Paris"
Pretty as a picture and not Paris skinny. Good to see.
Interesting use of color.
everything about this is wrong. That lenght does not flatter her legs. That belt doesn't flatter her waist. And that color doesn't flatter her face.
What a stunning mix of eclectic styles. Yet they all work in harmony to create a beautiful overall look.
Clothes-wise, I like the top half here, but the colour of the skirt seems washed-out in comparison.
Great use of blue eye pencil, though. It makes me nostalgic for my sister's makeup drawer in the 80s. Sigh.
Sooo good to see a woman who looks like she can eat a sandwich. Very sexy.
I started doing my eyeliner this way -- continue the eyeliner only partway in from the corners on the bottom of the eye, even a bit less than on the subject in your photo -- after I saw a Russian friend of mine wearing light blue eyeliner this way. I feel like it keeps a dramatic eye from getting overly heavy. I love her outfit, thin and delicate knitwear is so fantastic layered. I half wish I could pull off yellow and mustard...
Have never cared for that bright blue eye makeup. Maybe had she kept it to the upper lid only.
LOVE the top - the colors - and if it doesn't flatter her face, oh my, it doesn't seem to matter.
Bottom half: not 'model' great, but real. If it were me...a darker color skirt, maybe slimmer style, like anon, said, 'Not Pris skinny - good to see.'
she's having fun mixing colors... let it be. it's her call.
she looks sensational! what an inspiring outfit.
What works for me is the contrasts; two types of yellow layered on top contrasted with a neutral flowy skirt and that handbag with the strap. The eyes have it!
love love love her! she is so beautiful. if i had a son, i'd make him go to paris and marry her.
Agreed the volume isn't the best for her body shape (or the way she wears it), but it fun, girly, and playful...maybe she felt like spring a little early?
Love the makeup, but not the way she put the outfit together. It feels all chopped up into blocky segments.
Glorious! Super-attractive. Love everything about her. I want to know her. A woman like this, I feel she'd be brilliant company at the dinner table. Like she has something to say. An individual. An intellect...
Her belt, that face, her necklace, that skin... (OK, I'll stop!!)

I don't know, Sart. Not sure she is web worthy.
LOVE the top half! the skirt is sort of a downer, though. but that necklace is great... interesting to see someone wearing b&w as the 'accent' color with yellow, instead of the other way around.
I would like to see a darker or stronger color skirt as well to balance out the color on top, but she is gorgeous, and definitely "bien dans sa peu". Nice to see.
I don't inderstand why your followers are falling over each other to agree that the Emperor IS wearing clothes. Again. They are all very funny.
Like the top. Looks like the beggining of a great outfit. Don't like the bottom half though. Think she artfully pulls off the yellow and mustard. Somehow that necklace and that eyeliner combined with it...really work.
What a great example of Paris Flea Market chic!
The blue eye line is a brilliant stroke.
An approachable beauty.

Great to see someone being that brave with colour and she so nearly carries it off. The one drawback is the colour of the skirt, which, I agree with others, should be darker. I also have a problem with a light ankle strap over dark tights, not the most flattering and a little distracting. But maybe I am just being fussy!
nice color... not fond of the proportions..
love her!
She's got on my two color Kryptonites: yellow and mustard! These are two colors that I couldn't ever hope to pull off. And not only does she do each one superbly, she does them simultaneously!
great mix and i love that she is confident enough to walk out the door dressed how she likes but unfortunately imo, this is just not flattering at all.
something about this look tells me that budget is a factor. lately the sart has been giving us very luxe looks, so if this isn't perfect, it's still certainly quite real. us armchair critics might not be showing as much style and imagination as she is here on a daily basis. i love the mustard colors, i love the top half generally. i do agree, the skirt is not ideal, but she chose an outfit over sweats, and (i am presuming) worked with what she's got. kudos to her!

It is a beautiful photo, she looks nive, but I would never use that. I think the make up is the best part.
ITS REALLY ALL ABOUT THE POSE
I love that kind of mustard-yellow! A real nice combination of two shades in that color. That yellow also looks great togehter with neon-blue, like her make-up! A very personal outfit, I like it.
I think this girl looks like she stepped right out of a Toulouse-Lautrec print. I love the bold color combinations.
Wow I think she looks brilliant, love everything about her outfit, and the fact she's a normal size instead of a boring skeleton shape so many woman are. Very pretty girl. :D
Nice. I love the mix of pale grey with dayglo yellow. Margiela had a piece from his Fall '08 collection that did something like this.
Her face is very pretty, but the outfit is a mess. I don't like the belt - it just cuts her in half. She ankle straps on the black stocking are very jarring and the layered shirts just look kind of messy.
I really dig this look, especially because it's not perfect. But it's certainly fun and risky and playful and that, for me, is what it is all about. As editor said, the look is very real--she looks like someone who would make me smile on the subway. She also seems like the kind of girl who'd hear all of the comments about what she did "wrong" with the look and say, "So?"
and the blue eye makeup...she's a girl after my own heart! I've been wearing bright violet/blue shadow as eyeliner for the past few springs/summers and it's nice to see I'm not the only one!
The top half is perfect, but the bottom....well, something seems amiss.....I think the skirt's just too light especially against the black tights. Dark denims would have looked great.
it's all ok if you see the outfit as layers of mono (grey/black/white etc) & the mustard/yellow layer being the contrast. it's not the other way around. so the skirt colour is fine. the more you look at it the more stylish it is.
I'm so glad to see that a normal size woman can still get admirartion, looking beautiful! Oh i really am. Nowaways there seems a clear separation in us-women-(or in both sexes?): skinny, which is usually regarded gorgeous, and laudable, and Not.
i like the toulouse lautrec observation above. well spotted !
i think she has a disheviled elegance, and is sexy.
Absolutely stunning. She carries herself - from her expression and her stance and her style - like someone I would like to know. She would be worth learning to speak French for. Great work, Sart!
A Refreshing original! Can we import her to the states? Bravo, Sart! She gives me hope for creativity and naturalness.
I definitely like the look of the top... and skirt, but them together...hmm...not so much.
Perhaps she's immersed in the spirit of Easter, with those yellow and eggshell tones.
Anyway, she'll always be my favourite Easter Bunny :o)
Waist up is gorgeous. I love her skin tone and the loose bag strap. The leggings and shoes bother me. Not many can pull off that eyeliner, though.
Ok, so the outfit, I'm not sure about (especially the belt) and the fact that she's sort of slouching doesn't help. But the face is gorgeous...I love the blue eyeliner (and the fact that the lower line starts at the outside of the iris...it is perfection) and I also love that she doesn't have perfect skin. She is so beautiful in a real way...wonderful.
" A woman like this, I feel she'd be brilliant company at the dinner table. Like she has something to say. An individual. An intellect... "
I find this comment hilarious. Perhaps I'm alone in finding that quite often, people who dress incredibly well have very little to say, since they spend all of their time, money, and energy on dressing well? I'm not saying that this is the case for this young woman, but how can you possibly tell who would be good a good dinner date by a photo?
Why are people commenting her body? i thought this site was mean't to be for commenting on peoples street style. I love the fach that she wears so many dramatic peices in one go and still pulls it off without looking like a circus clown. Im in love with mustard at the moment!!

Merci pour ce blog merveilleus qui inspire le respect. Je suis heureuse de voir des photos de Paris. Amicalement
i like her individuality. the colour combo is unexpected and sophisticated -the same colours as in an andrew wyeth painting. good for her.
This is 100% Russian girl!
