Good for her!

Enigmatic photo. Impressive stance. You've pointed out the notable parts of her appearance. All those and her immensely comfortable, confident self.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:09 AM) :

Very polished.

mltt

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (9:12 AM) :

For once I won't deconstruct. She is stunning. The whole package! Fantastic photo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:16 AM) :

She looks perfect. Her coat looks like dress and I love dresses with pockets.

Blogger ojhofer said ... (9:18 AM) :

The gold wedge loafers are perfect for her dress and for her beautiful tan. She glows with the Sartorialist’s chiaroscuro... beautiful photograph indeed.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:25 AM) :

beautiful and stylish. not too much!

Blogger jiji said ... (9:33 AM) :

so beautiful. she reminds me of gong li.

Blogger fashionnerd said ... (9:48 AM) :

lovin the silhouette...

Blogger Jennifer said ... (9:49 AM) :

for me it's the colors, the pockets and the shoes (which goes back to the colors actually). so much beauty and subtlety all at once. how luxurious.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:53 AM) :

PERFECTION! From head to toe.

Blogger Elizabeth said ... (10:01 AM) :

Yes, she certainly seems to have it all. She's beautiful!

I really love that shoes!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:15 AM) :

Effortless elegance. Or at least it looks effortless.

I might take this picture to my hairdresser or just tack it up on my wall for inspiration. Thanks!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:16 AM) :

This is a perfect photograph.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:23 AM) :

... buon giorno principessa ... tanti baci ...

Blogger will anderson said ... (10:24 AM) :

there is just something about the hair style...the collar...and the dress length/shape. very nice. after those legs...and her eyes...i noticed her dress. is it just me, or are the backgrounds a bit more pleasing to shoot in milan, than in NY?

beautiful photograph. quite nice.

Blogger pumpkin said ... (10:32 AM) :

oh. my. god. perfection.

Blogger hoi polloi said ... (10:48 AM) :

That coat is beautiful! I normally hate pastels but this is great.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:25 AM) :

Wow she's got nice legs, love the hair too.

Blogger donik said ... (11:26 AM) :

Now THAT is yummy. Perfection with the minimum of elements!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:31 AM) :

Beautiful photo.

Blogger Tri said ... (11:32 AM) :

Love it.
Since you already covered the coat, the legs, and the hair, I'll say the collar and the pockets create the outfit, too.

Blogger JO said ... (11:35 AM) :

Perfection!

So simple, so beautiful

Blogger Emilieee said ... (11:45 AM) :

She's taking my breath away! Just lovely...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:52 AM) :

is the fabric brocade?! and are those D&G shoes? love the pale lips. tres tres chic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:58 AM) :

Stunning - perfect proportions!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:06 PM) :

djiizez i'm a straight girl and i fancy those legs

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:08 PM) :

is that a coat? it looks like a dress to me. pretty nonetheless. she exudes a bitter charm with that expression and dark hair, which goes well with the pale prints.

Blogger Emily said ... (1:02 PM) :

she is beautiful. I hope that if our paths ever cross you would take my picture

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:33 PM) :

wow.

Blogger Terence said ... (1:36 PM) :

Gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:41 PM) :

This is a woman of extraordinary beauty. Such simplicity of form and color, but the effect is powerful. The absence of affect is especially striking. The photograph is excellent as well, and it really captures the shape of the hair.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:08 PM) :

I am speachless. The only thing I can say about her style is: WOW!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:17 PM) :

oh my! she looks absolutely gorgeous!

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:20 PM) :

Great Photo! Is she wearing wedges?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:30 PM) :

Yay for no leggings!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:46 PM) :

Wow. Marry me.

Blogger The Spicers said ... (3:07 PM) :

What a chic spring coat! And love the metallic wedges too.

Blogger Miriam Parkman said ... (3:07 PM) :

The fabric in the coat is fantastic, and I agree with you about the legs and the hair too! The coat and shoes are very flattering for her legs. They make them look very long and elegant, which isn't the easiest thing to find clothes for. Her hair makes me think of an Asian Amelie de Montmartre...<3

Blogger imperialmeasure said ... (3:20 PM) :

Stunning. Coat, legs, hair... what else is there to add? You've said it all!

Blogger aeon? said ... (4:01 PM) :

stun.ning.
love it. beautiful picture, sir.

Blogger Elle said ... (5:34 PM) :

She looks fantastic!

Blogger Asi Mod said ... (9:20 PM) :

She really knows how to work that dress/coat. And yes, it does show off her legs very nicely.

Blogger kristin said ... (9:27 PM) :

The shoes make it. It is like she is a ballerina in a music box all perched up on those little shoes!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:12 PM) :

Her elongated body, her pose, the look on her face, the hair swept back -- make it look like a VanDyck or 18thC English aristocratic portrait (Gainsborough, Lely, etc.) though entirely now, too. Well done.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:14 PM) :

thats beautiful imspiration.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:33 PM) :

Magnifique!

Blogger Kara said ... (10:45 PM) :

Astonishing! Gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:27 AM) :

62 comments within such a short period of time! Is that a record? (What's the record, if not that?)

Love the hair.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:51 AM) :

I agree with Cache. Certainly looks like a dress to me.

Blogger Jennifer said ... (1:45 AM) :

Is that Gong Li, the actress who plays Hatsumomo in Memoirs of a Geisha? She looks just like her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:12 AM) :

The coat is not the best as I wouldn't do such for myself however it fits her really good especially with her shoe choice!

Blogger Cut of cloth said ... (3:15 AM) :

Sant Andrea.
Is a stunning and individual reproduction!
You have again made mere fashion
appear sublime...
The subject is exceptional!
She has presence and a golden glow made more special by its context.
The silhouette of her clothing is reiterated in the archway and frieze of wrought iron gateway.
The subtle brightness of her clothe and skin by the dark shadows of the architecture.
This is indeed a memorable photograph.........

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:08 AM) :

60+ comments that all sound the same? is it the internet? one of the few sites that inspire so much but stimulate so little......or maybe Scott deletes all the politically incorrect posts

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:19 AM) :

She is gorgeous ! Does anyone know who is the designer of the dress/coat ?

Blogger lewehrman said ... (10:31 AM) :

So stimulation equals negativity, anon 5:08 am?

Inspiration equals political correctness?

Have you read any other posts? Some of them are full of what you call "stimulation" and they are still posted. Why does the anonymity of the internet inspire such nastiness?

This woman just inspired much praise and rightly so. Fantastic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:03 PM) :

To anonymous 5:08, perhaps there is nothing negative one can say about what is, in all respects, a perfect picture.

Oh, and Scott doesn't delete un-PC or negative comments - trust me, we've all made enough of those on here.

And Scott, if you're reading, I'm STILL getting compliments on a dress I bought last summer that I first came across on this site. If anyone knows the designer of this gorgeous lady's dress/coat (and shoes!), I'm all ears!

Blogger P.M. Richets said ... (12:12 PM) :

wicked hot asian chick aside, that dress is so awesome I want it to take me out on a date and tell me I'm pretty and interesting!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:51 PM) :

I agree with anon 5:08am.
I don't quite understand how this huge series of, like a gigantic wave, praises and admirations, -absolutely the same- could happen!
Is there anyone that thinks the skirt seems too puffy??

I love this site but sometimes it seems too much polished..

Blogger Juliette Tang said ... (2:30 PM) :

ahhh my eyes can't take the gorgeousness. amazing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:42 PM) :

Wow.
Simply stunning.
Perfect hair.
Perfect everything.

Blogger M About Town said ... (3:35 PM) :

Love her!! Is it just me or does she look a heck of a lot like Gong Li?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:29 PM) :

I AM SO JEALOUS!
PERFECT :T

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:25 PM) :

"CAN'T TAKE MY EYES OF YOU~~~"

Blogger Eastern Aisle Credit Solutions, Inc. said ... (3:42 AM) :

I just love this! More than the outfit itself (really good and unexpectedly matched together, the coat/dress/top and shoes), it's just that expression, complete confidence..

Other people won't be able to pull this off..

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:17 AM) :

WOW! what a goddess! from which beautiful planet is she fallen to earth?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:51 PM) :

This lady makes it easy to get philosophical about clothes and appearance. The choices she has made display an esthetic sensitivity, quite wonderful!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:42 PM) :

Definitely one of my favorites on the sart.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:21 PM) :

loved the dress! :)
