I'm curious what he's going to do with his skull perforated brogue now that skulls are so common and so last season.

Blogger Ming the Merciless said ... (6:51 PM) :

Fabulous photo!! Love the relax, casual and comfortable look for the weekend.

Wish there are more places like this in Manhattan.

Blogger Asi Mod said ... (7:11 PM) :

Love the scarves on both of them. Very cosmopolitan and chic, yet casual and laid back.

Excellent photo, sart.

I like his smile.

I love how he's done his scarf!

This is a very cute man. He looks very relaxed.

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:27 PM) :

Envy. I especially admire the knot he is able to pull off. Casual yet intricate .. Is that an Aqua Scotum by the way?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:55 PM) :

when is this guy gonna get to work on the Barker Black website?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:01 PM) :

this guy's apartment was featured in Domino magazine some months ago...fell in love with his place.

he's a smart-looking hottie too...love that smile and those glasses! too bad he's taken. =)

Hey Scott, I was wondering if you've ever been to seize siur vingt? it's in Nolita, i think, and they kinda have a casual look like this man.

i love the way he tied that knot on his scarf. as a knitter i really appreciate your love and focus on scarves. i've gotten to a point where i feel naked without a scarf around my neck sometimes. i've recently found the way guys dress to be quite inspirational for me as a girl so thanks for all your very interesting posts!

Blogger aj said ... (12:09 AM) :

i lovey lovey love him. you always take pictures of men I want to marry.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:24 AM) :

cute cute cute. and i like his tie. h

Blogger B.Chau said ... (1:25 AM) :

he's got the best pair of glasses, period.

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:25 AM) :

this guy... right here... one word: charisma

Blogger giriish said ... (2:24 AM) :

isn' the tie and the scarf redundant? nice knot though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:50 AM) :

I would like to see what kind of shoes and socks he's wearing and the length of the trousers.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:57 AM) :

Sooo love the look!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:51 AM) :

I love the High-Low of the outfit. He took a nice article (tweed blazer) and matched it with a pair of washed down jeans, great look!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:10 AM) :

Hi. Does anyone know how he tied that knot? So chic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:12 AM) :

that looks like a regular old fold scarf in half and loop through type of knot - except folded asymmetrically and precariously close to falling out. who knew something so simple and maybe unintentional could be so fun.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:15 AM) :

Aizan's idea sounds good - some front and back views?

Blogger chalkboards said ... (11:30 AM) :

So many great things about this picture. One of them being lunch in Nolita.

Blogger The Spicers said ... (12:29 PM) :

Great easy look, loads of personal style. You have to love anyone who looks this comfortable in their own skin, which should be the end result of fashion.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:52 PM) :

Great brand - Baker Black.
Those boys have tons of class and style !

Blogger hoi polloi said ... (3:18 PM) :

Very intellectual. Cute!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:59 PM) :

you can never overdo a scarf, love this look, i also agree with aizan, need to see more bottoms, especially in jeans, there is also lot's of sense of style there, just as much as with scarves... and his overall attitude makes it a definite bonus, the type of picture you cannot take your eyes off from, can he be my next best-friend?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:40 PM) :

Wish more men had that smile and style!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:30 PM) :

So many comments on his scarf and I'll add mine - terrific!! Please tell us how to do it.
Thanx

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:23 AM) :

We're just coming into winter here in New Zealand, so I'm totally stealing his scarf knot when the time is right.

And I'm a lady! Go, inter-gender styling!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:21 PM) :

I'd say the scarf is from Aquascutum. It looks just like their house check.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:02 PM) :

i would like him to be my future husband.

Blogger styleandsubstance said ... (11:01 PM) :

b.chau- I would bet a months rent that the glasses are from Sol Moscot, an eye glass store down in the lower east side. They carry a line called Moscots originals. I think the ones Derrick is wearing is called Lemtosh. I think Johnny Depp wears the same ones. They are also pretty cheap for glasses...less than $150. I think this look is so cool.

Blogger Enzo AGC said ... (2:44 PM) :

styleandsubdtance - I'll take your months rent. They are vintage welding glasses.
