Comments on "At Eredi Chiarini"
I don't know the guy...but he looks great.
What's Eredi Chiarini?
NOOOOOO! HE IS RUINING THE SHAPE OF THAT SUIT BY SHOVING HIS HAND IN THERE LIKE THAT.
OH THE HORROR!!!!
If this is a navy blue suit, shouldn't he be wearing something other than black shoes??
I tend to prefer a higher gorge on my jackets, but something seems off with this one. Also, the lapel is rolling up on both sides. I'm not "feeling" this one.
Handsome devil. Nice mix of colors/patterns.
I really like the texture of his suit. But the hair/sideburns doesn't quite work for me.
Dear Sartorialist, can you spend a few words on the "ideal" lenght of trousers?
I think formal trousers it should be like in this picture.
In the past few years it's been common (at least in the UK, Italy, and most of Europe) to wear trousers that go almost to the ground, so that just the heal of the shoes shows. Much like here: http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html#741140080259201943 .
In a business suit, I personally prefer slightly shorter trousers like here: http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html#8348163535148558590 . About 1/2 of the shoe is showing and the crease on the front ot the leg has only a slight "break". Sorter trousers, as you noted for jacket sleaves (http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html#4272943271960289259) also make people look a bit taller.
I like casual trousers and jeans longer, but not to the point where they touch the ground.
What do you think?
Though I like the handkerchief-tie colors and color follow-through, there are problems here, i.e., the hand in the pocket, which spreads a rather flared jacket closure even further apart--and the guy's having buttoned the top button only (why?), which furthers that unwanted effect.
It's not enough just to choose a suit and have it fitted properly; you have to know how to wear it.
Yelzer! That's a HOT italian man!
He knows he's sexy and he's saying, "Amare a me, il bambino!"
butch, he buttoned the top button because that's how it's supposed to be, are you expecting to find someone on the street with all of them buttoned?
that's a great mix o colours and patterns, but I think this guy is not the best person to be using it.
Eredi Chiarini is a boutique in Florence, It which mainly sells Ralph Lauren and Fay. You can find nice pieces of clothing but the shop assistants have a huge attitude.
I had no problem with service and I am very picky
nice linen suit with patch pockets
1) you're only suppose to button the top button.
2) the suit is linen, therefore the slightly rolling lapels and wrinkliness in the arms...thats the price you pay for being cool
I thought the basic rule of thumb when it comes to buttoning a 3-peice suit is --
TOP - sometimes
MIDDLE - always
BOTTOM - never
Am I wrong?
Eridi Chiarini is one of the best mens store in the world to me. They have a new "younger" corner on the top floor that's really nice as well.
They're also one of the few where you'll find Citrus Paradiso by Czech & Speak.
(that shit is the bomb for any true sartorialist)
The staff isn't snobbish, they're just Italian and proud of their knowledge.
Staff with attitude? Try any store in Paris.
(Except at Daniel Cremieux, those guys rule!)
A best fashion shop for men in Florence. Grande modaiolo :>)
PATCH POCKETS ON SUIT ... I LOVE!
I can't get enough of well dressed men in front of cool sartorial shop.
THX SAR!
