I love that shot of Yves Klein blue peeking through her military green parka and worn with black opaque tights and wicked pumps. I love the whole 80's Militia look. Love is a Battlefield!

those are some legs! Love the cobalt blue peeking out from below the parka. the beautiful face doesn't hurt either.

This parka makes her head look like the size of a softball. Unflattering.

I love the ultramarine blue skirt. I'm looking forward to seeing (and wearing) a lot more of that color this spring/summer.

LOVE the parka (I own the same one in black, so I'm admittedly biased). Especially love that it's an old-school Schott and not one of the trendier SportMax, etc. versions.

Flashback -- I wore this look on a first date with my now-husband in NYC almost 15 years ago! I wore ankle boots though.

I like the color combination of army green and cobalt as well, but I'm really not won over by the parka on heels thing. I think the proportion looks goofy, off kilter and sloppy....like she could only manage to put together half of her look. It's not okay.
It reminds me of midwestern girls who are too poor/tasteless to invest in a good dress coat, stumbling around in heels they don't know how to walk in becuase they only go somewhere "nice" once a year.

Deja vu (see 3/1 post). Although it's fascinating how the woman in 3/1 projects kick-ass attitude, and this woman in almost the same ensemble looks as fragile as a newly-hatched chick enveloped in fluffy down. Interesting contrast.

Methinks more than a few people are gleaning style tips from your site...

Oh my lordie...she looks....hip.

is it really that cold in NYC?

If only someone would try to tackle this look in Chicago. Although our sidewalks are a bit tougher to navigate in the winter...

The more I see this look the more I keep thinking MUST BUY PARKA!

Blogger Ellen Wong said ... (4:56 PM) :

I love the way the blue peeks out from under the jacket and how she paired it with black stockings. Great legs i must say

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:01 PM) :

Nope. Gorgeous model face. terrible outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:24 PM) :

she's very cute, like a bambi with knobbly knees. i only wish i had half her style when i was her age... (wearing platform glitter shoes and barrets in my hair... yikes!)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:50 PM) :

Forget the outfit, look at those legs and heels. That's what I'd talking about.

Blogger sophia said ... (1:14 PM) :

yes! as you said before, wearing heals and a parka - and meaning it. wonderful

Blogger veritas said ... (3:11 AM) :
