Comments on "On the Street....Upper East Side, Manhattan"
this makes me want to buy my father black suede oxfords and an excellent scarf, and show him how to tie it. I'll send him the link for inspiration. wonderful.

He looks like a walrus...dig your blog Sart
The first thing that comes to mind when you see the picture is "what is this?"...Kind of out of place in this blog.
Then, checking out the color combination and the glasses and the shoes...the whole outfit is so wonderfully put together and subtle...perfect. Probably because the guy is not young and trendy I didn´t pay attention to him at all.
Shame on me...
Sart, you definitely got it.
Ah, a camel's hair cocoon!
In really cold weather, I've discovered, longer is definitely better.
I can't quite figure this one out - do explain - please?
That's only with pants. Camel hair has an optimum length. Yes it has.

he looks a bit shabby but stylish. Maybe it is because of a scarf?
This is a typical Upper East Side look - long, oversize wool coat in camel color.
Contrast this with the Italian gentlemen in the past photos.
Somehow I feel like this man's outerwear is a tad too long. He looks a little stumpy right now– wouldn't it be better if it hit right around his knees?
i prefer a more fitted look on men and women, but his ascot/scarf thing is just so cute. that camel hair looks soft and cuddly...

In my opinion, the length of this coat is OK, even sartorially correct according to traditional views. But this gentleman has everything droopy -- coat sleeves and body (I think coat is maybe too large), coat pockets pushed down by his arms, and even his pants are too long and droopy. That's what makes him forlorn.
He is....completely charming!!!!!
