Comments on "Matteo Marzotto, Sartorialist Milano"
his smile completes everything
Certainly is Very Sartorial
From the cut of his suit
to the smile on his face
very fetching!summerof76
I completely agree with thwany, I can't stop smiling my self when I look at the picture.
What a genuine smile!
wowee.
Well, hard to see color and detail exactly, but this appears to be a brown suit, for a long time considered a fashion no-no. But he does a great job of it.
And let's also hear it for his six-button DB model. If I had my way, I'd make sure that there was a double breasted suit in every pot.
DB suit, whoo hoo. Haven't seen a suit like that look so good in a long time. The buttons are in the right place, no pulling, or gaping. The proportion of his details are right for his body. Bring back the carefully chosen double breasted suit!
The double-breasted suit never went away! This is a wonderful example which could only be improved by a slightly more dramatic flare to the jacket skirt and by deploying a shirt with double cuffs. Otherwise perfetto.
Sart, I have a suggestion for you, though it's not your usual beat. At the end of this month (starts March 29) in Verona is VinItaly. It is a huge Italian wine show with major and minor producers from all over Italy and buyers from all over the world. It is a fascinating men's fashion venue, because many of the producers, though they may have famous names, are farmers who put on their one good suit to greet their customers and potential customers for 4 days. I have been attending for the past 20 years and recognize the suits of the guys I buy from--talk about quality and longevity! It is fascinating!
I love a double breasted suit on the right body.
so artless and natural, unaffected, good smile!
Dear Sart,
I love looking at your blog! Your photos are wonderful. Unfortunately, since fall/winter colors have set in I've had a difficult time seeing details, even when I enlarge the images. I couldn't tell this man was wearing a DB suit. I have a LCD monitor that works well for my work (I'm an art consultant) but clothing seems to be tricky. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can see you lovely images more clearly?
Double breasted jackets are hard to pull off, even on a decent looking guy with a trim figure like him and a nice fit in the suit.
Great photo but not a fan of the suit.
Matteo has class !
The suit is lovely, and a nice complement to his "would you like a ride in my Maserati?" smile.
christian, you're right about his smile!
che faccia da viscidus che ha il marzottino!
I love the way how comfortable he looks in this double breasted...which can seem a bit overwhelming sometimes if the fit anf proportions are not in the right places
Thx Sar!
God he looks like Sonny Corleone here...
classic
I wear a double breasted suit weekly, 2 days ago was a Ralph Lauren medium grey black label suit with an Armani black label patterned tie
I love this blog, it's smart
Mr. Marzotto is always impeccably dressed. It helps of course that he looks good too!
