Comments on "On The Street... 6th Ave, New York"
This is about the coat, isn't it? Like its cut and length and--if my tired computer-display is rendering things properly--the part-velvet revers.
Nice collar on the overcoat.
mltt
I think his smile is so over what he's wearing! But...hmmm...the hair.
kiss-kiss!
Happily this guy doesn’t wear a plastic bag in his right hand!!! like they do in “At Thom Browne” and “On the Street, Paris” (February 5 and 6, 2007).
It’s possible to wear a plastic bag in a fashion way?
After I saw those pictures I realize that plastic bags always broke the magic fashion moments and sometimes… the silence too.
Congratulation for you site, my diamond friends adore you!
This guy has a great sense of style, but his coat is too skimpy. The shoulders are too narrow, the sleeves too tight (look at the wrinkling when he slightly bends his arm) and it could only be worn with a sweater underneath. This brings me to my next point...why are such suppressed and skimpy fits all the rage in mens clothing? If your body changes one bit, the garment's look is changes completely. This man would look many times better with a size bigger.
"shining" indeed!
nice and neat. A+
I don't like it. It's Calvin Klein gone wrong - er - well, just Calvin Klein, yes?
You should publish a book of your photography from fashion week.
Perfect fit head to toe, enviably classic jeans, just the right amount of interest on the collar, envy inducing wrist-watch, we should all be so put together, free of preciousness. A job nicely done. There is just something slightly incongruous about the beach boys coiffure accompanying such a knowing ensemble, but perhaps I'm channeling my midwinter sun deprived envy...
Jeans with a shirt and tie rock. It says: I dressy, but I'm not a square. Also the confident semi-smirk can make almost any outfit work. It keeps potential critics guessing. It was nice to see this picture - recent posts have been heavy on women's fashion.
Ah! Beautiful people, beautiful pictures.
Nothing to add apart for my delight in discovering this web log.
nicely-fitting chesterfield
i like stewart shining's style always. he is completely preppy and he doesn't shy away from his absolute preppiness he indulges in it. and its great. trends come and go but this man is always true to his style.
more mens posts!!!!!!! Whats up with all the women!
Anon
I have done a ton opf mens photos but a lot of them are on men.style.com
This week I will be going to Milan for the womens collections so I will have more mens on my blog b/c I don't have to split them with men.style.com
funny, i thought it was tommy hilfiger!
Jeans with shirt and tie looks silly, especially on anyone out of high school
it does look like tommy, doesn't it!
I like the tie sticking out amid the blues and the white shirt. I love those small touches in the outfit. Very neat without being too overdone.
are those 501's? I think that we may have finally come full circle on men's jeans. those look well tailored, but not too fashionable.
I agree-enough of over-designed jeans...
Of course his name is Stewart Shining, what else could he be called ?
jeans with a tie? we're repeating again? well, "very thing old is new again....". it's 1977 again!
