How cool they both look! And I love his bag!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:59 AM) :

Wow, what a super stylish couple. This how it should be done (the similar bags could be fashion overkill though!)

Blogger michelle_lau said ... (11:23 AM) :

both of them are cool and the woman with white hair, very special with great dress

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:32 AM) :

I really love their bags, they seem to fit so great to their personalities... I think it's quite hard to find a bag that really fits to you and doesn't cost an amount

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:32 AM) :

What on earth does he have in that bag??

Blogger Lael said ... (11:39 AM) :

Couples Androgeny = the new track suit.

Blogger Cut of cloth said ... (12:17 PM) :

A perfect Match
Laconic casual CHIC

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:25 PM) :

Nice, but they're trying too hard. Contrast this to the shots of Paris. The stylish Parisians have something just a little off, like flat shoes when the eye is expecting heels. The key is one 'off' feature that catches your eye. The people in this picture are textbook cool.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:35 PM) :

i like the way her white hair and his white sweater offset the all black look.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (1:14 PM) :

The perfect adrogyn look

Like it. ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:23 PM) :

While it's a nice outfit, they're just too model-y for me. I'm disenchanted.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:50 PM) :

If by couple, you mean "just friends", because David is gay.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:26 PM) :

Matching Mod-squaders. I can just hear a saudade soaked Brazil 66 tune, its' notes tumbing between scattering leaves at their feet. Fabulous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:29 PM) :

They are a super-stylish couple, although I do agree that the similar bags, but also the guy's hair style could be fashion overkill.

Nice to see some shots back in New York!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:01 PM) :

Thank god! all those euro photos were boring me to tears!

just kidding! welcome back home!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:03 PM) :

is that jacket the guy is wearing from ann demeulemeester? also, where is that bag from? looks GREAT!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:07 PM) :

oh so beautiful
it's something about new york

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:12 PM) :

Scandinavians?
He looks especially daring, is he really wearing wedge boots? Awesome.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:14 PM) :

the perfect fashion-couple! i absolutely love it!

Blogger momo said ... (3:53 PM) :

I love the contrast of their figures against the backlight, picked up by her hair and his sweater!

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:51 PM) :

You totally captured NY in this one!
your shit is awesome!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:04 PM) :

That's 'life imitating art' to the n-th degree.

Blogger Butch said ... (5:40 PM) :

Ah--fashion bookends! Have to say I prefer her version to his, which, with the pudding-bowl haircut, seems too imposed. His height and slimness requires some toning-down, I'd say, to avoid appearing gangly, as here...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:19 PM) :

Love the bags!

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:12 PM) :

his bag is a YSL Rive Gauche I believe

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:16 PM) :

Clearly that guy saw your perfect androgyny post in December because I believe his bag is the same and his boots are very similar - if not the same as well.

It doesn't look nearlyas good on him.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:17 PM) :

omg im practically drooling over her $1800 resort marc jacobs collection bag. nicely done.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:43 PM) :

his bag is last season ysl-its really, really great. i actually saw a woman wearing it today and had to ask about it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:04 PM) :

am i alone in this? dude looks like a lady.

i've been a sart fan from the beginning and this doesn't represent ny fashion. too cliche in my book.

but welcome home! i missed ny shots...saw you in the tents yesterday...can't wait to see what's up next!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:13 PM) :

They're totally channeling Britpop right here and it's nice to look at.

And, no, they're not wedge boots.

mltt

Blogger MARIA H said ... (9:55 PM) :

Text book cool, or poster cool?

Blogger Sunny said ... (11:12 PM) :

Blondie Redux!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:55 PM) :

There goes that pencil girl!!!

Blogger The Vintagent said ... (12:12 AM) :

I think women can wear that rock n' roll look anytime, and it always looks great - she's smokin'. He looks like Keef in '67, Green Grass and High Tides baby! It's a period piece, but instead of guitar he has a big bag, which is definitely challenging my assumptions.

Blogger THE BLUE-HYMN NOTEBOOKS said ... (12:19 AM) :

she looks a little like kate young
saw her on the LES last night with
this jacket + bag. great silhouette.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:39 AM) :

adrien brody, is that you?

Blogger Prodi said ... (3:15 AM) :

i don't usually feel compelled to post a comment, but there is something about the androgyny, confidence and conviction that pulls both looks together. i feel like they could have switched outfits and it still would be perfection. love it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:56 AM) :

she is absolutely fashion
the best girl i've ever seen in this marvellous place!!!
dita von teese in blonde

!!!

Interesting looking back on the page today, totally dominated by black, grey and brown. Just saw a few dashes of color; a pink scraf, a pair off yellow boots and a stiped pair off cloves with matching long scarf. It so reflexts the colors off today, but also from where the pictures are taken! Its interesteing thinking about how different the colors would have been if the shoots would have been from places like L.A. Mote Carlo or the country side off Sweden! ;)

Love this couple, like they where twins but then not.

I also love the eldery lady the other day, I wish I will look like her when I get older! What dignety! ( I think it's spelled)

Thank you for my daily shoot off insperation!

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (12:11 PM) :

Wow, they are a true couple in style. She is beautiful but if he were not standing next to her, I'd just think he had a mass of messy hair. They're certainly dressed in the same register - good for them.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:21 PM) :

Am I the only one who thought, "Wow! Is that Deborah Harry?" Looks a lot like her.

Blogger lucia martinez said ... (4:44 PM) :

he looks like he's trying to channel geordon from MisShapes.

and, as with Leotard Fantastik, it just looks like he's trying too hard.

she's great, but I want to wash her hair.

Blogger matt williams said ... (5:43 PM) :

So tall
So thin
I am so jealous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:59 PM) :

shes kate lamphear, the coolest fashion editor at Elle

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:10 AM) :

his bag is bigger than hers

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:05 AM) :

his bag is ysl rive gauche i believe
its a squarish muse bag; meant to be for laptop. i spotted at ysl shop in singapore.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:02 AM) :

The guys hair reminds me of a band here in England called Blur, they all sported this pudding bowl hair cut in the early 90's! Must say not my favourite look, but he kinda suits it, thanks to the rest of his "look"!

Blogger lacedmag said ... (2:54 PM) :

loving the look, especially his sweater

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:23 AM) :

Fash-un! And fierce. I think both of these folks are Elle editors, no?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:49 PM) :

He has the men's Muse or the Muse briefcase. It's been called both. I just got one, and I love it!!

Blogger adriaan said ... (8:47 AM) :

isn't the blond girl a dutch model also starring in G-star shows ?

Blogger GB said ... (1:39 PM) :

I was seated across from Kate during the VPL show at Bumble and Bumble last week. That hair sways and shifts amazingly with each little shift of the head - best cut every. I think everyone has a little crush on her - the queens, the girls and dudes like me.

Dunno who the guy is - but I doubt he's the other side of her "couple" while rocking the leather tote. Great shoes though.
