A "going out to buy bread" outfit! I'd like to imagine that there are dreadlocks under the hat.

Nicely done.

mltt

The hat does nothing for me; worse, it does nothing for her. Somebody tell me what's notable about this one...

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:40 PM) :

That's a great look, especially for the winter season. That coat perfectly compliments all the black. Even the shopping bag looks good with this outfit!

Blogger Jessica Swan said ... (8:46 PM) :

simply lovely. hate to say this, but the ciggy really completes the look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:18 PM) :

I love this. Sorry for the cliche, but she looks so French, that you just want to be her -- in Paris.

-p.

Vintage YSL...the trench coat, the rib knit cap, the cigarette...Rive Gauche on Rive Droite.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:00 AM) :

Not seeing it here

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:45 AM) :

At first I didn't see anything special about this picture besides her hat. Then I looked closely and noticed the hoodie under the chic trench coat. Punk sophisticate? Very cool.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:07 AM) :

Ooh, very nice bag and very nice coat. She looks relaxed and cool

Blogger mavieenrose said ... (2:20 AM) :

Oh....how fab. She looks so effortlessly cool. I love how the chain bag dresses it up just a bit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:02 AM) :

Ok, I see what you're going for - the color composition, the Marc jacobs fall 2006-ish hat, a trench with a hoodie. There are a lot of great elements here - but somehow the outfit *still* isn't worthy . . . A better rendered/tailored version of the same concept would be great. But this rendition leaves something to be desired.

I couldn't help but drool over the coordination of it all..the black clothes underneath and the beige coat with that pink shopping bag parked next to her..not to mention the beanie. She couldn't have looked better if she tried.

Blogger RoseAG said ... (6:13 AM) :

I'll bet when she puts her black gloves on that she looks pretty sleek.

I've never seen a hat like that. I like it, and appreciate that she hasn't buried her neck in an ultra bulky scarf.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:37 AM) :

I'm shocked!... and I want to say to her: "What have you done with your bag?"

Blogger Stratos Bacalis said ... (7:58 AM) :

Sleek? With that crinkled trench? no way. A more fitted cut for the trench would be much better. Love the beige/black combination. The hoodie is un-elegant big time...and the cigarette in the street too...

Blogger Claire said ... (8:29 AM) :

I love it. It makes me want to be in Paris.

Blogger Rafe Totengco said ... (9:06 AM) :

Were you on your way to Colette? I like how relaxed this outfit is, the slouchy pant, the oversized knit hat and the loose trench with her Grand Mer's Chanel purse. It may be a new Chanel bag but it's so much chicer to think it's her Grandmas, n'est pas?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:44 AM) :

This is very similar to my "running erands here in fashion Siberia" look. Very simple with classic elements, yet very of the moment with nothing overdone. One doesn't have to have to be shouting "look at me I'm unique" with every outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:37 PM) :

That trench coat makes it work. Great beige color.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:06 PM) :

She certainly looks warm and comfy. The width of her left leg coming out from under the coat is what makes this outfit not so great for me. If it matched the other leg, she'd look adorable.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:25 PM) :

i think this is sofia sanchez, a great fashion photographer
and she's argentinian not parisian but she does look very parisian

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:43 PM) :

she looks like Paris to me...especially with the cig and the soft pink shopping bag!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:44 PM) :

A damsel in distress?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:57 PM) :

wooow, i really like that.... er, mushroom, on her head. very becoming.. or something.

Blogger la femme said ... (2:47 AM) :

...and I have that exact hat in two different colours from Printemps. I was wearing it today :)

Blogger andrea said ... (2:44 PM) :

The pink shopping bag on the ground makes her appear soooo at ease. For me that is the finishing touch here.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:10 AM) :

A perfect blend.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:22 AM) :

Like everything but the trousers, they are too wide to be worn with this kind of slouchy outfit, I'd love to see how she would look in a tighter pair.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:11 AM) :

I think she symbolizes the whole ´i´ve done something to my life and is really accomplished and intellectual and professional and takes great effort in that´ thing. which is a good thing because we need more people like that.
