Comments on "On The Street... 68th St., New York"
Black can be a happy color!
Everything about her look is uncomplicated and yet, she's so pulled together. She definitely thought about what ensemble and hairstyle would complement her pedicure AND she's pulled it off wonderfully. I love how her dress fits her so well on the top and falls where it was meant to. Not to mention, her skin is gorgeous. Her bob is simply the icing on the cake.
There is nothing more universally flattering than an empire waisted little black dress. Nothing.
She EXUDES confidence! A perfect example of "less is more".
Very cute!
Wow, so simple and yet so stylish. And that smile really goes with the outfit, she looks great:)
Love your blog.
Must admit, not terribly blown away by this...tho, I do like the black nails:)
nnnnnnnnnnice!
She seems so happy and simple that it seems that she is wearing bright and colorfull. Right?
Amazing proportions, great smile, good to see some flat hair!
She's certainly a thoroughly modern Millie!
i have to agree with mauri. and i see a lot of people dressed like this.
i love her haircut!
she looks simply fantastic. simple and modern and with such a lovely smile. dressing simply doesn't translate into being simple. love it.
Her sassy expression and black fingernails round out the overall look beautifully. Great details + less is more + confidence = gorgeous.
I think shape is the key here, including the hair. The barette puts the focus on the hair as well, since she appears to be wearing no other jewelry.
Very 30's. Hot.
very elegant, black on black..I wonder was shoes is she wearing?
Everything just perfect. The dress perfectly enhances her lovely female form. Some of us have lived through all-black-clothes eras before but black really does draw one's attention to line and shape.
Great photo Sartorialist, your subjects always look so relaxed and happy to pose for your photos, and they are always so well lit. And love those random shots of New York in the background.
she looks fabulous! very confident and yes I agree her hair looks gorgeous!! like a modern day flapper girl
I would like to know what shoes she tied her simple outfit together with? She does have an air of confidence that makes her style more original! Brava!
So sleek and elegant. This is my favorite kind of look: classy, sexy, and not at all fussy!
she looks like one of the most pleasant people you could meet. And I've always said beauty is in the simplicity.
Yes, she is a natural beauty in black!
She's brimming with confidence. Very nice. Good job Sart. Get me thinking of getting myself a new haircut to welcome the new year. haha
what no shoes in the picture? ha. sometimes people get too obsessive about the shoes in your fotos.
like the shoes video. shoes shoes shoes i want those shoes. let's go shopping for shoes.
Adorable. Short hair is infinitely more flattering and attractive than long, in my opinion. Most women would look so much better with hair this length (or just slightly longer) than otherwise.
One can't really go wrong with black. For me, however, there is too much cleavage time and too much face time.
Perhaps if her bangs were swept front or a necklace draped her cleavage?
mltt
I love the graceful simplicity of the outfit. I think it takes more daring and style to forgoe all or almost all accessories, including jewelery. Done right, it looks like this, naturally stylish and personal. And I like the simple classic hairstyle, so different than the tortured perms or blow-outs I see too much of. The dress and wearer are both gorgeous!
I LOVE the hair too - she looks wonderful!
Now THIS is minimalism at its best! She looks just perfect.
She looks fresh and gorgeous.

I love, love her smile and quiet confidence!
she looks really familiar.. have you posted a picture of her before? i think she had curly hair then.
I think this is the third appearance on the blog of this awesome chica? Nothing is more stylish than looking comfortable and confident in your clothes. She definitely looks that.
She is also a very nice girl by the name of Marcella!
Thats on 64th street not 68th street! Im pretty sure sense its right across the street from the chanel store.
