The whole look is age appropriate and clean, but her stockings and shoes, I would definitely wear at any age!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:48 PM) :

Love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:04 PM) :

I dunno... I think without the cutesy skull pin (?) it's a bit boring. Cute haircut though!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:04 PM) :

the skull motif is so tired

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:06 PM) :

Adorable Tim Burton-ish sweater embellishment! Too cute! Much more sophisticated than a Hello Kitty motif.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:46 PM) :

i think emo kids ruined skulls for everyone but i like how her getup is very minimalistic. im diggin the shoes and stockings.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:55 PM) :

the shoes (campers?) are great and the hair is great, but the whole ensemble is rather unappealing. blah.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:34 PM) :

Love the Nightmare Before Christmas brooch--Jack Skellington is kind of a different holiday season look! I like the shoes too, but lose the nurse tights. It's Miami, for crying out loud!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:37 PM) :

you may be paying more attention to the shoes and tights, but i want her cardie! so cute!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:40 PM) :

Why would you wear tights with sandles in Miami Beach when it's warm enough to wear short sleeves and no coat?

Otherwise it continues your black/white study of Miami ladies.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:47 PM) :

everything about this outfit is just bad. the tights and shoes are the icing on that bad cake.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:16 PM) :

i think these are interesting, but ive seen style in miami that is hand over hand more interesting.ATWR

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:48 PM) :

This is sort of the opposite of the last post. I love all of the litle details--the pin, the tights, the shoes!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:55 PM) :

I love the skull and the shoes very original...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:17 PM) :

wow wow wow, I love the tights, I love the shoes with them. wow.

btw; I heard white tights are in, is that true?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:50 PM) :

are you kidding? she's fantastic. dark haired beauties from miami? they can wear whatever they want. skull pins? they work if you're not so ahead of the cognitive curve so as to live in perpetual non-irony. this is why class works best in new york: because irony no longer does. in miami and los angeles, irony is like wearing tomorrow's pleats (for men) or yesterday's jewelry (for women) in this fair city. Long live dark haired beauties from miami! new york city rules!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:51 AM) :

I hate the skull but I LOVE the send-up of geriatric Miami with the white tights and shoes. She's looks like a punk retiree! Hilarious and awesome.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:29 AM) :

A sweet goth....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:10 AM) :

gosh, she's cool! i adore her shoes, and the stockings! 10 points!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:13 AM) :

i´m almost sure about the shoes, they are not camper but another spanish shoes company, named VIALIS, not as famous abroad but really cool...
love your blog, it´s great been able to know usa tendences from a little town in spain!
thanks a lot!
ester.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:05 AM) :

I agree. The shoes are cute but the whole look is rather boring...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:05 AM) :

I agree. The shoes are cute but the whole look is rather boring...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:50 AM) :

How cute is that dancing dead happy little skull?

Wow, this look is truly original. I am speechless. Don't you think the seventies consevative end of the spectrum haircut really makes it? Like is this a clever throwback to the Dorothy Hamill archetype? Does anyone get the wholesome sporty vibe I am talking about?

I have to say I find this delightful and utterly surprising. You certainly won't find this look in French Vogue. (Uh, not that there is anything wrong with that.)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:00 AM) :

A bit too conservative overall for my taste (and agree the skull is over, already), but I do love the tonal stocking/sandal combo - and the shape of the shoe is great.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:36 AM) :

Don't like the shoes! :(

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:43 AM) :

There are very few combinations worse than open toed shoes and tights.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:20 AM) :

If you're going to do a silly trend, do it this way. A plus.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:44 AM) :

I think the sweater and the skirt don't fit right and make her look bigger. But the stockings are great!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:09 AM) :

The shoes are from the spring-summer 06 collection by Vialis (Barcelona).

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:52 PM) :

You have got to be kidding! I am 55 years old and wouldn't be caught dead looking this frumpy, never mind the skull. I agree with the anonymous poster who didn't find the open toe shoes with tights appealing. I have always found this look, and the pantyhose with sandals look, totally ghastly regardless of what is being shown on some runways. The woman is cute but she does not need to be encouraged to wear this outfit again!

Hello Nurse!

Blogger NATRIBU said ... (4:52 PM) :

I love that shoes. She has a perfect style...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:59 PM) :

Don't care for that style of shoes with textured stocking.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:20 PM) :

Aren't we all ready to be over the ubiquitous skull thing?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:27 PM) :

adorable!!! love the retro vibe, great hair too!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:41 PM) :

The skull is her saving grace, without it her look would be too old lady-ish.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:21 PM) :

The shoes are vialis but roberto del carlo has a very similar style i got last spring..in black.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:57 PM) :

I am really digging that skull badge.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:18 AM) :

the skull detail on the cardigan looks awesome, great look indeed.

Blogger in defense of retail therapy said ... (2:47 AM) :

funny. one of us at savvy has a pair of shoes almost exactly like those, but in red. nine west 8 years ago.

Blogger Jan said ... (9:07 PM) :

Laura Bush meets Pippi Longstockings meets Jack Skellington.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:35 AM) :

at least polish your shoes.... I do agree with a comment i read... they look like a pair of nine west from at least a decade ago.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:14 PM) :

She most be on holiday in Miami. She lives in CPH!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:10 PM) :

I really love these shoes!!! they are VIALIS!!! It is a shoe brand from Barcelona, and I love every design from them!!check www.vialis.es and have fun!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:17 PM) :

hmmm not exactly beachy to me.
