2.45am? Sarto, are you getting enough sleep.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:30 AM) :

This woman stops to rest a second and becomes a master's painting. Everything is right, from the shoulder cap on the fur vest, the interest of the vest lacing, the central and almost dominant scarf, to the gathering of folds on the lower sleeves, to the complexity of the pants, all of them bright gray sky colors. Her hair is wonderful with the vest. Beautiful photograph.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:49 AM) :

WOW what an amazing look!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:08 AM) :

Brilliant use to layering and textures to bring out the details in an otherwise bland colored outfit. She made grey so chic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:18 AM) :

I love those trousers!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:17 AM) :

In grey: the combination of the textures is just perfect and beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:43 AM) :

oohhhh!!! love it! silver fox is all that came into my mind! perfect! it beautifully sets off that gorgeous hair! uhm uhmm uhmmmmm!!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:36 AM) :

I can't believe these girs are people you find on the streets. I supose they are models, aren't they?

Blogger Pillole Di Moda said ... (6:37 AM) :

i never thought an all-grey outfit could look so good.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:58 AM) :

all the grey is beautiful. i am coveting her white shirt, the light grey scarf, and the trousers.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:32 AM) :

Fur again! I do enjoy seeing these younger women wearing fur - and her long hair juxtaposed against the grey fur makes the contrast even more apparent. It's also another example of grey on grey, which we seem to be seeing more of.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:41 AM) :

Interesting look! What a great vest! Goes great with everything else. The colors remind me of the ice storm we have here in Upstate NY...kind of 'cool'.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:13 AM) :

beautiful. monotone with use of different textures is on point.

Blogger www.jennyhyun.tv said ... (8:23 AM) :

I love the layering of the top, there's just so much going on and yet it doesn't feel like too much, everything just fits.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:03 AM) :

Love the monochromatic silver -- silver fox, silver clutch, silver gray pants. Incredibly stylish.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:07 AM) :

If she had tied her hair in a ponytail, the overall appearance would have been less hairy. S.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:17 AM) :

nice shot, nice palette of colours, nice girl, wonderful hair: is she a professional model? I mean: is it her own style, or someone chose the (great)outfit for her?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:44 AM) :

Great gray!

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (9:49 AM) :

Firstly noticed the beautiful tailoring on the trousers. Then the grey palate - lovely. I also really like the fold of the fur and the folds of the scarf, the different structure of them both. A beautiful outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:05 AM) :

Although really nice, This seems a carefully planned look, for some reason, it doesn't have a carefree feel to it at all. I wonder what perfume she is wearing, you know she has every detail down.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:15 AM) :

Love that look. Just has a nice edge to it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:16 AM) :

Love that look. Just has a nice edge to it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:22 AM) :

I'm not crazy about the fur but the clothes and textures is BRILLIANT!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:25 AM) :

No fur, please!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:28 AM) :

looks like an escimo

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:42 AM) :

Perfection. My brain smiled when the photo loaded.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:44 AM) :

Very stylish. I like the cold colours:)

Blogger The Vintagent said ... (10:52 AM) :

I absolutly adore the slouched mens pants. It alsol looks like she is wearing some ssort of white collared shirt underneath the fur vest which makes it seem like a good outfit to wear to work; when in work all she needs to do is take of her vest and she has a fairly simple ansamble.
Great look and somewhat practical!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:05 AM) :

incredible. there's so much going on and it's all finely tuned. i love it

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:27 AM) :

Nice, but she should use a bag and not her pocket to carry things.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:34 AM) :

When asked if he believed in God, Orson Wells answered, "Of course, who else?"

If asked if I believe in this woman, in everything that appears to my eyes when I see her fabulous beauty and fabulous choices in fabric, drape, color, in her strong animal presence, etc, my answer is, most assuredly, "Yes, of course, who else?"

Thank you, Sart, and to you young miss, for this vision of loveliness. It's going to be a good day now, I can tell.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:51 AM) :

Love it :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:23 PM) :

she looks so unbelieveably chic!
I'm loving the gray.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:24 PM) :

Anastasia!
Chic as Ever!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:27 PM) :

LOVELY! This is so Kate Moss, love the baggy, boyish trousers....you should have put the full shot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:43 PM) :

ANASTASIA

CHIC AS ALWAYS!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:54 PM) :

fur is so hot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:17 PM) :

stunning. Love the fur accent.

Blogger Just an Observation said ... (1:26 PM) :

"Why is she wearing her hair like that" ..... a very unusual way to look and walk around looking like that.....somehow it does not bother me, however I cant help but stare at it ....I don't think that is always a good thing.
Will give her credit for putting the whole look together that most people would not be able to pull off.
Thanks Sar!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:53 PM) :

Love the look, hate the fur (I am not an advocate of fur wearing). I would have loved to see her shoes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:58 PM) :

This look is just perfect.
I love grey.
Personaly I can wear the same outfit but not with a fur vest, maybe in a nice textil.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:08 PM) :

first of all i must show my appreciation to you sartoralist for showcasing all of your beautiful photos. honestly, seeing the effort of so many people brightens my day! on to this young woman....flawless. she remnds me of classic armani ads. 80's and early 90's armani is my total inspiration ( and i'm 22 so go figure!) she just looks strong, confident, independent, and elegant.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:30 PM) :

That is simply gordious!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:42 PM) :

GORGEOUS LOOK !!! it's like a return to the medieval warriors of the north of Europe...like a journey in the time to the Medieval...cool!

Blogger Butch said ... (3:18 PM) :

Love the look, but, at the risk of sounding priggish, can't abide the fur.

Worse, to me, when only a few skins are involved, as the animal is more immediately evoked...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:23 PM) :

I think she balanced feminine/masculine, opulence/casual very well.

Blogger Kelly said ... (3:26 PM) :

Love her look! Not everyone can pull off a pleated pant, but she can.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:36 PM) :

This is totally gorgeous but I can't imagine anyone else being able to pull this off.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:38 PM) :

thats one of the few times ive ever seen the texture of fur capture the sleekness of flat fabrics/ the combination of grays is excellent.- ATWR

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:44 PM) :

Gorgeous! Silver ghost!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:52 PM) :

HOLY GREY!!! I love the colour and her layering, and the textures.....oh she's hot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:52 PM) :

A symphony in grey.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:54 PM) :

very cool look!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:11 PM) :

For me, the best look from Italy so far. The tone of the grey is just perfect. It looks so nonchalant and effortless - echoes of Katharine Hepburn.

Blogger hoi polloi said ... (4:16 PM) :

You know I love fur and think it looks cool, but I just can't condone it. Plus I'm scared I'll be attacked by animal rights people

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:49 PM) :

This has nothing to do with the photo, but I was wondering....sportcoat with jeans, is this acceptable? Can someone clear this up for me?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:06 PM) :

Absolutely love the trousers Sart!! Excellent color. But have to agree with the others who don't like the fur. She looks like she knows what's she's doing, but it may be overkill. All else about this outfit is perfect. Don't even mind the hair

Blogger JYKW said ... (5:11 PM) :

Charming

absolutely charming

Wow, this is so chic. She looks completely unstudied and nonchalant - elegance personified - and yet it's obvious she took time to get dressed since her tonal look works so perfectly. Really lovely.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:45 PM) :

Gorgeous.

Burning question, Sart, do you remember what shoes she was wearing?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:14 PM) :

Somehow she smells like cash money (not a bad thing)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:19 PM) :

being editor in chief for Vogue Homme wouldn't be just a chance… ?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:46 PM) :

She does have kind of the look of the Old North or the Steppes with that vest. I like everything about her appearance and this photo except the outdated notion that wearing real fur is okay. More better fakes, please.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:59 PM) :

Every couple of months one of your pictures interests me so much that I make a local copy for inspiration. As a male who loves tailored clothing, all the pictures I have thus far are of men. This is the first women I'm adding to my collection. Yes, she's very beautiful--but more important, she has just great style. Well done.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:26 PM) :

if this getup was in black or some other tacky color I could have sworn she's Russian. It's a very grown up look she's got on.

Blogger M About Town said ... (12:23 AM) :

I love this look. I really didnt ever think I'd like a fur vest and pleated pants- she just makes it work.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:29 AM) :

Anastasia Barbieri is amazing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:50 AM) :

I'd love to know what kind of scarf this is....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:03 AM) :

lovin the slouchy pants!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:02 AM) :

apparently Cruella DeVille's daughter prefers wolves to dalmatians ...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:03 AM) :

SABRINA I LOVE YOU!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:14 PM) :

Sart, whenever you take photos of stunningly beautiful women, I have a hard time deciding if I like the look because of the fashion, or because of the woman. So, why do I like this?

Oh well, my vote is "yowza!!"

Oh, and I'm glad to see fur making a comeback, the PETA-patrol notwithstanding!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:37 AM) :

Anastasia is the chicest chik in town! And have you seen his Argie husband? He is soooo chic as well. But neither of them put effort...just flows. They are nice people and couple.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:50 AM) :

probably the best look i've seen on your site (in 4 months)
it just captures the best of modernity ;)

Blogger bomb.ass.ting said ... (1:45 PM) :

Absolutely incredible...
Sheer wealth in her look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:07 PM) :

THE GREYS, THE FUR AND THE WOMEN HERSELF REMINDS ME OF MY EX-WIFE RUNNING AROUND WELLESLEY IN THE LATE 70'S

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:00 AM) :

I have looked back to this picture a million times, I adore her look, it's perfect. I'd love to know where that fur gilet is from! Anyone have any ideas? Designer etc??
