great boots

I wish her boots were a different color...

Blogger www.jennyhyun.tv said ... (6:23 PM) :

I'm not a fan of the jacket, and without it this outfit is pretty plain. Nice boots though!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:34 PM) :

meooow, those boots!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:54 PM) :

i'll be honest...not a big fan. everything is a bit too diva-ish and not so subtle, like the whole point was to look rich rather than beautifully dressed. i mean, she's very cute and all but i think if it wasn't a marc jacobs jacket this photo might not have been taken.

Anonymous Leigh said ... (7:03 PM) :

Love the fur details on the coat. Great outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:25 PM) :

Awesome boots.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:26 PM) :

Hate the fur details on the coat.

I know it's going to be everyone's first inclination to knock what she's wearing or at least the jacket or the boot.

However, (and this is an important however), everything she's wearing follows a very simple and very sexy silhoutte. Just step back a little or squint your eyes and you'll notice that nothing bulges out of place and follows a general line. And that's real style folks.

I love the boots too, I'm sure there is some maroon in that t-shirt she's wearing underneath (you can see a little peaking through) and that jacket is just funky enough to offset it.

She's wearing designer stuff, but she doesn't convey much personal style. I am getting sick of this look in nyc.

Blogger Iris Nobile said ... (9:49 PM) :

for serious sart. not feeling it.

Anonymous jkrnyc said ... (9:52 PM) :

Oooh no, love! Too much going on here. I agree with anon 6:54: "I get it, you have money. Style is not the same thing."

Blogger D. Kay said ... (9:54 PM) :

Wow. Kind of a love-hate thing going on here.

I like the confidence. The swagger.

May I have your autograph?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:58 PM) :

gotta say Sart- this is the first time I've been bummed out looking a shot on your sight...she looks like a living Bratz doll and that is not good. Don't get me wrong- I love the site but usually the style is true and real and cool, not plastic as I feel her look is.

Blogger invisible girl said ... (11:44 PM) :

The sartorial details for me are the ring on her finger and the print on her T-shirt. I don't know why, but for me, those details make the look more personal and less "styled". I like it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:55 PM) :

Oh. I hate the feathered elbows.

Gimmicky.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:46 AM) :

Boots, shumuts, she's hot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:52 AM) :

i love marc jacobs, but i don't think the overall look works quite well ...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:03 AM) :

I love it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:36 AM) :

I don't know that I really love any one piece, but it looks good all together.

Is this a short-sleeved coat with fur trim?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:34 AM) :

Love the jacket! Nice details, also at the boots. Great look!

Anonymous felicia said ... (8:41 AM) :

The boots are wondie :)

Blogger stella b. said ... (8:46 AM) :

i think she's cool. the boots, arm warmers and printed tee say she's a rock chic deep down. the mj jacket is a funky and cute way to top it all off.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:53 AM) :

my friend tried on this jacket, and it was insanely lovely. beautiful cut, the fur was just the right hit of unexpected lushness. but she did it with a wider straight leg jean, a gray flannel flat, and a navy turtleneck. and SHE looked chic and intentional.

i have to agree, this girl looks like a bunch of trends just exploded on her. poor thing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:38 PM) :

agh! Those shades... no.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:06 PM) :

I agree with positive/negative. She is completely in proportion and the tight pony tail and the sunglasses keep everything in line. She also looks like she means what she's wearing.
I like it.

hey sart---
hmmm... not a fan of the look. the whole thing screams..."trying to hard"

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:53 AM) :

i love these boots with those thighs.
everyone can't wear skinny jeans.
but, it's hard to go wrong with this look..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:57 PM) :

you know, while i can see people's point that maybe the look may be a bit 'trying-too-hard,' but maybe you're taking the criticism even a little too far. if you didn't know that the jacket was marc jacobs, would you be snubbing it? The fact that you know she's wearing designer clothing doesn't necessarily make her style 'boring' or make her a bad person. true, it is a skill to be able to dress nicely in non-designer or unknown designer clothes, but it doesn't mean designer clothes are evil. i agree with positive_negative in saying there is a nice line to the outfit. im not a fan of fur myself, but i think the coat is different and takes guts to wear.

Not a fan of those shades on women. Ugghh!
