Finally some more underground NY street fashion. A bit of a departure for you sart, no?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:57 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:09 PM) :

perfect shot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:55 PM) :

(sigh) i wish i could get my husband to pick up a little of this look instead of his standard hooded sweatshirt and jeans look. so very hot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:42 PM) :

basquiat, is that you?

*sigh* handsome man.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:57 PM) :

I can't concentrate on the clothes with that bulge and all

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:03 PM) :

well done, playa.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:53 PM) :

Hmmm,
What was he reading? It's oft a book that's the sexiest part of an ensemble.

mltt

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:07 PM) :

My favorite shot. That is Basquiat yea?

Blogger Butch said ... (9:57 PM) :

Red cig, silver pinkie ring, camouflage cap worn way back on the head and genital bulge: perfect accessorizing!

Blogger DK said ... (10:03 PM) :

I feel like burning ghanja, listening to Buju Banton, and writing poetry that promotes conceptual thinking.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:07 PM) :

I love this jacket. I might even sacrifice proper fit and wear it, could I find it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:27 PM) :

Great pants.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:00 PM) :

the pants are great, especially whithin the context of the rest of the outfit. red cig wtf?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:25 PM) :

sorry to break it to you but Basquiat died in '88. keep the look alive.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:30 AM) :

Wow, definitely channeling Basquiat. Amazing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:31 AM) :

I think he is the only guy ever who can pull off the pinkey ring and not look like a jerk-off.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:59 AM) :

is that a priority mail box in his friend's hand?

if so, a-ha! they get their style on ebay!

Blogger Max said ... (2:48 AM) :

The matching polo shirt and cigarette are a little much, but the outfit is fabulous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:53 AM) :

I love that street look - that's a great shot (:
I especially love the hat the guy in the backround is wearing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:39 AM) :

Great colors.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:59 AM) :

Merry Christmas from France

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:26 AM) :

Wonderful! Classic sartorialist.!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:57 AM) :

Yess...now what (or who) are he and the mailman looking at, I wonder?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:03 AM) :

I dig the way he did his hair into a black version of a pompadour. Very cool!! His looks says "I'm cool to hang out with and my taste in music is really good"...and i'm sure he's right.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:55 AM) :

ha ha i was standing next to this guy in line but i dropped out after an hour (i'm sure he waited at least 3!). whilst in line, i kept thinking, this queue is a sartorialist field day! lo and behold you were there!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:52 AM) :

This picture is extremely charming and cool.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:16 PM) :

Great shot indeed - cool personality and matching outfit!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:25 PM) :

the cigarette (is that what he's smoking) pose is good - looks like he is starting to blow a kiss to the photographer.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:31 PM) :

Perfect. So urban and eclectic. What a beautiful, beautiful man.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:15 PM) :

Too cool.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:19 PM) :

the guy looks nothing like Basquiat, it seems like everytime a black guy that is somewhat hip gets compared to Basquiat on this Blog, open your eyes people!! there is no resemblance, nice outfit though.....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:40 AM) :

Just wanted to post again because I read the entries after mine and couldn't figure out this "Basquiat" reference.

I've since been educated on this artist (I was only a kid when he died so soon).

And, err, I don't think it fits at all for this "dandy dreadlocks dude" but at least I can place the reference now.

Thank you, Sart, for allowing this to be a place of education on all things and not just fashion!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:57 PM) :

They are either compared to basquiat or Andre 3000....LOL

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:05 AM) :

Sweet confident and sexy!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:08 PM) :

Very cute guy. Great attitude. Makes you want to meet him. On top of it all - great sense of style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:34 AM) :

Now that's a well put together man
