I like it. The touch of purple with the black adds to the overall look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:33 AM) :

that rich shade of purple is to die for.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:44 AM) :

Simply amazing....it's the little changes that set the outfit apart from what everyone else has on

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:56 AM) :

purple and grey really IS everywhere! LOVE IT.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:15 PM) :

Adorable. love the whole combo.

This woman looks adventurous and sophisticated, I love her attire. There are "trendy" elements such as the slim legs with tall boots. The sweater and the black pieces make the whole thing grown up without looking deadly boring. She looks edgy in a very young, comfortable and personal way, yet "adult" enough to make it legitimate: smart rather than secure by combining color and textures in balanced proportions.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:41 PM) :

This was so beautiful!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:32 PM) :

love the gray coat

I have a jacket that looks like hers.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:23 PM) :

i love her coat!

Nice picture.
I love brick walls, and the striped awning is a good contrast.

The woman is OK too!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:25 PM) :

Very cute! I'm doing a lot of the same right now. All black and a pair of boots, mine are dark brown though not purple.

Blogger Deanna said ... (3:26 PM) :

She's very dramatic looking, in a relaxed "i'm not trying to be dramatic looking" kind of way. I envy her boots!

what is it about asian women in this town -- they are always so cool, so elegant in a completely graceful and, apparently, inate way. generalizations are generally a mistake, but it's so remarkable it's hard to ignore.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:18 PM) :

How do you find these people?! She's a stunner.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:27 PM) :

Maybe Japanese? Exquisite combination, and the mystery and coolness of it all....She has to be Japanese.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:08 PM) :

yeah, what maria said.

Blogger Carissa Duhamel said ... (8:13 PM) :

A friend of mine dresses exactly like this, the likeness of their styles is uncanny.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:46 PM) :

she is very cute and dresses well. just needs to smile! :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:11 PM) :

Love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:37 PM) :

yea i love her coat too! great length... oh her bag looks yummy too!

Blogger C said ... (3:01 AM) :

LOVE it! Purple is a great choice - unique enough to stand out, but subtle enough not to stand out too much (like red would)

Blogger Alessandro said ... (4:51 AM) :

effortless and gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:14 AM) :

Very elegant

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:08 PM) :

all of this is really wonderful and looking great on her!

Blogger Trendy Socialite said ... (12:55 PM) :

I know it's unavoidable, but what's the rule on the portfolio and a large tote? She looks a little weighed down to me.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:26 PM) :

Isn't this the cute suspenders girl? (high wasted pants, black and white striped top), a.k.a. hottie?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:40 PM) :

where can a girl get some of those purple boots? does anyone know? they are sooo gorgeous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:09 PM) :

I absolutely love the whole outfit!!! Very simple but very nice...

Off topic-

Was this taken on Bleecker in West Village, right down from Magnolia Bakery (blue & white awning)? I just came from there (last month) on my birthday, and it looks like the same street.

Love NY. And I'm sure you don't need me to tell you but your pics are always AWESOME.
